Customer feedback on Genesis Construction Group is mixed, with several reviews praising their quick response times, quality of work, and professionalism. Many customers appreciate the diligent communication and assistance throughout the project, leading to successful outcomes. However, a significant number of reviews express frustration over poor customer service and communication, particularly regarding delays and lack of follow-up on estimates and ongoing projects. These serious complaints highlight a need for improvement in customer engagement and reliability during the project timeline.
- The team was professional, attentive, and highly skilled.
- They showed up promptly and helped get the standing water out of my basement.
- Any questions were addressed immediately, work was done in a timely manner and the price was fair.
- The work was completed on time and within budget.
- I would definitely call them again if I need repair work.
- Great meeting for 2 hours and was so excited they could get me a bid back before Thanksgiving, but never received it after multiple follow-ups.
- We feel like we’re being ghosted; can't get ahold of our contractor.
- Canceling the contract should have cost us the 10% held, not a much larger sum.
- Poor communications with the sub-contractors and the customer.
- Workers don’t show up as scheduled and customers are not notified of delays.

Once my HO insurance approved the scope of work to be done in my basement, Travis the production manager and Kayleigh were quick to respond and a pleasure to work with. Paul just completed the work and it looks like nothing happened. They matched the color for the bathroom chair rail panel to a T. The work was completed within a week!
I’ll be using them again when I need my deck redone this fall
Thanks again to Genesis Construction group

Thank you Genesis for dropping everything for me. HUGE shout-out to Genesis Construction Group for getting us across the finish line on the closing of our former home. HOAs are harsh when it's time to sell. No violations in 17 years and one week to closing, they gave us 8. All good! We handled it. A sale in less than 2 days with a very quick 2 week closing! Genesis has been wonderful to us over the years with several major projects.

Our insurance company recommended Genesis to make repairs due to water damage. They recommended them because they supposedly stand behind their work for 5 years. The work involved replacing a ceiling, carpet, a bathroom shower and various other smaller tasks. Let me begin by saying the estimator that came out was very kind and professional. And the individual contractors that came out to do the drywall, painting, carpet and electrical work (when they finally showed up) did a good job.
That all being said, we found this to be one of the most dysfunctional companies we’ve worked with. Owners are non-responsive and do not take care of their customers. We left messages with the CEO and never received a return call. Project Managers are disorganized and poor communicators. We would have to constantly call to find out when a contractor was coming. Sometimes it took several days before we would get a return call. We had multiple days of no-shows and other times a contractor would just show up with no notice.
The last task they needed to complete was the installation of shower doors. They installed them, but after they left, we noticed there were 1/2 inch gaps at the bottom side of each door. When you turn the shower on, water leaks out the gaps onto the floor. We told the Project Manager about the problem, and he said he would send someone out to fix it. But before he sent someone out, he wanted me to sign over to him the last check from the insurance company. We were reluctant to do that, but he insisted that it would get fixed and that they guaranteed their work for 5 years - so no worries. He did send someone out (twice) to fix the shower doors but they were clueless as to how to fix it. We made several calls to Genesis to get this resolved, but no response. We also asked several times for an accounting of what had actually been spent on materials compared to what the insurance company paid. The Project Manager said he would provide that, but of course we never received it. It has been several months now with no response from the company, and we’ve been forced to go out and pay for a new set of doors and have them installed. We have notified our insurance company so that they do not recommend this company in the future.
Update: This review was posted for David Bingham who was your customer. He tried posting through his email but wasn’t successful so he asked me to post it. I worked with David and Genesis through this entire process.

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.
The cost to replace the roof of a commercial building typically ranges from $5 to $12 per square foot, depending on several factors such as roof size, material, labor rates, building type, and local code requirements.
Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.
Roof leak repair cost generally ranges from $300 to $800, depending on the size and location of the leak, the materials required, and labor intensity. Complex leaks involving structural repairs or interior damage will cost more.
Flat roof repair cost for commercial properties usually ranges from $500 to $3,000, depending on the roofing material (TPO, EPDM, PVC), the extent of the damage, and roof accessibility.
Mobile home roof replacement cost typically ranges from $3,000 to $8,000, making it generally more affordable than traditional home roof replacements, due to smaller size and simpler structure.
It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.
The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.
To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
