I have used GMG for a few driveway projects and I always go back to them. They are professional, responsive, easy to work with and they get the job done.

My neighbor had them on our street this week. The large rig drivers blocked driveways, parked up on sidewalks, had two rigs on both sides of a narrow street, and were generally dismissive with little to no understanding of how to work in a residential neighborhood starting at 7am while people are driving to work and walking with dogs and kids.

If you need your residential concrete/sidewalk replaced, this is the company for you! I dreaded possibly having our steps and sidewalk tore up for what I imagined may be weeks. Instead, they arrived when they said they’d arrive (with a landscaper), and tore everything out early in the day. Their concrete crew arrived the same day, installed rebar to avoid future frost heaving/cracks, and poured and sealed the new sidewalk/steps by early evening. Two days later, their landscaper returned and put our gravel pathway and retaining wall back to their original state, lying down new topsoil and hydroseeding more of our lawn than was disturbed. In addition to great work, they are very friendly, professional, and their price very reasonable.

Absolutely no complaints at all! They completed all the work that was agreed upon - at a very reasonable price, showed the week that was arranged, and completed it well within the time that was estimated. Couldn't ask for more.

Great communication and quality work. Will use this company again in the future if I need more concrete/asphalt work done.

We've never seen a team so well oiled to perform all the tasks in sync with each other. They all took pride in their work and made sure the finishing touches were perfect. Even the equipment that drove in were first class, trucks, tractors, rollers, watering. Nothing was going to break down and stop this mass production. Believe the neighbors even were at awe at the work that was done, and now have their driveway on the books to be paved. Great job, crew! We love Alaskan businesses!

In approximately February of 2017 the sewer connection broke requiring a portion of the driveway to be dug up to make repairs. I the summer of 2017 had GMG come in a dig up the entire driveway, remove original soil under the driveway and bring in better compacting soil, then pave the driveway. We were extremely with the work GMG did. The driveway had no droppage until the 2018 earthquake and then only an inch or so. After another significant earthquake it dropped about a half inch. Rather than wait and put up with the bump up every time I entered or left the garage I had them back to bring it level with the garage floor again. I am quite satisfied with the work they did and am especially impressed with their friendly and informative customer service. I found all the GMG personnel I dealt with to be friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend GMG for total driveway replacements or repairs. If I ever need further asphalt work done I would only call GMG.

I’d recommend using any other paving company. GMG had terrible communication, didn’t do the job to spec, messed up our lawn by tossing gravel into the grass and stripping grass from a large unpaved area. Their crew literally came over with no plan and never got out a tape measure, but rather used spray pain lines from another contractor’s suggestions you start digging into our lot. Stay away.

Terrible customer service. I’m sure they may do a decent job based on other reviews, but how anyone gets any work done on their home is beyond me based on the service I have received.

So our garage after the earthquake hasn’t been draining water properly, it looks like there’s a problem with the grade and it’s been running towards the wall, not the center drain.

So I call and we schedule for someone to come do a quote. First off, they are two hours late. Okay, people are busy, that can slide. Then he spends TWO minutes at the house measuring our Garage. We tried explaining to him what was going on and asking if he thought we needed to rip up the existing concrete or if we can just pour a layer over it to change the slope and get it to drain properly. I was looking for expert opinion because this is what you do for a living. He replied, don’t worry I’ll give you both quotes. Never once did he test the grade or do any other observations or ask any questions except take two minutes to measure the garage and leave.

A week goes by. No quote. I call and am told it takes at least a week to get a quote. Ok...if that’s what it takes...again you are the experts.

When I finally do get a quote it is just one quote, and it is to rip up the entire existing concrete and re pour it. There was no additional information in the email. I respond asking if this is what he thinks in his professional opinion that this is what needs to get done because he didn’t explain our problem at all. No response. Another week goes by so I email the main office with my concerns. No response.

Now I don’t want to be that person who has one bad experience and writes a poor review without giving that company a chance. I see other people post reviews and the owners reply with, well why didn’t you reach out to us to fix the problem first? Well I have reached out twice, the last time over two weeks ago. Still no responses from anyone.

However, I am one person. This is a larger company and they will continue to get business and contracts regardless of what my feedback is. I remember back when I was a kid, hard work and customer service was paramount. It’s hard to find good customer service anymore and you definitely won’t find it here. Good luck.
