Had an extreme makeover restoration done after a fire, and Kidd's did an absolutely outstanding job. As with any older property, they ran into several challenges, but they came through with creative workarounds that worked (and passed inspection!) every time. They listened well, gave plenty of status updates and came within budget. Restoration of a standalone property like this takes a long time, be prepared for a long haul. The results are worth it.

I called Kidd's 3 times over a span of a month and was told that someone named Dale would call me back. They never did. I used their websites contact form as well and still have never heard back.

Either they're doing so well they don't care for my business or they're useless, but I'm beyond caring to find out.

At first, the service seemed great. Was out at our home the next day when we had a water leak, acted quick to remove insolation and apply anti-microbial agents. However, we never received an estimate until after the work was done. Once we did get a bill, the charge on work that did not require a professional was high. We were charged roughly $600 for two dehumidifiers to be unmonitored for three days when we could have bought similar models for $400 total. The work seems okay, but not getting an "estimate" until all of the work is already done is not a good business practice, and most of what we were charged for was basically equipment rental. Be sure to get an estimate first, and make sure you know what each action is costing you. You can probably save money just by doing most of the work yourself.

Herman did an excellent job on my carpets. He is a nice man---respectful and professional. I've had him come before and I'm never disapointed.
Thank you!!!

We're great when the did my mold remediation but afterwards left a air scrubber in my basement running for months. Told me a duct cleaning would be done . That's never been done. My insurance company can't get in touch with them or they won't answer them. My electric bill is sky high cause of the equipment still running. My basement is still tore apart and I have a storage container in my driveway and all my stuff has been out there since October. This ridiculous I wish I would've used a reputable company. Horrible business to work with. A. Campbell

They have been fixing a flood in our apartment building since July. From the looks of it they work 2 hours a day and sit around on their phones the rest, when they aren't screaming at each other on the street that is. I'm a contractor. I know what it takes to do repairs and they have not done anything up to par. I hate that they have a monopoly over the area and that there isn't much we can do. Because I would never ever hire them for any service.

Mind you -- Waterstone pizza had a pipe burst and flooded, and was fixed in less than 4 days. I can tell my apartment complex is not their priority which means peoples lives aren't a priority. Mold is dangerous. My partner is now getting sick from the mycotoxins they've allowed to grow. And their employees from the looks of it are far far far from professional. And definitely not certified restoration experts.

A crew came in our shop to clean all the metal beams because there had been a fire next door that had left black residue. When they finally showed up, they did a great job the first day. When they left for the day everything looked very nice. On the second day by the time they partially completed the other side of shop it was a complete mess. Everything they had cleaned above head was just left to drop below.... water mixed w soot and dirty. My entire area was covered, items purposefully broken and moved. My printer was soaked for no reason because I had moved so things such as that to an area of the shop that had already been cleaned. I contacted the business to let them know and I received no response. I wouldn't recommend this business ever. Never!

Kidd's was amazing from start to finish. I have never dealt with a more professional and better craftsmanship than Kidd's. We had sewage that backed up into our home. Insurance assigned us Kidd's so I was a little nervous. But Roy ( from Kidd's) called me the next day and had guys out already working that morning and ready to clean up and get it back in shape. They listened when I had concerns and were flexible on ideas. They did the cleaning (which was a hard job but they did great) and the restoration was honestly way better than it was before. They were awesome and great communicators and felt very safe with them in our house. They are running an awesome business!

I use Kidds for rug and upholstery cleaning. They always do an incredible job, and stand behind their work. Herman has come to our house to clean our sofas several times. He is so thorough and careful - I have always been pleased. I've also dropped off rugs, and the staff is very truthful about what they can do, and what rugs will not turn out well.

First time using Kidds Restoration and Cleaning and I would use them again if I had to, let's hope I don't, lol. We had water damage in our closet, not a huge area but they still took care of us like we were their only customer. Definitely recommend you go no where else and hire Kidds Restoration for you water damage cleanup.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
