I purchased a 2015 Ford Fusion SE from Friesen Auto in May 2024. Within a week of driving the car, the battery failed. The dealership did fix this, but after that was resolved, the engine blew completely in July with less than 400 miles driven since the date of purchase.

I had the vehicle towed to a local mechanic in Belleville, who confirmed the engine was blown and recommended I return it to the dealership. I dropped it off at Friesen Auto in September 2024. I followed up consistently through phone calls, texts, and in-person visits but received little to no communication.

In mid-November, more than a month after dropping off the car, my friend—who is a mechanic—stepped in on my behalf and was able to get in contact. He was told the vehicle hadn’t been inspected because of an interlock device. I was never informed that the interlock was preventing them from looking into the issue. Because I couldn’t get any updates or communication, I had no idea this was even a factor.

Had someone simply responded to any of my many attempts to reach out, I would have been happy to assist. They could have blown into the device, contacted the interlock company for an override, or asked me to come in. I would have gladly done any of those things, including contacting the manufacturer directly—but I was left in the dark for over a month.

Once I was finally informed, I had the car towed out in December, had the interlock professionally removed, and returned it to their lot within a day or two. Since then, the only contact I’ve had was when my mechanic spoke to someone at the dealership in January 2025. I have not personally received a single update since, despite numerous calls, emails, and voicemails. The vehicle has now been in their possession for over seven months—five of which I’ve had no direct communication from them. I had to move across the country in December without my car and have not been able to get another vehicle because I’m still making $400 monthly payments on a car that hasn’t run since last July.

I would have much rather handled this internally and directly with the dealership. I made every effort to give them that opportunity, including a detailed final email addressed to both owners and multiple managers. In it, I outlined the situation, emphasized that the main issue was the lack of communication, and proposed three reasonable solutions. I also expressed openness to discussing other options. That email was never answered.

Unfortunately, I’ve since filed complaints with the Kansas Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau and am in the process of securing legal representation, as several attorneys have already expressed interest in taking on the case. I’m incredibly disappointed that it had to come to this. While my family has bought vehicles from Friesen for years, after this experience, I strongly encourage others to do their due diligence before doing business here.

They were very disorganized, couldn't find paperwork, wouldn't answer my calls and was told that David and Dawson were there. No one has even called me back after almost a week.david even wanted me to finance with him so he could make more money. Anyway enough for now,I could say alot more, you guys will NOT be getting any recommendations or referrals from me. Well it's been two weeks since I posted my review, Mr. Claremore wants to clarify my response, how do you clarify trying to give me a bank deposit for a receipt, the tire pressure system didn't work when I came back and it didn't have oil showing on the dipstick and I never received a phone call back, I just hope this is not how you treat people after they purchase a vehicle. So we did financing online yesterday, only to find out today the truck isn’t sellable (The Maroon Silverado 1500.) We live in OKC, and the truck is in Kansas. We had to call the dealership to even ask why they haven’t called us. Then to find out it needs a new transmission and they aren’t even selling it. WHY IS IT ON YOUR WEBSITE. WHY WERE WE ABLE TO GET APPROVED FOR FINANCING. Anyway, then Drew sends me a more expensive Silverado in their sister store in NEBRASKA. 3200.00 more expensive for one year newer, with 10,000 more miles on it. Same truck. I am like, is this a freaking scam? lol. What kind of crummy place is this? This must be one of those dealerships you see in the movies.

Do not recommend! In May I took my car to get my headlight wiring fixed and they fixed it enough for it to last a little bit! Remind you before I took it in it would never shock you at all. Well when I got it back it went out I had someone try and fix it well they ended up getting shocked! Completely waste of my time and money! Well I got a recall on my car and I called October 3rd pretty sure, Jamie told me they could fix it October 11th. October 7th maybe I asked if they could also fix the head light that they already “fixed” she said I can have them look at it not sure if they will have time! Okay not a problem! She called me October 11th told me they won’t be able to fix the recall I said okay so we schedule it for October 17th and once again I asked if my headlight could get fixed! Well I go in October 11th I said I would like my headlight fixed that y’all said you fixed! Jamie was so rude. She gave me my keys back and told me to go to this other place! Didn’t even get my recall fixed! NO you know you messed up so fix what you messed up! Sorry but if you want business yall need to get rid of Jamie!

