With my experiences the tech guys claimed they needed parts, took off and never came back to finish the job(s). The last time they came to the home I had mandated reporters at my home to do some paperwork for a service for myself, they showed up inannounced without a call, the tech guy remarked well someone was supposed to notify you in a snarky way. claimed they needed some parts at a place that is literally 5-10 minutes from our house, ldft my house..1hour later i called back asking where the heck they were. the so called manager was so disrespectful to both me and my husband while speaking to them on the phone, claiming that my place was discusting etc which it was not perfectly clean but it was not discusting. im sure if it was the mandated reporters would have said something to me about it! So both me and my husband decided to take our business elsewhere! In addition to this they are very expensive with prices.

Joe the plumber is the best! He was polite, friendly, and explained things to me in a way I could understand, but without insulting my intelligence. Thank you Joe!!

The guy came, made a mess, left dirty rags and puddles , said that he cannot fix it and left. Later I received a bill for $190!!
I tried to reach a manager but it never happened , though the nice lady promised that he would call me back...Awful experience!

This place does not stand behind the work or the products. I had them install a new furnace in October 2020, and have subsequently had thousands of dollars of repairs needed. They always find some reason why it's not covered under warrantee. Every time there has been an issue I ask if there is anything else I need to have done to avoid future issues and they keep telling me I should be all set. When asking why this NEW furnace has never run for a full season without breaking down, they come up with a new excuse every time. They claim that it's because I let the tank run empty. My tank has never been allowed to run dry (except when there was a leak that they could have & should have noticed since they were working on the system every couple months)! They claim it's because my tank isn't painted white or silver, but when I paid them to install a new tank, it's also not white or silver. They can't get their stories straight & they do not stand behind their work. Less than a week after paying $2700 for a new tank to be installed, there is no heat, AGAIN. They send a tech and some of the parts are under warrantee this time, but NONE of the labor. Then they charge the credit card I have on file with them for nearly $450 WITHOUT TELLING ME. They have a virtual monopoly in the area and act like it. They are shady af.

Very high priced. And of course they don’t tell you the labor prices until after. Had two ac units cleaned, they found a bearing that could be replaced under warranty. Of course labor isn’t covered, they don’t say that until after you get billed. So over a thousand to clean them.

I have called on houles many times and will continue do so. But today,
I had to call to cancel a plumbing job. So, I cannot reschedule for the next few weeks. We ended the call and the “Receptionist” referred to me in derogatory terms/name as she was hanging up the phone on her end—her professionalism is overwhelming! She makes the business and her superiors should address her behavior!

Went there looking for an old kohler velvet valve.....no luck but the woman assisting me went above and beyond to get me some info I could use going forward....
Her effort was appreciated considering she didn't make a sale....

Broken water pipe. I called late on a Saturday night, no other plumbers answering calls at that time. Their answering service (a person, not a recording), connected me to their night man, Aaron, who first said he couldn't come since I wasn't a regular customer. However, he called me right back to tell me he couldn't let me go through the weekend, and that he would come up to Fairfield and do what he could. He made the repair and stopped the flood, with very quick work. Even though the cost was time and a half (after hours, no surprise), it was well worth it for the fast and effective emergency repair.

This place was recommended by the folks ar home depot. They were fast and precise as to help me get what i needed. Highly recommend.

I have used other plumbers in Waterville for my rental properties because they were cheaper than Houle's, but that was always a mistake. In the end, using Houle's would have been cheaper. They do their job and know what they are doing. They are reliable, trustworthy and dealing with their professional staff is a pleasure when you have had to deal with others who are working out of the back of their van.

I give 5 stars because Houle's is a great company and does quality work. However, their website says they close at 5:00 PM and when I called at 4:32 the answering service said they close at 4:00. I explained that the website says you close at 5:00. She siad yes we get that all the time. I'm glad I didnt drive an hour to get there. Please change your website as people often depend on the information to be correct. Thank you!

What a fantastic experience. Jim in the parts department was incredibly helpful in finding me the parts that I needed for my furnace. He was extremely accommodating and had the answers to all of my questions. Excellent customer service that you do not find very often. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

Houles Plumbing is exceptionally great. I was new in town and bought a home. After a long exhausting week, I came home to a leak and they sent someone right out and had the job done sooner than expected. They will get all of my business

Houle’s have been wonderful in taking care of our needs with heating, plumbing and air-conditioning since buying this home in 2016. Their have technician, Dan, is particularly wonderful! He has come to our rescue many times!

