Holgerson Roofing

We had been looking for quotes for a new roof and weren’t having much luck. I volunteer at Aldermere and asked who there roofer was. They had workers there last Friday so I spoke to a man to see if we could arrange for a quote. He took my information and said Leroy would call. Monday morning Leroy called and was at the house a couple hours later. He and my husband walked the lot. He was right on about when it had been roofed along with some repairs. He was going to cone back with a ladder to check a spot. If it needs repair he’ll do it then. He believes we have another 20 years left on this roof. You can be sure we’ll call Holgerson when the time comes.

Seeing all the negative reviews, I thought I would pass on my experience with them. Holgerson installed a metal roof on my house, with attached garage, in August, 2016. I had mostly corresponded with them via email, and Leroy was good about responding. The installation was done in two days, and we haven't had a leak until this recent rain/wind storm (April 30/May 1, 2023) when I had a leak coming from around the chimney, where it had leaked before the metal roof. I emailed Leroy on May 1, and he responded at 5:38 am the next day saying they would be over that morning. They arrived around 9:30 and found that the leak was not the fault of the roof installation, but rather some vinyl trim that butted against some lead flashing. They caulked it and told me I should keep an eye on it every few years to make sure the caulk had not failed. I have yet to receive a bill (which I would gladly pay).

So, I have had nothing but a positive experience with Holgerson Roofing and I'd recommend to others.

We received an estimate in November 2017 with likelihood of work starting about May 2018. Called their office in June and each month thereafter, always receiving the same rote response that there is a delay. I stressed that we could not go through another winter with our roof. Always the same brief, mechanical response from the secretary and never, ever a call from the contractor. I sent them their estimate in September asking that they contact me with an estimated start date within 72 hours or I would accept another bid. Never heard from them. The secretary promised we would get our roof, and the company completely let us down. Deal with this contractor at your own (substantial) risk!
