We purchased a Tesla from Greenbriar Ford in August 2024. The very next day, while removing the generic front license plate (the kind most dealerships add to the cars they sell), we discovered that Greenbriar Ford had mounted a license plate holder directly into the plastic bumper. It quickly became apparent that this was done to deliberately cover a giant hole in the front bumper. No one at the dealership disclosed this damage before or during the sale.

After reviewing the Tesla's dashcam footage, we saw dealership employees pointing at the damage and discussing it among themselves—clearly aware of the issue and choosing to hide it. When we brought this to the salesperson’s attention, the dealership refused to take responsibility or offer any solution. Despite us following up daily for more than two weeks, our messages were completely ignored.

To make matters worse, it took over three months to receive our license plate. We eventually discovered that this was because Greenbriar Ford never submitted the necessary paperwork, as they did not even have the title to the car when they sold it to us. We had to personally drive back to the dealership and spend several hours waiting in person just to get our plate.

This kind of deceptive behavior and lack of accountability is unacceptable. Greenbriar Ford knowingly sold us a damaged vehicle and then ghosted us when confronted with evidence.

If you’re considering buying a car here, be extremely cautious—inspect every inch of the vehicle yourself and don't expect any support after the sale.

Your response is performative at best. We already called, emailed, and followed up for over a month, asking multiple times to speak with a manager—and were ignored . Not a single person took responsibility or made any effort to resolve the issues we raised during that time.

When we finally reached the salesperson who sold us the car—over a month later—we were told flat out that nothing would be done to resolve the issue, so what could speaking to the manager do almost a year later..?

We exhausted every effort to handle this privately. If your team truly cared about customer service, you would have acted when it mattered.

I hope every potential customer reads this and sees how unprofessional your business is and how poorly your it responds to issues.

THINK TWICE!! Brought my truck to Greenbrier Chevrolet for a repair, which they diagnosed as the oil cooler. Only to have a major oil leak the very next day on the drive home. Tried working with the team (Dane) for a refund and only received a response (50 days and 8 emails later) this week. Here I am, out $781.05 and a damaged truck. See photo of "THE REPAIR!"

So let's start this out by saying I can not stand the car buying experience. There's an old saying, "What are two jobs you can do being a liar? A weather man or a car salesman."
With being said, let's go. I was in West Virginia visiting my family and found a used vehicle. I was looking for a little cheaper and in great shape . Not having quick access to my finances back home, I applied a loan thru my credit card company, which was approved at a decent for today's market.
Nope, this wasn't good enough for them. While closing the deal, they ended up going to a different finance company at a higher rate. Almost 3% higher... that is what it is because I don't carry car payments...
I told the salesman multiple times that I do not want a service contract. Well, guess what was added to my contract at the end of the deal? The service contract.
Then there was an outrageous document fee, and let's not forget to mention the vehicle DNA dots for $495.

I mentioned this to the insurance, and my agent laughed. That definitely made me happy..
So, in short, I gave them a $5000 and it did not matter because they ate that up with nearly $5000 in nonsense.

But I will say the associates at the dealership are very nice when they're making their money.

In closing, my review is for the people who come to buy a car and have to carry their loans for full terms. Please be careful because you don't pay for things you do not need.

On our way to Colorado for a 4 wheelin trip towing a sidebyside with an F150, we developed a trans oil leak. Got to their shop late in the day. They fit me in at 8:00 the next morning determining shortly that I had too much fluid. They drained enough to properly reset my fluid level. Done within an hour and on our way for a very fair price. These are good guys that feel your pain and resolve your issues quickly and at a fair price.

Pleasantly satisfied and surprised. Drawing from past experiences in buying a vehicle, where the sales person parades beween the manager and me several times (for hours) to "get" me the best price was not an event that I was looking forward to. And then --the upsell portion of the transaction!! I was dreading the day that I had to look, test, finance, and buy a new car.

Went into this location to ask advice on a issue I was having with my Ford. I was in town working and wanted direction on troubleshooting my key fob not working properly after having a new battery installed earlier that day. I had a good idea of what caused it and communicated the backstory that lead up to me having to seek advice. I went to the “Service Professionals” cause thats what they advertise on there website. They quickly concluded my issue wasn’t due to the battery being replaced and suggested I buy a new battery for the key fob and that would solve the issue. I didn’t totally agree but they’re the professionals, right. I changed the battery out in the key fob and still not work. I informed them it didn’t solve the issue and there was no concern or customer service practiced. I left and soon after fixed the issue myself and they missed a opportunity to learn something new.The service guys talked to me like I was a teenager pumping gas for the first time. To whoever this may help, The battery being replaced disabled the “MyKey” unlock/lock option. I abled it by the steering wheel controls. I guarantee they would have waited on me hand and foot if I was wanting to purchase a vehicle. Professionals?

Julie Samples is awesome!

We dropped by the Greenbrier Ford location in Lewisburg, WV on Saturday (6/17) looking for a late-model Ford F-150. We were greeted by Julie Samples and she took us on a tour of their inventory. We learned that Julie owns an F-150 so she is extremely knowledgeable on the F-150 product line and their options.

Although we were unable to find an F-150 with a V8 and leather seats, Julie employed her search skills in the dealer network and found a 2023 that met our exact needs. Julie located the F-150 faster than you can say "squirrel." The dealership where she found our F-150 was about 180 miles from Lewisburg, so they picked it up for us on Monday. Our new F-150 was ready for delivery the next day.

Greenbrier Ford provided us with a very positive "no hassle" buying experience and their sales representative Julie Samples is very friendly and knowledgeable.

We highly-recommend Greenbrier Ford!

Steering went out over Memorial Day weekend. I used the drop box and left my car. They call 15 minutes after they opened for business and got to working fast. I know Ford vehicle rarely brake down. But when they do, the service departments are fast to fix the issue. Thanks for being so prompt. Go Ford!

They kept replacing unnecessary parts because they couldn’t figure out the problem. They made me pay for parts that were incorrect. They refused to put on a new aftermarket part even though ford no longer made the part. They put a used part on instead. They took 2 weeks to get it fixed because of waiting on incorrect parts. They also left a sensor unplugged.

I have less than 500 miles left on my warranty and my engine light has come on. (Mind you within 3 months of having our 2018 Focus the engine blew up.) I call explaining my situation the soonest appointment I can get is 9 days away. I drive to doctors appointments for treatments every other day. My warranty would be over long before then. Please do NOT buy a vehicle from this place. They don't do anything to ensure you are treated the way you should be treated.
