Malone Roofing

This company came highly recommended to me from multiple friends who worked with Mahone in the past and had work done by him. He was detailed in his explanation at the time of initial assessment of my roof and did a temporary fix to get into better weather. My roof had multiple ridges, valleys into a low slope roof, maybe 1/12pitch. Shingles were used on the high pitch sections and I can't remember the type of rubber on the low pitch. They did an amazing job. Any issues that arose during removal and replacing were discussed and done quickly and efficiently. An example was the low pitch roof had some condensation build up under the old roofing material. A roof vent was recommended and we decided to go for it. As a carpenter myself his knowledge and professionalism were great. Fair pricing for great service. I would recommend Malone Roofing to anyone. Residential and commercial.

Ed and his company is very easy to work with This is the second roof he has done for me in the last year. They are professional, the work is done correct and right the first time. I would use him again for another job.

I would not recommend unless you know about roofing and the materials that could be used. Malone roofing was hired to repair a leak by replacing shingles. He was confident without ever coming inside the house to investigate the leak that he knew where the leak was and what was causing it which I though was weird but I’m not the professional. After a few attempts he still couldn’t find and fix the leak. I contacted him each time he left and it rained and it was still leaking. He didn’t believe me that it was still leaking. I sent videos and pictures showing where it was. Up until the final time he came to fix the leak he was replacing shingles sections by section. So one would assume unless discussed that he would contained to do so. Then without my consent or even having knowledge of what a rubber roof was he decided to install that instead. Only once was a rubber roof mentioned and that was when he was only telling me the options at original estimate. He installed it and never gave me color options or anything but whites that I knew he was putting it on and gave my consent, which is a lie I have all the messages to prove what was said and most importantly not said. Then he quoted me on a price and I paid another. He has terrible communication skills and does whatever he wants without asking the customer. I now have a terrible looking non matching white “rubber roof” on my house that looks like a pool liner material. Then he tried to charge me more to paint it even though it’s not even the material I ever wanted or ever agreed to have on my house. So although yes the leak is fixed now I have a house that has an non matching roof and double the price originally quoted. I am one who also asks questions so with that being said if I knew or consented to a different roofing material I would have done my research and most importantly color options before agreeing to a rubber roof. Unfortunately in my opinion I was scammed and I would not Recommend.
