I had issues with my roof and my mom recommended contractor Moises Martinez. Moises was very professional, responsive, knowledgeable, and patient as he explained the process on how to submit an insurance claim, things to keep in mind when replacing roof, etc. Moises was very thorough with answering any questions and always available. I got my roof replaced in a day and he showed me a before and after video. I am very satisfied with his service. I definitely recommend to homeowners.

My experience with Highlander was ok. Took them a few months to get my insurance to approved my claim but they did it. Moises too over after our firs guy bailed on us. Moises did and excellent job with communication and making sure things were completed correctly.

When State Farm refused to cover the damage to my roof, I was incredibly frustrated and felt like there was no way forward. Thankfully, I connected with Highlander Home Improvement and they assigned Moises Martinez to my claim. Moises's knowledge and persistence were truly remarkable. He expertly navigated the process and successfully got State Farm to pay for the necessary Roof replacement I am so thankful for both Highlander's intervention and Moises's exceptional work. I highly recommend them both to anyone facing challenging insurance claims.

Although it took a lot longer to begin the project than we were expecting (it took longer than they expected too, I think), once the project was underway, we were very happy. We received quotes from 4 different companies, both chains and independent. Highlander was 1/3 of the price, in comparison to some of the others. Their consultation was quick and efficient. Because their prices are so competitive, they do not have as many options as some others, but we got the Hardie Board (composite) siding that we wanted.
Using a local company made the experience so much better and cheaper! Highly recommend.

I can’t say enough about my experience with Highlander Home Improvements recently who replaced my deck.

From the estimating process, range of composite options, pricing, timeline, quality of work and final results I wish I could give more than 5 stars. From their showroom where you actually see what you are selecting, to the actual craftsmanship and attention to details our project was completed with good, professional hands.

This will sound funny, however I’ve been in my house for many years which comes with a lot of experience with contractors. In some of those experiences, we typically find ourselves with a lot of post project “clean up”, garbage, nails, packing debris….not with Highlander! From beginning to end they managed the entire project right down to keeping us informed of the process and clean up!

I had Raphael do the roof and gutters on my house, my neighbors were impressed at how fast they were I was impressed at the quality of work and how clean they left everything. Raphael walked me through the entire process and handled the insurance end too definitely recommended them

Let me start of by saying that we moved into Bloomingdale about 4yrs ago, with such a beautiful neighborhood we knew this is the place where we want our children to grow up, so right after we purchased the property, we gutted the entire house to start from scratch to make it our own (this is our 2nd house we did this to FYI so we had plenty of experience dealing with contractors) took us over 1yr to complete the project from start to finish with over 20+ village inspections. We had no room for error, we dealt with a lot of professionals and we met a lot of good people along the way but unfortunately, we also met A LOT of bad sketchy contractors/scammers I call them! Well, the only thing that we haven’t touched on this home was the roof, so just in these past few months we decided to finally do it before the cold weather hit and let me tell you this wasn’t easy either to find the ONE contractor we both trust and feel comfortable with. Especially when it comes to replacing the entire roof over our brand new home, we trust no one anymore after dealing with so many horrible contractors. We started doing our research and we started looking around the neighborhood and we saw Highlander home improvement signs all over Bloomingdale so we decided to give them a call. That’s how we found Rafal and his team @“Highlander Improvement company” and let me tell you this was a blessing! The entire team is great but the owner Rafal is an honest businessman and extremely knowledgeable and professional, he was extremely helpful thru out the whole process, he made sure everything goes as planned and leaves no room for error! His roofing crew did an outstanding job, they were very respectful of our property, covered everything, made special arrangements to protect our trees and shrubs, cleaned everything up before they left not even leaving a nail behind. We were very happy that we hired “Highlander Improvement company” to replace our entire roof, we will highly recommend them! Our house looks amazing! Highlander Improvement did a couple of outdoor projects for me (deck and siding). They are very professional, extremely precise and never leave a job "half-finished". I always recommend them and will definitely use them again.

My family has used Highland Company since 2018 with various home improvement projects at two homes (roof, siding, recessed lighting, plumbing, and deck work), and they quality of work has been impressive each time without re-work needed to be done. Rafal and Co. are always prompt and very detail in their explanation to make sure you understand the work and time needed to complete the project. I can honestly say our home value has gone up dramatically due in part of the fantastic home improvement work by HIGHLANDER!!

