It was a very hot day. Mikey is a fantastic Project Manager, guide his team and helped when needed. The cleanup was fantastic! J. Smegal Roofing is fortunate to have Mikey. Love my new roof it’s exactly what I wanted and look amazing.

Pretty remarkable this project could be accomplished in one day, considering they not only stripped the old roof, but added a layer of plywood as well, in temperatures that hit 95 degrees. Every member of the crew-6 plus Raul, the chief, worked together seamlessly. There was not one moment where anybody was going like “hmm, what do I do next?”
No doubt they were exhausted! Amazing they do this 5 or 6 days a week! They deserve to be well compensated for their work which I hope is true.
J Smegal is obviously a well-run company. They earned every one of the 5 stars I gave them.

Great experience. We had a full roof replacement in granite black. Crew arrived on time, were very courteous, completed the job on one day, and fully cleaned up after themselves. 10/10 recommend.

On 3/21 a tree landed on my house. Next day we were to get rain. Tommee and the crew came up Saturday morning to put the tarp up a few hours before it rained . Tommee let me know he covered an additional hole. Good thing he took the time to check the whole roof rather than check the section the tree landed on. Saved me a lot on potential water damage as we had rain for many days on end. The crew was great and I'm glad I made the right move.

On July 7th after many days of rain it was finally the day to replace the roof. Tommee let me know the plywood had to be replaced. He provided many pictures and I trusted his judgment as I saw myself the wood had to be replaced. With a crew of 6 they got it all done by the end of day. While I was at work my wife and my neighbors noticed how efficient Tommee and the crew worked during the day. They let me know how great they were.

We had our new roof installed this week and we couldn’t be happier. Raul and his team arrived on time and in 1 day our roof was completed. The team was polite and worked efficiently throughout the day.

We could not be any happier with our experience with Smegal Roofing. From the first phone call requesting an estimate to the completion of the entire job. Raul and his entire crew were just amazing, five hours of nonstop working and they got it all done before the rain. We feel so confident in their work, it was apparent they all knew what to do and when, really worked as a team. Thank you very much for our beautiful new roof.

Raul was friendly ,professional and very attentive to all that was happening on the roof. He shared any issues that came up and addressed them with expert suggestions while being respectful and listening to ideas. Mikey and his crew were INCREDIBLE. We wish we had this kind of professionalism and attention to detail with other services we've gotten in the area. I’m in the process of having a metal roof installed by J Smegal Roofing & Gutters My friend told me about them. If you are considering a “Roofing Expert” these are the “guys” for you! Initially, I dealt with Eric regarding the cost. He explained everything thoroughly and he wasn’t “pushy.” I believe he wanted me to be happy with this major investment. Ian took a video of my roof to show me where the wood had rotted., this helped me to understand the roof issues. Ian and his professional crew are here finishing up the job…I love the roof!

I am sending this on behalf of my landlord Don Goudey who does not use an iPhone and does not know how to use a QR code. He said to make sure I gave Raul and the crew an excellent review. He’s very happy with every aspect of this project. Raul was wonderful to work with.

J. Smegal’s team of roofers was able to identify and repair several issues on our new roof that another general contractor had ignored. New were previously installed by a local East Otis contractor and subcontractor and in less than a year they were starting to “fish mouth.” Our former General Contractor, who was an absolute nightmare to work with, chalked the issue up as natural expansion and contraction and refused to address it. J. Smegal’s roofers found that the previous GC hadn’t properly attached the drip edge to the roof, and as a result shingles were buckling. J. Smegal also installed our new gutters. They look great!

Stripped the old roof, replaced 11 sheets of plywood due to water damages, installed two crickets and installed the new roof all in one day. No messing around with Raul and this hard working crew. Cleaned up the mess, no nails on the ground. Not sure how it could be any better. Very Happy.

Couldn't be more pleased with the J Smegal experience. Raul and his team went above and beyond when doing our roof. I would give them 10 stars if I could. They started at about 8am and had to replace 3 sheets of plywood on our roof and all our shingles, they were still able to get the job done in a timely manner.

Not only did they do an exceptional job but they also cleaned our gutters.They went the extra mile with the clean up also.

Professional crew. Reece the sight manager was very helpful. The company subcontracts the roofers and the sight manager ensures the products are installed to IKO manufacture standards to be covered by the 50 year manufacture backed warranty.

They cleaned up the area and double checked for any stray nails prior to leaving the worksite. Reece reviewed the job with me and provided contact information in case I had any concerns about the roof. The team was outstanding through the whole process. From initial estimate to booking to the job and clean-up, they were communicative and professional. You were passed from one phase to another, but never made to feel by anyone that your business, however minor, was insignificant. Recently we had a new roof installed. The entire experience could not have been better. First we worked with Jake who helped us with any questions and concerns we had with the process and what needed to be done. Day of installation Jack, our project mananger showed up promptly. He and his crew began to get to work immediately. We could not believe how efficient and precise they were. They finished the roof in one day and left our yard spotless for any debris or nails. I had a new roof put on my house in Housatonic. The foreman Ian was very professional, very communicative, and was a pleasure to work with.
