They've just completed taking down 11 large (well over 100 ft tall hard timber) trees that were close to our house, one less than 10 feet. They were well equipped with heavy equipment. Several very hard working men that were incredibly respectful. They cleaned everything up, you can't even tell there were trees cut down! These men are the true vikings of tree service! I have called Matthews Tree Service to remove two trees over the last five years and have been very happy with both jobs. They have excellent equipment and safely and efficiently get the job done. They are very nice and pleasant people. And they also clean up and remove the trees and debris. I would highly recommend their services to anyone.

Excellent company with all needed equipment in good working order for great, diligent employees to work well together to get job completed efficiently with owners recommendations. Does very well with carefully removing limbs & trees close to and over fences & houses. And leaves site as neatly as possible after tree removals & stump grinding.

I had a weeping cherry tree that was growing too close to my roof and i had to have it cut down. They came gave me an estimate, told me they would be back in-between other jobs within two weeks. They were! They cut down the tree and removed every leaf of debris. I am very impressed with them and will use them from now on. Great job. With work ethic too!!

I had 7 tall evergreen trees plus 2 regular trees, one medium sized and one small tree removed. While removing these trees I ask if they would also remove 5 or 6 overgrown shrubs around a shed. The complete crew was very professional and friendly in all removal activities. They ground down all stumps, cleaned up all debris prior to leaving the site. If I need a trees service again, I will definitely call them. Thank you for the great job!

Umm literally saved our house/life. We noticed a VERY tall pine in my neighbor’s yard leaning towards the room where my infant and I sleep. He answered, on a Sunday afternoon, came out immediately, agreed with others that it wouldn’t last long since it was splintering at the base, and went back, got his supplies, without a crew, right before an anticipated storm, just to help save our house.

Besides them being extraordinarily kind, quick and helpful, they cleaned up every ounce of needle and cone afterwards.

Overall great experience. The crew was very efficient and professional. I feel like the pricing was fair, as well. It’s like the trees were never there. I will definitely be recommending to others

Had numerous trees removed and they did an outstanding job! Very professional and courteous! Their price was very reasonable for the amount of work that was done. This was our 2nd time using them and in both instances, we were very pleased!

Can’t speak to the quality of the service and or goods provided by this company but I was basically run off the road by a company truck the other day. They were hauling a wood splitter or some other machine behind them and were weaving in-between traffic and cars and pushed my out of my lane going 75+mph on a 65 road. Not super impressed on how said truck represented the company

We are very pleased with Matthews Tree Service! Today they removed two very large oak trees. The crew were on time and ready to get started. Their clean up was amazing. Even raked away branches and twigs. We will definitely be using them again.We will also recommend them to everyone.

Editing review for July 29, 2025.......Called Matthews this morning due to a neighbors tree falling on my house during the storms last night. They were here in a couple of hours, cut the tree off my house and cleaned everything up and did all this under a heat advisory. I HIGHLY recommend these guys!! Five stars all the way around!

Great company. VERY professional from start of the job to the very end. I like that they absolutely did everything they told me they would. I would highly recommend Matthews. The only one i will call on again.

Could not ask for a more professional crew. We had a massive tree with branches hanging directly over or home. They removed this tree like it was nothing. Very reasonably priced and job absolutely well done.

The crew arrived on time and started working immediately. The crew trimmed some trees, ground stumps and removed selected trees in a very timely manner. The trees and limbs and debris was all raked and clean up very efficiently. We were very impressed with the quality of workmanship and the price was less than other tree services had quoted. Great job, would highly recommend! They protected our grass and other landscaping and cleaned up every piece. They also hauled away extra debris I had out.

Lightening struck a large tree close to my house. Called Matthews and left a message. Call was returned within 2 hours and we discussed what I wanted. Matthews came out the following afternoon to analyze situation. Then they gave me a fair price and a reasonable time frame. The job was done safely, debris removed, stump ground, and site smoothed and now there is no evidence a tree was ever there except for a bald spot and a few chips. I am very satisfied. I highly recommend! The crew provided excellent service, was quick to assist with a fallen tree, and just a great group of guys!

They were the only ones to show up when they said they were going to and they were extremely reasonable with pricing! They had to remove 5 extremely large pieces of tree trunk from my yard and that’s all I was paying for but they went ahead and got the smaller pieces to. The guy on the phone was so so nice and even called me back to let me know I forgot to send him my address and he squeezed me in before the 4th of July after hearing that 3 different people didn’t show up and that one had outrageous pricing, even though he was pressed for time he made a way. His workers were extremely nice and professional. They did a great job, I recommend them to everyone and I’ll use them in the future.

Best price and done a excellent job, I have dreaded having this done for sometime but they did a awesome job. Can’t amazing anyone doing a better job.

I highly recommend these guys! We had two trees removed from our front yard, one of which was of considerable size. They took them down in no time, cleaned up everything and left my yard with what I would consider very minimal damage. All done for the best price as well. Give them a call!

Wow....... that's all I can say. I've hired a previous tree company and the person apparently didn't want to do the job. He kept putting me off. I need it this tree cut down ASAP ,we needed out if the way to expand a new driveway. Not only mr. Mathews call back right away but his crew came and cut the tree the next day. His crew was excellent, friendly and considerate of my need . They made sure my driveway was cleared so could head to a Dr.s appointment. I am beyond satisfied and I will recomend them anytime. They go my business for 2 more trees .

Matthews Tree Service does it all expertly and efficiently. They cut a big tree down for me and then came back to grind the stump later. I had another small stump I needed ground up and they showed up and ground that stump down for free. I recommend them for any tree problems.

Steven and his crew did an awesome job cutting trees, trimming trees & grinding down stumps. They do great work & have the best machinery I have ever seen in the tree service business. They did an awesome job for us today! Took down 2 large maple trees, one old stump, 3 overgrown holly bushes and several older shrubs. Arrived about 2:30 and were finished well before dark. Cleaned up all the limbs, leaves and excessive wood chips. Thanks Steve and crew!
