Jimmy and the company have been constantly editing their responses, which clearly shows a lack of honesty and integrity. I have attached photos of their first, second, and now third review to provide proof. I’m unsure what else they would falsify just to avoid their commitments to others. It is clear that they are consistently lying and taking advantage of people, especially those who are in need and less fortunate. To all people, please do your research. There are far more deserving and trustworthy companies to work with rather than risking your time, money, and efforts on people like this. May this serve as a guide to help others avoid similar experiences.

JUST AN UPDATE ABOUT THIS REVIEW: JIMMY AND THE COMPANY DID NOT CONTACT ME IN ANYWAY OR RESOLVE THE ISSUE. Also, I uploaded more evidence that proves my claim that Jimmy hired me directly.

I deeply regret having to write this, but my experience with Herts Roofing Company and Jimmy has been nothing short of disheartening. Jimmy hired me directly and worked diligently, believing I was part of a professional team that values its workers. However, I am now left unpaid despite all my efforts and patience.

I submitted my invoice on December 15, 2024, understanding that it was a busy holiday season. I didn’t even bill for the days following that, as Jimmy abruptly removed all my access without any explanation or notice. Since then, I have repeatedly followed up with him about my payment, only to receive excuses and further delays. Most recently, Jimmy claimed he is no longer associated with Herts Roofing Company, but I have no way to verify if that is even true.

What’s more troubling is hearing from his previous colleagues, who shared similar stories of deceit and non-payment. They described Jimmy as dishonest and greedy, which ultimately drove them to leave the company.

It’s hard to believe that someone could take advantage of another person in this way. This behavior is not just unprofessional—it’s inhumane. People like Jimmy should not have the privilege of managing others’ livelihoods. I hope this review serves as a warning to anyone considering working with him or Herts Roofing Company.

To Jimmy and anyone else involved: Please do what is right. Pay what you owe. No one deserves to be treated this way, especially after giving their time, effort, and trust.

Jimmy was the consummate professional. He is knowledgeable, thoughtful, understanding, and he goes above and beyond to explain everything clearly. Also, he was kind to my dog - a sure endorsement there! I had been without hot water for almost two weeks. Jimmy made sure everything was working before he left. Jimmy brings the highest level of customer service! Thank you, Jimmy!

called Hertz Roofing and Construction after a quick Google search, they arrive in less that 1 hour, their agents were very friendly and professional, they used small drone to inspect the damage and take pictures. After inspecting the danage we discussed the next steps, they put a temporary fix on the roof, they patiently waited as I put an insurance claim and worked with the insurance company to get the claim verified the entire process took 2 weeks. Once the claim was approved the roof was fixed few days later , they also worked with us on the deductible payment we paid it over a few months, Overall the entire process was easy and professional, very happy with the results, I will use Hertz Roofing and Construction to fix all my roof problems.

Grant and his team did a great job on our yard. Grant understood exactly what we were looking for and really came through. They extended our patio and matched up the pattern perfectly, and then sealed the whole patio. They also did other work we needed done such as removing cement stumps that were in the ground from an old fence, removed debris and wood chips to prep for planting grass. They were there when they said they would be, which is always a plus. We are very happy with the work they did and would highly recommend Grant & his team. Now we can enjoy our summer in our renovated backyard.

Replacing a roof is no small feat. For me, I wanted to make sure the work would be done properly, efficiently and for a good price. I stumbled across Herts on a Facebook page and decided to give them a shot. I must say I have been impressed with them since the quote process. I love their use of technology. Had a great experience with Herts! Jimmy and his team got the work quoted, scheduled, and completed promptly with great communication throughout. They replaced the roof on my home and shed, as well as replaced interior ceiling for one area. They coordinated closely with me on timing to ensure the required amount removal/re-install of my solar panels, to enable the work. The final product came out beautifully; the team’s clean-up was immaculate, and Jimmy performed a very thorough inspection of the work on the back-end. Very happy with the work that Herts did, and would strongly recommend!

I got a beginning to end roof replacement with Herts roofing. I had serious hail/wind damage that needed immediate attention. From the rain there was water coming into my house through my living room ceiling before the replacement, I called Herts and the came out the next day to temporarily fix the issue until the replacement. I was in constant contact with them, and guided through the process of the project. Not too soon after, the entire crew came bright and early to start the revamp on the roof, I stepped out for a few hours and came back and everything was installed and cleaned up like they were never even here. My roof is absolutely beautiful, no more leaks, no more issues. I highly recommend Herts for any replacement and restoration job! Thank you guys!

My roof started leaking during heavy rain, I called Herts. Jimmy showed up within an hour and did an inspection of my roof. They provided three options and were able to start the work within 2 days. Jimmy has been very communicative throughout the process and they also provided good warranty. I am yet to receive all the documents but the experience so far has been pretty good.

