James Elliot Roofing has done yet another outstanding job for me. The entire team was incredible to work with. James was prompt and efficient, as he always is, and his Crew Leader David was a true pleasure to work with. The provided explanation and photos to support the extra items that weren’t initially in the quote (repairing sheeting) and left my property better than when they arrived. I cannot recommend James Elliott Roofing enough… you get what you pay for with this locally owned business.

We contacted James Elliot after shingles nearly blew off our roof from a wind and snow storm. He was able to look at our roof via satellite and provide his opinion within an hour.

After contacting our insurance, James met the insurance adjuster at our home during the adjuster’s inspection. Our insurance initially denied the claim but we were provided guidance on how to proceed with appealing the claim.

He met with the engineer that the insurance company sent to our home and stayed there during that two hour inspection as well.

Our insurance company was extremely unhelpful throughout the entire process. It took nearly 12 weeks for our claim to get settled and we wouldn’t have been able to get it approved without the help of James and his team. He took many, many phone calls from us and we worked through this.

They did a thorough job fixing damage they found during install, they cleaned up thoroughly, and we are so happy with how our roof looks.

We cannot be more appreciative of their help and cannot recommend them enough!

James Elliott Roofing installed our roof this past spring. Very professional, easy to work with, and did a great job. They used owens corning shingles which I preferred and have the best craftsmanship warranty in our area. Highly recommend using them.

They checked my roof back in March and advised there is wind damage. When the insurance Adjuster came out Jamey never showed up to the inspection appointment, I was stuck alone with adjuster. The adjuster denied my claim says there is no wind damage, I received 3-4 calls from James elliot roofing from different people asking the status of my claim, everytime I explained the situation and they would say let us look into it and never get back to me. They seem like nice people but I had a bad experience.

Excellent work. Cleaned up the work area before the crew left and double checked to make sure they got any little pieces of debris. The crew knew what they were doing and did a Great Job on our roof. If you need a new roof, we highly recommend James Elliott Roofing...

James Elliott Roofing responded quickly to my roof damage in 2023. They were friendly and professional. This company absolutely knows their stuff when it comes to roofing. When the insurance company didn’t want to fulfill their obligation Mike Smith from James Elliott was awesome. He laid out the process and steps to follow, included me on emails to and from the insurance company and was truly a credit to his business. They had the roof replaced in less than a day and it looks terrific.

Very professional; answered all questions; filed proper paperwork with insurance; completed the job in one day; even though it was a complete tear off, the job site was left spotless.

Recent storm damage this spring tore our roof up. Was recommended a few different roofers and ended up contacting James Elliot. The response was immediate, their agent Mike Smith was knowledgeable, and the entire process went as smooth as I could have ever hoped. Having never replaced a roof before I was a bit nervous going into it but Mike took care of us and we couldn't be happier. He rapidly answered every question and concern we had and was extremely prompt at getting back with us. The roofing team were in and out in a day and it was like they were never there with their due diligence cleaning up behind themselves. The new roof looks phenomenal. I could not recommend James Elliot highly enough and will be using them again and recommending them to anyone who needs roof work done.

Finding a professional and skilled tradesman that delivers on their commitment, seems to be hit and miss, but not with James, David and team. Their attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship was refreshing. Elliott Roofing are the best. They made the whole process of getting our new roof and dealing with our home insurance so streamlined. Not a single shingle was left in the yard when they were done. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a new roof. Very professional and punctional.

James Elliott himself is very nice, he acted quickly when our flat roof was leaking. Unfortunately the leaking resumed within 2 years. The timeline:
• 2015: flat roof replaced
• 2017: leak resumes. Gutter repaired thinking this may be the problem
• 2018: slow leaking persists
• May 2019: dimensional shingles replaced to fix the leak as per James Elliott’s recommendation.
• June 2019: leaks are worse.
• July 2019: foreman stops by with 2 Spanish only speaking employees and does something on the roof. No details given.
• Aug 2019: failed attempt to evaluate the leak.
• September 2019: more work done in an attempt to stop the leaks. The foreman cannot give details
• October 2019: foreman comes again to fix the leak and it appears to stop again
• Aug 2020: slow leaking resumes
• November 2020– Feb 2021: multiple attempts to work with James Elliott Roofing to find a solution.
• March 2021: they recommend to replace the flat roof again and replace the skylights. The person who inspected and wrote the bid was not aware that they had replaced the roof 5 to 6 years earlier.
• March to August 2021: multiple exchanges with James Elliott trying to understand why the flat roof needs to be replaced so soon.
o No response to questions about a warranty on the original work.
o I’m told that the flat roof is not the problem, the skylights are the problem.

Independent inspector finds that water is collecting between the old and new flat roofs and has been overflowing down the valleys since the beginning. If you employ James Elliott Roofing, be careful to get some sort of time limited warranty in writing. Be aware that communicating with them is difficult.

Roof installation. Skylight was not step flashed as required. Caused a leak that damaged my ceiling severely. $1,000 in damages. Called to get it resolved. I have pics of before, during, and after roof install.
James Elliott came out and refused to fix the skylight. Instead, he just wanted to fist fight. Claimed he was a mixed martial artist and would break both my legs. Did some research on yelp and called another roofer. Apparently he has a history of threatening his customers with bodily harm. I'll be suing in small claims court.

James Elliott Roofing made it easy and convenient to get a quality roof job, and quickly. They communicated very well, were very prompt and thorough, and the price was competitive. They completed the job in one day, and their crew left no debris anywhere. We highly recommend working with this company.

I genuinely could not be happier with my experience with James Elliott Roofing! We chose the Owens Corning Platinum package, in Onyx. They were patient and helpful with my questions about the process, materials, and warranty, and even patient with my hovering about while on site!(Sorry if I was a pain, David!) I was very happy to see how thorough they were from removal of the old roof, making minor repairs and additions to the substructure, clean up, and even rejecting sub-optimal components that arrived from a vendor. I will ALWAYS recommend James Elliot Roofing when the question of a who to hire for a roof comes up!

The flat roof replaced July 2020 is leaking and holding water between the slope of the garage roof and the edge of the flat roof membrane. James Elliott was notified, sent someone out to take pictures, then determined the issue is not a defect in installation or workmanship, but rather due to wind damage. An insurance adjuster and additional roofing contractor have both said there is no wind damage and the issue is installation, to include lack of membrane adhesive and step flashing not being torn off and reinstalled properly.
In the meantime, James Elliott has refused to do anything to remedy the problem except to quote new work for a repair that I'm not sure I have any confidence in.
If you do business with this company, buyer beware and insist on a warranty for materials and work performed.
Sadly, they were the more expensive of 4 quotes I got and at the time believed they were the better company.

Best in the business. Jamie is the most knowledgeable person when it comes to roofing. The crew is able to remove and replace a roof within hours and to top it off its top quality work. Customer service and availability is awesome as well. Thanks James Elliott Roofing! You all are great!
