Shoutout to J&B Home Renovations — they seriously saved me. I’m in Glenview and after the last storm, I found a few roof shingles in my driveway and figured that’s not a great sign . Searched for roof repair near me and saw good reviews for J&B, so I gave them a shot.

They came out the next morning, inspected everything (they even flew a drone up there which was kinda cool), and showed me the real damage. I was hoping for a small roof repair, but turns out the whole thing needed a roof replacement. Not ideal, but they explained it well and didn’t make it feel like I was getting scammed.

I’ve had roofing guys in the past who either no-showed or gave me some sketchy quote on a napkin — J&B was the total opposite. Straightforward, on time, and actually finished when they said they would. The crew cleaned up everything, too, which I lowkey didn’t expect.

So I normally wouldn’t leave a review like this, but wanted to give credit where it’s due. My roof was in rough shape after that storm rolled through Wilmette, and I figured I’d better look up roof repair near me before the leak got worse. That’s how I found J&B Home Renovations — and funny enough, one of the team members, Mary, actually helped manage the project. Super professional, knew her stuff, and really easy to talk to.

They inspected everything with a drone (which was a first for me lol) and showed me photos of the cracked and missing roof shingles. I was hoping for a quick roof repair, but the damage was more serious and a full roof replacement was the better call. Not cheap, but they didn’t try to sell me anything extra — just explained what was needed and why.

The crew was on time, respectful, and they kept my yard clean (huge plus). I’ve dealt with a few roofing companies near me before and honestly it’s always been a headache. This time it actually felt smooth. If you’re looking for a roofing contractor or roofing company, I’d recomend J&B for sure.