I contacted Jimmy of Herts Roofing for an assessment of my roof and a free estimate which they offer to all customers.. After our meeting, we agreed that a whole roof replacement was needed.. Jimmy explained the process throughly, he contacted the insurance company to see what the options were and gave a time frame of when the job would be started and when the expected completion date would be. The professionalism displayed by Jimmy and his team was superb. The roof was torn off and replaced. All debris was collected and the property was left clean without any trace loose materials lingering around. I would recommend his roofing services to anyone in the tri state area thats in need for any service he offers. 10/10

I needed a new roof as my roof was very old and damaged. I contacted Herts Contruction. They scheduled an appointment promptly as I was concerned about rain. Jimmy came and performed a very thorough inspection of the roof. He also very patiently explained the process going through my property insurance. Our roof started leaking last month and required to be totally replaced. We got quotes from several contractors, but ultimately decided to work with Herts because they were very professional and offered competitive pricing. Overall, we felt like we were in good hands with Herts. Jimmy was crucial in our decision making. We would recommend this company to all our family and friends for their roofing needs.

Herts Roofing took care of my storm damaged roof from day one, with the initial inspection through working with me on getting all the paper work done (i.e. HOA documents etc.). I didn't have to do much once I let Jim and Elcie take over. The process was to get all the background work done was intense and they didn't even show how much effort they were putting in - that's good service! The day of the roof, they made sure I knew the materials were coming, had the roofers take care of everything, and even cleaned and checked for nails later. I really felt like I was in good hands and comforted to know my roof was done with the latest material before the next storm.

Their quote was very competitive and they explained the pros and cons of both the quick fix and the full service option. We had a water leakage stain during the inspection and Jimmy came another day pretty quick. He checked everything inside of the attic and outside of the roof and checked drip edge. He was very thoughtful and tell us not to worry about it too much since that is probably a pretty old stein, he asked me to monitor it and if we found something new in a windy rainy day, come to him again.

Herts Roofing is amazing. They did a great job installing our roof, in our case this was an insurance claim due to wind damage. Herts took care of working with the insurance company on our claim, and in the end our roof only cost us our insurance deductible. They did a fantastic job on the roof and installed it very quickly. Six months later we had a leak in our kitchen during a serious storm. I called Herts and they were at my house within two hours to check it out. It turns out that the cause of the leak had nothing to do with the new roof but rather with our siding. Even though it wasn't an their issue, they still took care of fixing it for us. That's what kind of company they are.

She was very proactive and responsive throughout the entire process start to finish and provided me with clear guidance as well. I worked with Herts and my home insurance company to have my roof replaced due to storm damage. The insurance company had asked for certain tests to be performed which Herts was able to help me with. I highly recommend this company to others who have roof damage and/or need a roof replacement.

My neighbor had a new roof installed last year and, in speaking with him a month ago, I asked him, "how do you like your new roof"?. He told me that he used Herts Construction and that they inspected his roof and assessed it as being wind damaged. I had no idea there was anything wrong with my roof, but I figured if the neighbor who lives across the street had wind damage , then I might have it as well. I called Herts for a free roof inspection. They said I DID have wind damage and I should file a claim with my insurance company.
Project Manager Jennifer and the Herts roof inspector Jimmy (Jimmy is also an independent insurance adjuster who talks the insurance company's language) told me that one of them will be on site when the insurance company roof inspection is done, to insure that all damage is found and documented. They are both excellent at what they do. Sure enough, the insurance company's roof inspector, with Jennifer's help, found significant wind damage and approved my roof replacement.

When a piece of siding blew off my house in a windstorm, I wasn’t sure who to call, since it was a “small” job, but the piece was up near the roofline where I couldn’t reach it, even with my ladder. After hurricane Ida I had a lot of leaks and interior damage. I called my homeowners insurance and they came and only paid for 25 shingles and for some internal work. My neighbor happened to be getting his roof done and told me he was working with Herts Construction and they helped him get his whole roof replaced from the storm. I met Jennifer and she explained what happened to me and how we can still hold State Farm accountable for my roof. She reopened my case and had me work with Jimmy who made State Farm come back out and they reversed the claim and approved me for a new roof. they originally gave me 2k for the roof then turned around and approved over 12k. It was unbelievable. Thank you so much Herts team for doing this for me right before the holidays and what a gift it was. Definitely use them.

I cannot say enough good things about Herts Construction and Storm Restoration. I shopped around before to a few different companies and they looked at our roof and said we needed to file with our insurance company to get an all new roof, even though it is a quality roof. However when Herts Construction came to look at it they gave me such an honest response . They said i need to redo the flat part of the roof because they see damage in certain areas. They showed me all the pictures of what was going on up there on the spot. The price was affordable and they were very responsive and put me on the schedule asap. It's rare that I would say I would recommend a company to my friends and family and feel confident they would be taken care of, but that is exactly the case here.

After a recent rainstorm, we found roof shingles scattered on our lawn. Concerned about the extent of damage, we contacted Herts. Their technician, Jimmy, came out within a couple of days, surveyed the damage and provided photos and an estimate for repair. He reassured us the damage was not extensive and we found the repair estimate quite reasonable. We received a date for the repair to be done, were contacted in advance and given a narrow time window, Jimmy showed up right on time and the repair was completed efficiently and quickly, with new photos provided. We are very satisfied.
