Georgia Roof Repair

I had roof damage that caused water leak and damaged fascia and soffit. All was repaired so perfect in addition to tightening up porch banister, cleaning off roof. I'm so grateful. Mr Callahan and his worker far exceeded my expectations. I will be requesting his work again in the near future. He is very honest.

Not only did I receive a more than fair quote from John, he met it. Him and his crew were friendly. They showed care for not only my outdoor furniture, but my plants as well. The job was done quick and effecent I will call Georgia Roof Repair for any more repairs I should need in the future.

John, the owner, came to our home in the most pressing time as we are selling our house. We live in an affluent neighborhood and he did not try to take advantage seeing what our home was worth. He has to be the only honest roofer in the business as his competition was not honest and wanted to charge double if not triple the cost for what we thought was a simple job. John came, evaluated the situation, had his crew here the next week and the cost was exactly what he quoted with no arguments. He was so pleasant to work with and I'd recommend him any day of the week.

We had a HORRIBLE experience with this company. Incomplete and shoddy work done on our home... the few times his company actually showed up. Then he completely ghosted us a couple weeks into the project with less than a third done. He would not answer or return our phone calls or texts. We finally won a court ordered judgment against him but he has yet to refund us the thousands of dollars. Do not use this company!

There is so much that I can say about Georgia Roof and John! I just bought a home and the morning after we moved in, we had a leak from a storm the night before. With more rain on the way, in a panic I got in thumbtack to find someone to help. He was one of the few that could come help us on the same day! He arrived within a couple of hours and was very professional and personable. He looked at the roof and immediately discovered what the issue was. He kept me informed throughout the process and showed me before and after pictures. He was honest and I could tell that he wasn’t out to take advantage of me. He genuinely wanted to resolve the issue so that I could have one less thing to worry about. I felt extremely comfortable with him and I would highly recommend him. He’s not your typical contractor. He’s a straightforward, no bull, going to make sure you know everything type of guy that is focused on creating an exceptional customer experience. Thank you so much John for coming to the rescue! This gentleman and his company agreed in October of 2017 to paint the exterior of our home. Mr. Callahan agreed to take payments after the project was complete if we agreed to pay him a lump sum of half down. Considering he had just done our roof the previous year, my husband and I naively thought we could trust him to complete this project. He and his employee who came out only a few days, did partial prep work, pressure washing with too high of a PSI, and destroyed parts of our cedar siding—which have since had to be replaced. They also used latex paint instead of a stain based paint on our cedar siding which now needs to be completely redone.

After coming both scarcely and sporadically throughout the month of October, he and his employee never did any more work after October 31st, 2017. We had perfect painting weather throughout the month of October and most of November and even the first week of December so there was absolutely no reason why this project couldn’t be completed within the 4-5 weeks Mr. Callahan agreed. We left numerous phone calls, voicemails, text messages, and even a Facebook message begging for an explanation on as to why no one was coming out to complete this project which we had already put down thousands of dollars down on....with no response.

We finally had to resort to magistrate court in Cobb County, Ga due to the incomplete and lack of work on our home after we had already paid Mr. Callahan and Georgia Roof Repair $3000.00. Mr. Callahan did, at least, show up in court. We agreed in mediation for less than what we were requesting because we have continuously wanted to resolve this issue amicably. However, we now regret not skipping mediation and going straight in front of the judge for $3800 which we were requesting including court cost and additional damage to our home.

True to history, Mr. Callahan never came through on his end of the bargain we agreed to in mediation and never paid us what he agreed. And here we are, now with a court-ordered judgment against John Callahan/Georgia Roof Repair.

We have tried to go about this entire ordeal diplomatically, legally, and are finally—8 months later—resorting to leaving an honest review online and through social media describing our incredibly disappointing experience with this company. This is very unfortunate to us as we are hard-working people and are just trying to update our home for our family and children to live.

Great work, extremely fair , took all the leg work out for me, had extensive hail damage, Called one time was out same day had work finished befor the week was out!

Called John on Wednesday regarding a boot that was leaking on my roof due to his five good reviews on Google. He immediately wanted to replace all the boots on my house and was very concerned about the potential pitch of my roof. He only seemed concerned about how much he could charge me stating that a minimum charge for inspection was $199. Like a dummy, I said OK and he agreed to call me the next day and come take care of the problem. It's now Saturday afternoon 3 days later and I have not heard one word from him. I just now called him and he stated "I had to go out of town". I guess his phone doesn't work when he's out of town. I told him not to worry about it anymore, that I would be giving him a truthful Google review which I have. Good luck to anyone who decides to use this guy.

Hands-down the best roof company in the state of Georgia! John and Somer have A1 customer service and professionalism not to mention vast knowledge in their field and beyond. They are there for YOU, the customer, rather than just trying to make a buck! Why can't all companies be like this? I will hire them for all my roofing needs the rest of my life!