Very happy with our ductless A/C unit installed by Houle’s Plumbing 2 years ago. Service was professional, installation was quick and done with care. Highly recommend this company to all needing service. We would use them again.

First I want to say that the tech that came to my home was amazing, good quality work.

The issue is with the office staff, when the tech said to call the office to pay the bill, I jumped called spoke with deb, and said hi want to pay for my service on my furnace. She said sure how much? I was puzzled said um not sure I was told to call, she then began to say we dont know the prices, I told her I was told to call to pay inform of no other info from tech. It was like pulling teeth to ask for a call back where the office and te h could not provide a qoute to actual price, they told me about a bunch of loops but as a customer I want to make sure that I know what I'm paying for and if not call that customer.

The office needs an over haul and better process or be up front about billing.

Fantastic service, and great communication. If they make a mistake, which is rare, they own it and fix it. We've had them as our primary provider for up to 52 rental units in Waterville and Winslow since 2009. They are a bit higher priced than many 1-2 van outfits, but I truly believe they deliver $1.25 in value for every dollar they charge. That's what is important to us, and they deliver.

I called to have a foot valve replaced in a shallow well. I was told they charged $100.00 per hour including travel, I knew I was 1/2 hour away from the shop so it was $100.00 for them just to come. I explained the job, in detail was needed to be done. Go down a 20 ft. well 6 ft, cut a plastic pipe, take it out and replace with a new plastic pipe with a new foot valve, and then reattach. The actual work easily could have been done in 1 hour. I planned on 2 hours. I was called the morning of the appt and explained it all again. He told me he would bring another person with him to help. They came and did the job fine, I have no problem with the plumbers or the work. The work in the well was less then 30 minutes with some time putting the new pipe together and getting the ladder in the well.Then he gave me the Bill and said they were charging $500.00 for just the labor. When I called the Service manager I was told they needed to send 2 people because it was in a well and I was being charged $200.00 per hour for 2 plumbers. When I told him i was told it was $100.00 per hour and not told about the doubling of the price, he said Yes they should have told you, but there was no problem with the bill. It was very misleading and the Service Manager certainly did not care what happened. I would not recommend them.

I've taken care of my water pump for years and this time I just could not figure it out after hours of working on it and trying to re-pressurize it after an outage. It's working better than before!! We called this company about a hproblem with our hot water heater.The technician arrived at our house and then drove away.When he finally came back he said he twasn't sure if he had the right house .We pointed out that the number is on the mailbox but he still seemed confused.He checked out where the furnace was but never took it apart but only wrote down some numbers.He was here forty five minutes but we were charged for his travel time so it I was one hundred a forty four dollars.We didn't get a receipt but were told it would be mailed to us.We indicated we would be in touch to scheduled the work required.I have been with this company for years but was horrified by the way we were treated.

Very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. I had a roof top mounted AC stop working. I called them on a Sunday afternoon and within 2 hours of the call being made, the AC was back in and working better than ever.

Recently had a Mitsubishi Heat Pump/Cooling unit installed. The team showed up when they said they would, completed the work efficiently, and reasonably. They left no mess and were friendly and competent. We were very pleased and would recommend them.

They came on a Saturday morning and quickly restored heat to my house and at a fair price. My friend suggested I call them and I will recommend them to aanyonewho needs furnace help.

On time. My technician was friendly and explained what he was doing the whole time. Cleaned up well after and was speedy.

What a Joke, They said they had the part in stock,They didn't, So when the Tech came here, He had no parts for my tub faucet, My husband went to Oakland to get the parts that was needed,The the next day they send another Tech Who broke the our New faucet,Then my husband had to go back to Oakland to by a new faucet, After the Tech took a hour to figure out how to put it in, My Husband had to help the Tech to replace our Faucet, He told the tech to remover the spacer it wasn't needed.. So they Offered to pay for the Faucet BUT charged us 239.00 Not to mention That my husband had to go out of his way to get the right parts they needed! And Gas to.. Sad :(
