We hired this company in Nov 2021 to replace our roof. Things were going well at first and the project was moving along until a building inspector stopped by because a permit hadn't been issued for the work. Before agreeing to work with this company, I specifically stated that permits were required in our city so this came as a surprise given this understanding.

We had to hire another contractor to inspect, replace/repair issues in the work that had been performed by Caleb and his team, and complete the roofing project. His team also damaged one of our fence gates and knicked our neighbor's roof with one of the lifts the team was using. Caleb has never paid us or responded to any attempts to working out an arrangement for paying for those damages or refunding any of the loss in materials we had to have replaced as a result of his and his team's work.

Contrary to the website, neither Caleb nor his company were registered with the state of Idaho as a contractor nor were either bonded when we hired them for the project. Insurance info was eventually provided but it was handyman insurance and didn't even cover his work on roofs unless it was a repair related to a handyman project (we were replacing the entire roof, not remodeling or working on handyman projects).
