Gauthier Roofing and Siding

I hired Gauthier roofing to replace my eaves with gutter guard about 2 weeks ago. Ron is very responsive and easy to communicate with and his team is very friendly.

I came home from a night shift and his team did the entire install while I slept. I woke up to a finished job with no mess, very professional work.

The install looks great and works great, I would use them again.

Ron, of Gauthier Roofing was excellent to deal with, from the initial contact regarding a quote, Ron was upfront that their service is not the lowest cost but is reputable and the guarantee behind the work is better than most.
I am very pleased with the work completed. Though we experiences several weather related delays, Ron was always in contact to plan future work schedule. This was very much appreciated regarding personal planning arrangements.

I can’t attest to the quality of work, but I can attest to the quality of service. But from what I am gathering from the President’s email and the website, the work is probably amazing. They unfortunately can’t do what I might be looking for (but will be using them if needed in the future) but they gave me such a detailed email about what could or could not be an issue. I couldn’t believe it! The President responded so quick which that alone was really impressive. Thank you for the assist. This meant a lot in a stressful situation.

Highly recommended! Ron was really clear with his estimate and scope of work. We needed to match our house to our newer garage roof and they brought out shingle samples so we could make sure the colour was what we wanted. Workers arrived on time and really protected our house, gardens, and other areas with tarps and boards. Work was completed in one day and clean-up was exceptional... we haven't found any nails or debris on our property. Where our existing vent pipes were in good shape, they freshened the paint instead of replacing them. The quote was exactly as expected, even with respect to any additional charges for replacing rotted plywood in excess of the allowance. Would definitely use them for any future jobs.

Want to thank the Gaultier team for a job well done. We had our roof stripped, plywood added, Shingles replaced, soffits and fascia replaced. It was a two step process (roof one day, siding work another) I really appreciated the ongoing communication I recieved with Ron through the process. This is my third project that we have contracted Gauthier for and once again we were extremely happy with the service and quality of work.

We had strong storm one night and had some of our roofing shingles blow off the roof. We called Gauthier Roofing and Siding the next day and explained the issue at hand. I was concerned if the roof wasn't repaired promptly, that if another storm came through that day that we could have extensive water damage in the house. They came out that day and repaired the roof! I am impressed and very pleased with their customer service and would highly recommend them to do your roof.

The Gauthier roofing team was wonderful. In two days they stripped and replaced our roof. They also put in new roof vents.
They cleaned up all the debris from our yard and our closest neighbour’s yard so that we and our cars were safe.

Ron did an excellent job replacing their front door. The frame around it had rotted due to age and caused the door to sink down and stop closing properly. It was a complex job due to the panels of glass on either side of the door and above it. My parents were very pleased with his professionalism and are thrilled with the end result!

Designing and building our own two story, A-frame, R-2000 home, assisted only by family, friends and a few tradesmen, was an ambitious task when we were young. Fast forward forty years. Gauthier Roofing recently replaced the roof on our house and garage, as we had been experiencing several leaks, even though repairs by two other roofing companies did not completely solve the problem.

I sent photos from our attic, which showed the tongue and groove boards that were commonly used when our house was constructed in 1956. Ron Gauthier advised us that if the boards were not in good condition they should be covered with plywood sheets and included the additional cost.

When his team arrived and started to remove the old shingles it became obvious that the boards were cracked and pieces were missing so they installed the new sheets of plywood and then the shingles.

His crew was topnotch in their work doing a very professional job and their setup before starting and cleanup afterwards was first class.

When we decided to replace the roof and change the colour of the shingles Ron provided us with a list of addresses near us to compare the colours that we were contemplating. It was quite helpful and we were very happy with our choice.

Any time we had any questions Ron replied promptly. He also shared pics of the old roof boards, on request, so that we could see the poor condition they were in. He monitored the progress of the work with us throughout as the job took two and half days to complete.

Mr Gauthier made it a smooth and easy process. I chose to use email as our preferred method of communication and Mr Gauthier was always very responsive. From my first email to the end product, Mr. Gauthier was always keeping the communication open and honest and it made us feel much less stressed about this big investment. His workers are top notch. They replaced the shingles in a quick and timely manner. They were very professional and the cleanup was as if they were never there. Do not think twice. Get a hold of Gauthier roofing and siding and feel confident you are getting the best service and quality. Do it now.

The worst contractor I have ever dealt with in my life!. They manipulate words in their contracts to their advantage! If you want to be screwed over give them a call. I canceled the contract after 2 days as it is my right under the Consumer Protection act, "Cooling off Period". They tried to scare me into thinking I needed an additional $4450 worth of work and they illegally charged me a fee for canceling and threatened me with an addition cost if not paid. No work was started as they claim nor where any shingles colours picked.
I actually went with a higher priced contractor that is honest and open.
I won't be bullied and taken advantage of Ron.

Owner Ron Gauthier could not have been more professional, attentive, knowledgeable and he and his staff have the most excellent customer service. Technicians removed the older eavestroughs, pieces at a time, while installing new segments as they went along. All removed product was taken away and they kept our property in great shape while they worked.

OK. It's been a few months since I wrote the review above. All the work done; siding, windows, door are great. No problems at all.

So here's the thing. I needed the "energy" stickers that were affixed to each window to prove they met performance standards for a government grant. Problem was I lost the stickers. So I turned to Ron Gauthier to see if he could help. The next day Ron emailed me the energy performance data sheets for each window. Ron reached out to the window company and a couple days later I got scans of the stickers I had lost. He also arranged for the energy stickers to be mailed to me. This is way more than I need I'm sure in order to satisfy my energy evaluation. But this just underscores the "extra mile" you can expect from this company - even six months after the work was done!

Having used Gauthier Roofing and Siding, at my previous residence, my first thought was to call them for work I needed done at my new address. It was a last-minute request, which had to be fulfilled prior to the upcoming winter weather; was subject to other work being completed by other Contractors; took place during the Christmas Holiday Season! After learning what was required, Mr Gauthier assisted me immediately. He answered my questions, at all times, day & night! He was patient with my shift-work schedule. Mr Gauthier kept in touch as to my progress on the other work, advising what would happen depending on the timeline of its completion. A "What to Expect" information sheet is provided, so one knows ahead of time exactly what is to take place. The installers who attended (Regis & Eric), were very professional and courteous. The work was completed in exactly the timeframe they indicated. I was correct and very happy to deal with Gauthier Roofing and Siding again, and already have another job in mind to complete with them in the future.