They were very efficient and helpful getting our insurance to cover replacement costs of or our roof, siding and gutters due to storm damage. The work they did looks great, however, that is where it ends. They do not have an A rating with the BBB. Some of the roof sheeting should have been replaced as it was weak and spongy, but I was given the run around. Their contractors didn’t seem to care about the materials that were purchased through the insurance claim as they tried to throw out two full boxes of siding, among other supplies. Tried to have them return to chalk around some of the windows, they never arrived. I did it with chalk they were going to throw out. The final inspection by them took about 5 minutes and definitely was not thorough. Still waiting for all the warranty paperwork after almost two years, haven’t heard a word. They don’t return calls. The siding was replaced, looks good, but the contractor forgot to replace the grounding wire for cable and electric. A major electrical storm took out almost $1500.00 in components. Maybe that’s why I don’t hear back as I requested reimbursement for their error.

We needed a very urgent and complicated project done at home and Highlander Improvement completed our home project beyond our expectations for quality and time wise and not to mention on extremely reasonable prices!

Crossing at Bloomingdale Owners Association (CBOA) hired Highlander to install new siding, downspouts and gutters on 11 townhouse buildings. We believe they did great job. this company is AMAZING.They did exactly what they said they will within the time frame specified which is almost nonexistent these days. He took care of literally everything from start to finish and got us brand new roofs on both of our properties. Never called with issues but resolved them and always underpromised and overdelivered. What a refreshing experience dealing with a company that is at the top of their game. Professional, efficient, friendly and to the point. I was having my roof replaced due to some hail damage, but seeing how this company operates I also decided to change my facia, soffits and threw in some led lights. It wasn't a problem for them to accommodate these last minute addons and arrange for the extra work to be done quickly without delaying the project or inconveniencing us. The end result blew us away. It totally changed the curb appeal of our house.

We had an sustained roof damage and associated insurance claim that wasn’t going anywhere as the insurance didn’t want to approve it. we worked with couple of contractors but nobody was able to resolve our insurance claim issue until we met with Highlander Improvement. We used Highlander after a hailstorm damaged our roof and siding. Rafal assured us throughout the entire process that he would handle everything with the insurance company and that it would not cost anything out of pocket. He was 100% right, he handled everything for us. The only time we ever spoke to our insurance company was just scheduling the inspection. Once we chose our new roof and siding, Rafal said they could probably start that weekend and the whole house was done within a week. The quality of the work is exceptional, and Rafal explained every part of the process with us and constantly stayed in contact with us. 100% Recommend using Highlander

The folks at Highlander were very efficient at helping us get our roof replacement approved by insurance. Zero out of packet, which was great. The job got done quickly and looks great. Unfortunately that was the end of the positive experience. Within a few days of the completion I was walking on the side of our house and stepped on a roofing nail which required a tetanus shot for me and several days Off my feet. They came out and Swept for nails with a magnet. They paid my co-pay for the office visit and gave me a $50 gift card for my inconvenience. Within a month I called and noted that one of the vent pipes on the roof hadn’t had the roof flange installed properly. Its up on the pipe, not against the roof, potentially causing water/snow damage. They assured me theY’d be out to fix it in a few days. No one showed up. I called again and sent pictures of the issue. They assured me they’d come out to fix it. It only takes a few minutes. No one showed up. I called again, same results. Then came winter without it being fixed. At the start of spring 2020 I called again. With covid they wont come out. She assured me as soon as they can they’ll come out. I saw a Highlander truck doing a roofing job in my area so I know they’re back in operation. No call. No nothing. My point for this post is - Highlander is great at making the deal and pushing it through. They’re good and roofing. They’re not great at clean up. They’re terrible at service. We bought the lifetime shingles and have the lifetime service warranty but I can’t get them to honor that warranty. I am now left with contacting another company to install the flange correctly even though I have a lifetime service warranty through Highlander. If you want a roof replaced for cheap, call them. If you want a company with good warranty service you should consider calling someone else.

Great company. I had small roof flashing repair which lot companies declined because "job is too small". I called Highlander Improvement and they fixed same day and its done very professionally. Highly recommend them. They are not fussy, they just do it.
