Gutter Magician

Do not sign a contract with this company. They are a bait and switch. They will spend 5 hours at your home, power point presentation, mind games, all the get you to sign with them. Do not do it. Go with another company. You will be very glad you did. You have been warned.

I had part of my gutter come off the house after the heavy snow we had. I called Gutter Magicians and they sent Ron out. Ron did a great job! He was by himself working in the cold and there was still some snow on the roof. Ron had to loosen the entire gutter to reattach it and then realigned the entire gutter. Again, Ron did a Great job and I would 100% recommend Gutter Magicians for all gutter needs.

Good work ain't cheap and cheap work ain't good, are they the cheapest? No are they the best, yes! Have had for a few years now had one issue, the owner came out within 1 day and made sure all was good. Great service and quality product

Our gutters look and function very well. We have had several hard rains since installation in July and all rain is being directed properly toward downspouts. No more leaking or overflowing. Job well done and good product!

Our gutters and downspouts are about 20 years old. Downspouts were the major issue with damage to them. Improper drainage needed to be addressed. We looked at several companies and products and decided that this company provided the best product. The gutter protector was the best design we saw and was very well made. This was important because we recently had birds building nests IN THE GUTTERS, which caused the downspout to clog and overflow. Apparently, this area has been invaded by a species that nest in gutters and vents causing a lot of damage. The new system is larger made of better quality than the original material. We are confident that all of the issues have been solved.

We bought this product 7 or 8 years ago from the dealer in Louisville, KY. We live in southern Indiana. The sales process was high-pressure as documented by others here. At one point the rep got the owner on speaker phone when we said it was too expensive. It sounded like a recording that said they'd gone as low as they could. Ultimately, I signed the contract. The product is sturdily built and we have had good experience with it with a couple of exceptions. In one corner where there is a valley in the roof, water was overshooting the gutter. A tech added a vertical metal piece to direct the water into the gutter. That worked pretty well for a time. T he valley also collects a lot of debris from a neighbor's lare maple tree during the fall. The metal piece allowed debris to build up and prevent rain water from entering the gutter. The remedy was for a tech to drill a few ¾" holes in the cover of the gutter to let water get into the gutter more easily. Unfortunately, this also allowed some debris build-up inside the gutter which ultimately blocked it. The tech came back and drilled another hole. I ended up taking apart a section of gutter to clean it out. This was complicated and very time-consuming. A new problem occurred couple years ago when some 15-foot high landscape trees near an outside corner of the roof gained mature height. House sparrows began nesting there and building nests inside the gutter. They are small enough to easily get inside. I have climbed up and removed some of that debris with difficulty. I've looked for a forceps-like tool that would fit without success. The Louisville dealer has since disappeared and there is one remaining dealer in northern Kentucky near Cincinnati whom I contacted for advice. I got no response. The sparrows have been returning each year to build nests in the same spot and are doing so again as I write this. I again tried to reach the northern KY dealer with no response. Because we hadn't had much heavy rain I put pieces of Irish Spring soap inside the length of affected gutter as a repellent. I had had good success with this with a mouse problem and read that it would work with birds, as well. But, apparently not. I've hung aluminum pie pans in the trees as a deterrent but the sparrows are aggressive and persistent. I wouldn't recommend this product. I expect there are other which are much less expensive and less trouble. If someone can suggest a fix that has worked for them, I would certainly appreciate it.

The Gutter Magician gutter system has been on my house for more than 15 years now and still does exactly what it’s supposed to do. It’s pretty nice not having to worry about cleaning them out since they haven’t clogged once. They do a great job catching all the water too, I never see any leaking or over flowing even during a heavy rain! Not to mention, they look great! I would recommend this gutter system to anyone!

From start to finish, the secretaries, sales team, installation team, and owner were professional, courteous, and made the entire process extremely easy. I was completely in the dark prior to , and the sales man was the most knowledgeable out of every estimate I had received. The price I was quoted was actually under most other companies, and after actually seeing the system in action, the quality is incomparable. thank you Gutter Magician.

