Kyle and his team did amazing on building our back deck this past summer! From discussing our options and designs to the finished project. They were awesome on communicating with us on their progress or if any issues came up. We are in love with our new back deck and is exactly what we wanted. Superb quality!

So many good things to say but I am super happy we got our deck & balcony! Every project has its twists and turns and bumps but like a skilled Alaska bush pilot, our crew navigated us through the project beautifully! These guys do excellent work. Kyle and his team are on time, professional, fun and easy to be around and turn out a stunning product! They are meticulous workers and the turnaround time on the job is mind-blowing. At our property, they completed two large decks from the ground up and a front porch [which they had to dismantle and rebuild] in four days! The quality of the work did not suffer. It is beautiful and certainly adds to the overall aesthetics of the property and home.
Amazing! Phenomenal! Awe-inspiring! We found the cost of the overall project to be surprising as we had priced cedar decking and found it comparable to the highest end trex decking which was NOT what we were expecting. Kyle was more than willing to explain things when I, in particular, did not understand something and was helpful in choosing colors to compliment our existing scheme. We reached out to Kyle on a house remodel project that was under a tight timeframe. He came out, talked through the job, pointed out spots where we could save time and money, and had some great suggestions. We have an older house, which has some peculiar nooks and crannies, and he was great to think through ideas about how we could make what we wanted to happen work with what we had. We needed new windows, reconfiguration of the laundry and closets, and a new countertop in the kitchen. He got a quote together, was able to get started early (I have never had a contractor be able to start sooner than they hoped), and got everything done in the timeframe promised. A++ contractor, reasonable on cost, and was great to work with!

My husband and I started reaching out to deck builders in the valley in fall 2020. Kyle from Highland was quick to respond and come out to our house to go over our vision. He promptly returned a quote, and we picked out colors and types from the physical samples that he brought.

Kyle and his team were quick, friendly, and efficient workers throughout the whole process. Workers started on time each day, and worked quickly but thoroughly each day. Kyle was excellent with communication, which was especially important to us as we both work rotational schedules away from home. We got updates after each work day, and Kyle was very clear about the plan for the next day. Aside from final touches, it was completed ahead of schedule which we were thrilled about! We had to return to work, but Kyle and his team made sure to come back after the final touches to give the deck a wash down.

For our design, Kyle pretty much nailed what we had in mind. We are happy that we went with him to demo our current deck as well, as opposed to adding onto our previous deck. Kyle is very flexible with designs, and it seems like the sky is the limit. We went with a simple design, focusing more on square feet than features. We did get black aluminum railings on the sides, steps on all three sides, and step lighting as well. A nice feature that Kyle and his team worked around was a water spigot (see photo).

All in all, Highland Construction produced premium work, and we are happy to recommend them to anyone needing deck work in the valley.

Best contractor I have worked with in 30 years of homeownership. They deliver what they promise, are prompt, professional, courteous and responsive, they did a great job for us. We could not be happier - highly recommend.

I hired Highland Construction to remove an old, rotting wood porch that trapped blowing snow and was hard to shovel and replace it with a simpler Trex one (much easier to shovel!). They were very responsive and professional, and got the small job done in one day. Although I choked on the overall price (probably me just being unaware of what typical construction costs are these days), they gave me the more expensive Trex material at the treated wood price, as they had it in stock and wanted to move it out of inventory. It also matched my house color, so everyone was happy with a job well done.

The deck was beautifully done to exacting specifications. The contractor came in under time and under budget even though the COVID effects caused an unanticipated supply problem. He found work-arounds for any supply problem and never increased our cost. First Class job with reliable professionals.

Highland Construction did a fabulous privacy fence for our business in an incredibly timely and professional way. They took care of locates, kept a clean job site, and gave us a finished product we all love. I would definitely use them again for another project!

I would recommend Kyle & Highland Construction 100%! We lost our deck in the earthquake and Kyle stopped by right away. His estimate was more than reasonable. Kyle & his crew were able to remove the old deck and replace it will one that will withstand many more earthquakes!

I love the way my new back porch and deck look and it "dresses up" the house which I think was lacking. I'm sure the trek product will last a long time which will save money on the long run. It wasn't an easy build because not only was it a big deck but he needed to build around a hot tub and certain details needed to be done for safety purposes and Kyle handled it like the true professional he is.