This place reminded me why I hate dealerships.
Took my Ram 1500 in for a factory recall, the truck ran absolutely great when I dropped it off for a HPFP recall. I was told 1 week for this, i also asked them to check out a vibration, over 8 weeks later and after calling every week, my truck no longer ran! I was told lie after lie about this, and that said they were balancing the tires, this was a lie because I found out through one of there other locations the truck could not have ever run after they put the pump on. It had to be towed to a different location to be straightened out, their Ford store was able to repair it and I finally got my truck back after nearly 10 weeks.
Terrible service department that only knows how to LIE!!

Took my truck there they gave me an estimate I told them to go ahead and fix it was told about 3 days. A week later I called and they told me there was a delay in the part which is fine it happens!
Been waiting 5 weeks!! Finally called them again today and the parts haven’t even been ordered!!
Told me I had to pay upfront for them to actually order the parts which was never mentioned before! Jamie is rude and kelvin is no help! No apology or anything! Told them to forget it and picked up my vehicle!
Terrible customer service!
Don’t go there they don’t care about their customers!
EDIT‼️‼️ Due to this review they have let go my entire family that worked there for 12 years cuz they can’t take the truth!!
I will not keep quiet just cuz my family works there! Everyone should know the truth about this terrible establishment!

Note to others...if you want to wait a day or week to look at a vehicle...put money down to hold...they sale vehicle's to buyers on site as needed...then repeat as fast as demand requires...Respect the system

We drove almost 2 hours to look at a vehicle. We were told there was only a dent on the back of it. We got there and looked at the vehicle and discovered the front grill was knocked out. They couldn't tell me how it got knocked out except for they never noticed it after Dawson the sales manager drove it for 2 weeks. There was food all over inside the car between the seats. There was a tps light on and they didn't tell us about. They got very defensive and told us to leave.

It’s impossible to get a call back from this place! JR says he’ll call right back and never does! You have to call back just for him to tell you he’ll call back! Horrible customer service.
They don’t look your vehicle over right either you might as well save the money cuz they’ll tell you the same thing you already knew not being a mechanic!
Nothing gets fixed right either!
Also way more expensive than other places in town!

Drove 3.5 hrs to look at used F150 with 45000 miles on it. Called ahead of time and asked them for pictures of any imperfections on the truck. Informed them that would be traveling over 3 hrs so I wanted to make sure it was worth the drive. The sales woman sent two pictures of a couple of scratches on the driver side rear and a picture of scuff on one door. She told me the rest of the truck was pretty nice. That was a complete lie, there was hardly a panel on the truck that didn't have deep scratches or body damage. It was a total waste of my time and gas driving down there. If she would've been honest about the condition, I never would bothered driving down.

Had a recalled part replaced here. A week or so goes by and my battery starts dying every 2-3 days, Over the holiday weekend warning lights start coming on and light are all flickering. Thought maybe the alternator was going bad. Took it to a friend at Hundleys today and come to find out when everything was put back together after replacing the part, it was not done correctly and a wire was arcing under the battery. Considering that I drive back and forth to Manhattan every day, he said I got really lucky that something bad didn't happen.

They programed my PCM
Now my battery won't hold a charge. It started every time until it was put back on their computer. Was told my alternator was going to go bad and....lo and behold...my truck suddenly won't start because the battery won't hold a charge. Very disappointed
Glad my ex husband can fix this for hundreds of dollars less.

Wife had our wrangler in there for warranty on the rh sunviser... while in there they broke the cover off that goes over the usb ports. As an ex mechanic, there was no reason to be working on the visor from the left side! After looking at it im pretty sure the vison can be fixed by unbolting it and popping it back into the bracket. Will be taking my business elsewhere on top of that they sold my wife an alignment it did not need.