Gutter Magician is very responsive and are very passionate about their products and the services they offer. Adam and Doug were great to work with. The service men did a great job of cleaning up after the work was complete. I really like the quality of their materials and the fact that they are made in the USA and that the gutters are made onsite the day of the job.

UPDATE:
In the owner's response he say's "Not sure why the customer only wanted to do 2 of the 5 gutter runs". I too am not sure why anyone would say fix some of the areas the birds are getting into the soffit but not all of the areas the birds are getting into the soffit. The contract said both sides of the house, however I found out that did not include that side of the porch roof, even though the gutters were replaced on that side of the porch roof. He kept speculating that we wanted a half-done job to save money which was entirely untrue. If we wanted to save money, we would have gone with literally any other gutter company out there.

This is the most expensive gutter company out there. The sales person will tell you that. We spent 8k for gutter and soffit repairs for a small Cape Cod. We did it because we are older and needed a reliable company. They only addressed part of the soffit problems we had. When I called about the problem with the birds getting into the soffits this was the reply “It’s as simple as this. If you want us to install those other parts of the house we can. But we are not coming out to do free work for you or service areas of your house because of wild life problems that has nothing to do with the scope of the work that we performed. I honestly can’t believe this is even a conversation or you are being remotely serious”

This review should be carefully considered before signing a contract with Gutter Magician. Since 2013, I, a Louisville resident, have enjoyed the strength and durability of seamless gutter guard protection from Gutter Magician on my home and garage until a recent golf ball size hailstorm struck in May 2023. I did have 82 feet of dented gutter guards and one six foot horizontal downspout with a fist size dent that needed to be included in an insurance claim for damages on my home and garage. I have contacted Gutter Magician at least five times over five months to receive assistance and even petitioned the corporate office with an online request giving all the details of the claim number, Insurance company representative to contact, and get this--only asking them to provide the current price quote of replacing 82 feet of seamless gutter guards and one 6 foot horizontal down spout. I did NOT ask them to come to Louisville to replace anything--only needed a price quote given to the insurance company. The Gutter Magician Corporate Office guarantees customer loyalty and a lifetime warranty on their guttering products. Five months of petitioning have passed with not one company response. This has been a nightmare trying to have Gutter Magician cooperate with my insurance company to price quote the full cost of full seamless gutter replacement when it only takes five minutes of their time to respond by email giving the claim number and insurance company email address I provided. On top of that, I found out that when a company moves from Louisville to Erlanger, your lifetime product warranty no longer applies. My insurance company will only pay for the gutter guard--not the whole seamless gutter with guard until Gutter Magician submits a statement that it is a seamless gutter with guard all in one piece and the current replacement cost provided. Please, please don't be fooled with the customer loyalty gimmick to sucker you in as I was. Doesn't this make you wonder why they moved to Erlanger?

Gutter Magician was used by a neighbor across the road. They spent a half a day at their house, just for estimate. They continue to call my cell phone on numerous occasions. I don't even like these people so it's not like they gave them my number. I tried to be polite at first but now I know for a fact, I would NEVER use their services. One guy did most of the work while the driver sat in the van & smoked!

Set up a quote for them to price gutters, knowing what product I want. They would not come out without insisting they came into our home. When I told the representative over the phone that I know the product I want and that they don't need to do come inside to do a sales pitch, she said "We are not going to come out and run a wheel and give you a quote".

Sounds to me like they are not interested to sell gutters, but rather come into your home. To install gutters, or sell gutters, there should be no reason to have to enter someone's house. Very odd.

I had my roof and gutters replaced by Gutter Magician, and my house looks spectacular!! They did a wonderful job.

Gutter Magician did a great job installing my new gutter system and downspouts. The crew did an amazing job. They were friendly and professional. The gutters and downspouts look awesome. Had a young man from Gutter Magician come out for an estimate. He told us he was higher up in the company and only came out because things were slow. He said he wanted to make us the best deal he could so the employees that worked for the company wouldn't be laid off.
His estimate started at $6400 and turned quickly to between $3000 and $4000 when we declined his offer. I called Rupp Gutters in Ohio
and got the job done for $1600 without any sales pitch or nonsense for $4800 less.
The magic was I kept alot of my money.

