i can't say enough good things about Masters Roof Service. we are extremely happy with our complete roof tear off, new shingles, skylight replacement, and new gutters. the price was very reasonable and the service has been excellent. we've already told our neighbors and friends in pico rivera about how trustworthy and reliable they are. besides the great work, what really stood out was how much we could count on them. after getting quotes from about 10 other roofing companies, we were originally focused on finding a 'preferred' or 'platinum' contractor, but then we met brady from the crew. even though they weren’t on that list, we immediately felt comfortable. brady asked the right questions and answered all of our follow-up questions quickly, which none of the others did. i even called about the warranties and found out that as long as the roof is installed to manufacturer specs, the warranty is the same no matter who does it. companies with those certifications just tend to be bigger and have more overhead. we chose this team and couldn't be happier. months later, after a heavy rain, we noticed a leak and texted brady. he replied right away and showed up the next morning with the crew. after lots of water testing, they found out the leak wasn’t actually from the roof but from an old plumbing vent that wasn't capped properly by whoever did a previous addition. even though it wasn’t a roofing issue, they took care of us completely. when it comes to warranties and service, they really do go above and beyond. we couldn’t be more satisfied.

But, after expecting them to come and fix it, we had to wait a while without any communication. After reaching out to them, they promptly sent Danny to address the issue. He notified us of the need for further repairs, which we agreed to. A couple of weeks later, we had to call their office again and were told we would get a call back. Unfortunately, the call back didn't happen. Then, suddenly, they were ready to show up to fix the roof the next day. They did come, but they encountered an issue that required additional work. I understand that roofing can be complicated, but the lack of upfront communication was a bit frustrating. They also mentioned that they didn't want to inspect the rest of the roof because we were consulting with a lawyer. But, we were left wondering how we'd know if more work was needed if they didn't inspect it. We live in Pico Rivera, an area where homes are valued at $800k and above. This often leads to contractors attempting to overcharge. This wasn't an insurance job, it was out of pocket. So, if I can't get timely responses, it makes me question whether I want to invest significant amounts of money with this company. I am still waiting for the photos that Danny promised some months ago. Nonetheless, they did come and do the job while we were on vacation and they did an excellent job. My intention is not to be overly critical, but rather to suggest that improved communication could make a big difference.
