The employees here are exceptional!
They greet you at the door and ask if they can help you find anything.
I have also found that if the person assisting you doesn't have an answer they ask another employee. They don't just answer with what ever comes to mind.
ACE is my go to place.

Madison Ace hardware is always great. Great products, great service with a great attitude. At ACE you can find everything you need within about 15 steps of each other. You don't have to run a marathon like you do with the big box stores to pull your supplies together for a project.

Every time I go here the staff is friendly and helpful I can tell someone puts a lot of effort into hiring good people. The place is always clean. I like shopping there.

Always nice to shop here someone always willing to help You find things and they give you space if you don't need help also.

I have shopped at several Ace Hardware is all over the country and this is by far the best staffed one I love this place

The Madison team will go out of their way to help you find you what you need. If they don't have it, you can order it or they'll tell you where to get it

Knowledgeable staff, prices are about average-something’s are slightly higher than the big box stores but the drive easily offsets the difference. Large selection of traditional hardware store items as well as some neat odds and ends.

Edited 11/20/24- sadly had to drop to 1 star. Unfortunately this location has a major issue anymore…and that is bare shelves. This has been ongoing for about a year. There was a FB post made (supposedly by the owner) stating that they had experienced some financial hardships and a corrective action was in place. Whatever that action was just wasn’t enough. They continue to have issues with no stock. When you go to get something simple like a drill bit or socket, they need to have it in stock. I rarely bother going in here anymore, I just suck it up and drive to Valdosta. By the time I get there and back it’s quicker than checking local just to have to go there anyways. They’ve got some great folks working there, but they can’t sell what they don’t have. And offering to order it in just makes no sense….most folks in a hardware store need it now. Not 3 days from now.

All of the people there are very knowledgeable about their products. You don't get very far into the store without being asked if they can help you. If you're looking to get a chip key made, call ahead and make sure they have it. It only takes two weeks to get it in stock, so that's nice.