We used the gutter magician to install all new clog free gutters on our home. It was by far one if the BEST decisions we've made! The were here on time, they were friendly, clean and fast. We've not had one problem with the gutters and having these have taken a workload off of my husband & worry off of me!

They replaced all of my gutters and they look amazing. They were very quick to respond when I had questions and had a person out to get a quote the next day! Their team showed up and got everything done in 2hours. Definitely would recommend to anyone in the area.

They replaced my gutters on a newly purchased home. They were on time and cleaned up after themselves. The workers answered any questions I had. When there was a problem that came up on my newly installed roof, they helped me to get the roofer to respond to me. Even though they didn't have anything to do with the roof, they were willing to help their customers out any way they can. This shows great character and meant a lot to us. It has rained a few times, but I can hardly wait for the next downpour. LOL.

I called the gutter magician for an estimate for new gutters. They came out right away and gave me quote. They we’re able to work with our budget which was great. They were always on time with when they would be there, and they did a good job of keeping the work area neat and tidy. I would recommend this business for your gutter needs. I upgraded to bigger gutters and an extra downspout which solved all of my previous problems with the old gutters.

Gutter Magician installed gutters and added siding to our dormitories, recently. Steven and Jessie, did a great job in a timely manner. I had a few minor concerns and they came out and took care of them. The gutters and siding look wonderful. After looking at several companies and reviews, I chose this company.Just so happened a neighbor had Gutter Magician install their new gutters about two years ago and they were completley satisified. It is reassuring to know that they have a warranty behind their workmanship as well.

Very professional and polite. Came out to give the estimate was friendly and worked within our budget. Installer was professional and did not leave a mess. If you need gutters installed, this is the company to use.

Had some issues from the office and some issues on their end with financing . All in all I love my gutters. May even hire the install my new roof.

Our neighbors recently had Gutter Magician install gutters on their house and we liked the way they looked, so we called to schedule an estimate. It was a little odd that they wanted both my wife and I to be present for the estimate as I was working until 6pm, but Brandon agreed to come out at 6:30pm and provided an extremely thorough (if not overkill), methodical approach to the estimate and sales pitch. He was very cordial, answered all of our questions, and despite our hesitation to commit since he was the first estimate we had gotten, he persisted. He even went to the lengths of showing us how the system works with samples, videos, pictures, and talk through differences from other systems. We can also see the finished product on our neighbor's house and had talked w/ them about it which is why we called Gutter Magician in the first place.

Some of the reviews I have read say the sales person was pushy or aggressive, but coming from someone who has worked in sales myself, I think Brandon walked the fine line pretty well between being persistent and ready to overcome objections, but not pressuring us. Although I wasn't enthusiastic about spending 4 1/2 hours on getting a single quote for gutters (4 hrs longer than I would have thought), he spoke with the company owner and ultimately they were able to accommodate our budget.

The installation got pushed back several times, but they were good about communicating the reschedules. The new gutters were installed 6/2/20 by their father/son installation team, who showed up on time and did a good job, completed it in 1/2 a day, and walked around the house with me after to inspect the work and talk through what was done. They did a pretty good job cleaning up as I only found a few nails in the yard.

Overall, I am very pleased with the Gutter Magician company and the final product. I am confident that they were installed and pitched correctly and will do their job so that I don't have to think about gutters again, let alone get up on my roof to clean them. As of today 6/9/20, it has only rained lightly once, so the good quality recommendation speaks to the build quality of the gutters. Whether or not I spend any more moments of my life thinking about and writing about gutters will depend on how well they do their job in the coming months and years!

-Promised they don't send subcontractors. They did.
-They changed the installation plan without notifying the owner. Their new method damaged the drip edge and trim pieces. Then, they charged an additional amount of money for the time the subcontractors spent damaging our new roof because they were unfamiliar with how to install the gutter on our roof. To this day, they refuse to refund even that extra fee.
-Promised no need to get on a ladder again. We routinely have to get on the ladder to clean out the corners.

