How about a review on the new roof I never received? The process started back in September. I had to follow up multiple times to get a completed quote, but by the end of September I had verbally agreed to the price and offered to pay upfront due to the fact that I knew the roof wouldn’t last through winter. I signed the proposal as soon as it was sent to me in the beginning of October. I was told 4-6 weeks. It’s now been 12 weeks and both the salesman and owner have dodged my calls the last few weeks. I can’t even show up to confront them because their address for the business is residential. Before I wrote this review, I had my friend reach out to the owner who said he would take care of it and I still haven’t heard from anyone. I have lived in Maine my whole life and just moved a couple years ago. I believe they are taking advantage of me not living in the state and putting higher dollar roofs ahead of mine. This is not how you do business. I run a business of my own. Now I’ve got leaks and have to find a roofer that will replace a roof in winter. So not only do I have damage to repair, I will be paying way more money for the time of year and urgency. Also, because he came through a friend I didn’t see all the Google reviews. I realize now that two out of the three five star ratings on there were put there twice by the owner himself!

The older reviews on Google for Five Star are more favorable than the reviews from 2020. Now that Scott has gotten busier, he no longer answers his own phone. As is reflected in more recent reviews.
In our case, he did the roof in a timely fashion. But it was not him that did the work. He sent over a crew that he did not supervise, and they left a mess of 100+ roofing nails in our yard, as welll as other metallic objects.

When one of his workers dropped a heavy metal tool off the roof, some damage was done to our deck and they failed to reinstall the "gutter helmet" metal drip edge properly. To his credit, the did replace the decking boards that were damaged. But the warped and distored metal edging is not fixed.

For the "gutter helmet" repair, he has been unresponsive to 10 calls in 10 day, as well as two months worth of texts prior to that. His answering service is very polite, but we get no response from Scott.

If you wonder if Scott really knows about the Gutter Helmet damage, yes he does. Back when he was answering his phone, he did come over to view it and discuss it, and promised to fix it. He also noticed that some of the shingles needed to be trimmed. Something else that is pending.

If these issues are resolved (NOV 2020), I will edit this review.
