My family purchased a home in the Magnolia neighborhood, and when I tell you this house needed some work, I mean it! This house was built in 1959, and I know it will take a lot of work to deal with the original construction of that age.
Our initial idea was to flip this home and re-sell it. In order to maximize our profits, we needed to renovate the kitchen, bathrooms, basement, etc. This is not my first rodeo; I previously hired many construction companies. I know what questions to ask and what to expect, but the process can be challenging as you try to find the right people for the job.

We started the remodel three months ago. As I sit here, I now have two beautiful new bathrooms, a brand new kitchen, gorgeous bedrooms, a basement that can be rented as a rental unit, a fabulous new patio, and numerous other projects inside and out that have completely transformed my home.

Josh was very responsive and a pleasure to deal with throughout the process. He ensured that the electrical, plumbing, and everything hidden inside our 64-year-old walls was as up-to-date as our new countertops and cabinets. The workers were highly skilled and extremely respectful of us and our space, as we had to work from home while they worked on our house. They finished the job down to the last detail.

I also had a new roof and 15 windows replaced. The roof was a steep 12-pitch with some plywood needing replacement. New turbines were installed, and vents were painted. Clean-up of the area was complete. The windows were custom-made, constructed mainly by a local manufacturer. Some windows were so large that they required manufacturing from an out-of-state provider. All were installed by qualified technicians who thoroughly cleaned up the area.

What stood out for me was the communication and the flexibility. Half through the project, I also wanted to do the basement. I wanted to add a bathroom, laundry room, utility room, and spacious living space. The basement can be utilized as a rental property, so by adding more stuff, I could get more value by having larger families living here. All of the walls were unfinished concrete, and the joints were exposed. It started to look much better after applying the first coat of texture and primer.
Josh and his workers turned the basement from an empty concrete space to a warm, livable space adding value to the property.
One of the things that was important to me was cohesiveness between the upstairs and the downstairs. Josh and his team worked hard to ensure everything matched the upstairs. In the end, even the door knobs matched the ones upstairs.