-see photo of gutter dysfunction. Now water leaks into the basement where this water falls next to the foundation.
-There is also a location where water gets behind the gutter.
-got no resolution with CODE 99 nor did they stand behind their 100% satisfaction, money back gaurantee.
-Owner was rude, disrespectful, and 100% unhelpful

Gutter magician provided us a very high quality gutter system that was compatible with the rush of runoff that we have with our metal roof. The salesman Chet was wonderful and he, along with the owner, worked with us on meeting our budget requirements. They were on time, polite to our tenants and a pleasure to work with. Gutter Magician made the whole process painless and I would recommend them to anyone in need of gutters!!!!

No doubt in my mind these gutters are the best out there. They are a little on the expensive side but are worth it. The owner and I started off on the wrong foot due to lack of knowledge on my part, and lack of communication on his part. Putting that aside this is a great quality product and the service technicians are professional and friendly. Service tech Ron is extremely professional and friendly. I would and have referred people I know to at least consider Gutter Magicians. I stuck with Gutter Magician and the quality of the product speaks for itself. So I give the product itself a 5 Star rating and the services techs a 4 Star rating. I have been in customer service for over 25 yrs, and it's very hard for me to not take that in consideration so I would give the owner a 2 Star rating. Everyone has an off day and I am extremely pleased with the functionality and looks of the gutters.
I waited to post this review due to I wanted to be able to truly rate the product.

I had a lot of gutters to be replaced. It required replacing all of the soffits and repairing the facia. The father/son team that did the work were timely and did a great job, explaining what they needed to do to make the system work. It took about seven days to complete.
Some of the aluminum had some small flecks of missing paint and they had supplier replace all of it before the install. We are very pleased with the installation.
It looks great and works great .
The day after the installation was complete we had a stromg storm and they performed flawlessly.

Save yourself some time and hire a different company. These people make appointment come out and WASTE 3 hours of your day. They talk to you like your in kindergarten to educate you about gutters in general. Then they down talk other gutter comparing the area and show you pictures and videos of their supposed bad installations. Then 2 1/2 to 3 hours later they go out sit in their car for 30 minutes. Then come back in and show me a Quote for $9,000.00. LMAO. Had a local independent company do the job today. Done in a half day. Professional, Quality, and not even remotely close to $9000.00 these goof balls quoted. ( and 25yr warranty). Save yourself a waste of time. Contact me and I’ll let you know what company I used.

Pretty awesome guys, really friendly to talk to and work with. Their sales rep was honest and explained thoroughly their product and service as well as their price point. The installer was down to earth and was honest about the job, timely, and efficient. The install job looked nice and flush with my roof. Only one problem arose with part of my roof not being level, which Doug (the owner) gave me contact to James Elliot’s roofing service to get fixed.
Overall it was a pleasant experience with their people, their price point was fair in relation to the investment of the longevity of my home.

I am the sole homeowner of my house and they wouldn't do the free quote that they scheduled the day before because my fiance wasn't there. I'm not sure if the reasoning is because they want to make sure they have more than one person to pressure sell, or that they don't trust the relationships of their customers. However, I find it ridiculous that they wouldn't give me the free quote as the sole homeowner. Trust me, I'll speak to the people in my life about it, I don't need you to. They were kind enough about it, but this policy makes zero sense and definitely rubs me the wrong way.

service was very manageable they clean up there mess ask me if I was please look very good on the house. April in the office was very helpful.. to me in getting my opinion on line ,she had a lot of patience with me. That made me feel so good. Price was good for the quality and service I received. Similar experience as review from Cindy Hart. Salesman who went by AJ came to the door. Told him I was not interested. He made some remark as he left then proceeded to cut through my yard , I told him not to walk thru my yard but to use the sidewalk. Had to call him 3 times to get his attention. He had nerve to stand in the middle of my yard and say he was not in my yard. Then made several insulting remarks as he came back and took the sidewalk. When he got past my property he just left the sidewalk and cut right thru my neighbors yard. Now I'm sure guttermagic owner or manager is going to reply to this denying that this but believe me this is the kind of people they have representing them

Gutter Magician came to our home to give an estimate on a very simple install, 2 gutters on a pole barn on the back of our property. When my wife told the salesman that she would take the information, but I was not home, he simply said "we don't do business unless we meet with both homeowners" and left. He said it was according to the BBB. I have contacted the BBB and they assured me that there is no rule as to who has to be home to get the estimate. Needless to say we went with the company who felt my wife was competent enough to tell the salesman what we needed and get the quote.

I have nothing but good to say about this company. The gutters are the best and, with the freezing weather we have had, it is wonderful not to have to worry about any home damage resulting from defective gutters. Also, every employee with whom I have had contact, was very professional and friendly. I highly recommend the Gutter Magician Company to anyone in need of high quality gutters.

Someone left a brochure today and the sales guy stopped back at 7:30 pm. When my husband nicely told him that we weren't interested three times, the sales rep said my husband was "a real treat". Listen bud we did not ask for your brochure nor had we expressed any interest in your product or service. Door to door sales with aggressive tactics will not win my business and from a lot of reviews I have seen here this is not the first time someone has complained about pushy sales people.

My partner and I had the Gutter Magician of Northern Kentucky come out to our home to give us a quote and take a look at replacing our current gutters. Doug and his team were extremely professional and able to answer all of our questions. They went over the product and had a ton of color options for us to choose from and examples of their product for us to look over. Doug was very prompt when getting back to me with any questions. The installation was done in one morning and very well done. They installed the gutters while we were out of town and when we came back there were no signs that they had even been there, because they did such a great job cleaning up after themselves. Before having the system installed our flower beds were destroyed and flooded every time it rained due to the old gutters pulling away. We couldn’t even use our front door when it rained because it was a waterfall pouring down. With the new gutters installed we can finally do our flower beds and use our front door!!! The price was excellent, the warranty amazing, and the whole process was easy and seamless! I would recommend them over any of the competitors out there.

I am writing this in regards to the Amazing job that THE GUTTER MAGICIAN has performed at my house.

I have been looking 3-4 years for my gutters and downspouts to be replaced. Everyone that came to look at my house would never call back or did not have the equipment to do the job. The back of my house is 4 stories high. I continued looking until I found THE GUTTER MAGICIAN.

THE GUTTER MAGICIAN looked at my house before sending the sales guy to let me know if they were able to complete the job or not. They were very successful. The Gutter Magician team was at my house for the 1 day installation with all of the old gutters and downspouts removed and hulled off at no extra cost……..and were replaced with brand new ones made right in front of my house.

The product is pretty amazing; my basement has no more leaks, no over flow off the top of the roof. I have actually stood out front across the street in the pouring rain and watched.

I would recommend THE GUTTER MAGICIAN to everyone. The Professionalism and friendly staff was the huge plus. On top of the owner calling me after, asking how his guys did and if anything needs to be fixed? Thanks for the great job!!!!!!!!!

I was amazed to see the differences between competing products and this company's product. These gutters are the "Mercedes" of gutters except that with a Mercedes the warranty isn't for a lifetime! In all seriousness, the company is great, the product is phenomenal, and the employees have been nothing but pleasant. Highly recommend!

Gutter Magician put their system on my parents house last year. I don't have the words for the peace of mind it has given me. I no longer drive up and see my 70 year old father on a ladder trying to clean the gutters out because I nor my brother had gotten to it fast enough for him! Great customer service and great install crew. And not one single problem since it was installed!

BE WARNED! Terrible experience with this company. I made the mistake of getting a quote from this company a few years ago and have been harassed by their sales calls ever since. Despite repeated requests to be removed from their call list, and BLOCKING their number - they continue to call (I received two calls just today - prompting this review).

It is a sure sign you're dealing with a less than honest business when they cycle through phone numbers in order to bypass call blocks. The irony is that I'm actually in the market to buy gutter guards, but will NEVER purchase them from The Gutter Magician due to their unprofessional and aggressive behavior.

This review is based solely on their sales rep, and not the product. We were told that Gutter Magician will provide a free estimate. When the sales rep came for the free estimate, we did not even get a price until sitting through two hours of a sales pitch. Then it took another hour of back and forth on pricing before he finally took "no" for an answer. The sales guy then got mad and said rude things to my wife before leaving, like "you'll be sorry when your husband is cleaning your gutters and falls off the ladder and dies." Very unprofessional.
