Joe and his team were great. We had a crack form in out master bath soaker tub, and it wrecked our bathroom. Joe cam out and assessed the damage and his team was working in no time. They were very polite to my family, and respectful of our house. Joe helped me navigate communications with insurance and get the payment we needed to get the job covered. Joe listened to our design choices and followed through on our request. Given another disaster, we will be returning to Five Star Disaster Service.

Daughter’s closet walls were saturated with water. I didn’t know what to do and I’ve heard nothing but great things from others that have used their services. They should up on a weekend day and helped me navigate my next steps in order to get my home insurance to pay for the damage. Tried to park in my garage and missed. Knocked the frame off the foundation. They fixed it 110%. The extra ten percent was for the matching exterior lights to match the replacement.
From estimate to permits to job complete was only a couple weeks and if you have any experience with the fist to things in that series, you know it's impressive to shuffle that process along with haste.
Absolutely recommend these guys for any and all jobs you need done right.

When outdoor ground water and mud found its way into my basement walls, the only indication there was a problem was finding mold under my back stairs. 5 Star meticulously and carefully deconstructed my historic basement to assess the damage, remove it, and prepare for reconstruction. Containment measures were top notch. With everything exposed I could address the outside source issue clearly and with confidence. I look forward to hiring 5 Star to return for the reconstruction and feel comfortable knowing we stopped the mold in its tracks.

Much to my surprise they came to my home quickly and assessed my situation which was in remediation. Acting as consultants, they offered recommendations for action by me as the homeowner. Absolutely the best. We had 13,000 gallons of water in our crawl space and the team at 5 Star was able to walk us through and complete the entire project. I spoke to Vince Monday morning and by the afternoon I met with Cody to get the project underway. The mitigation process was fast and resolved as soon as possible. The damages and repairs portion was handled by Joey and Justin, not only was the damage repaired, it looks better than it did before the damage. We could not be happier with 5 Star. We are really happy with the service provided: from Drake and the initial clean up crew to Joey and Justin who completed our repair and replacement (floors, counters, backsplash tile) and the workers in between. They communicate well, all the employees were respectful of our property, and the quality of the work was top notch. Five Star knew how to work with our insurance company too which was a big burden off our shoulders.

They were fast, professional and very kind. Were helpfull throughout the process of the water clean up. Awnserd all my questions and were quick to follow up.

We would highly recommend Five Star! While preparing to recarpet our house, we discovered a water leak. After walking into Five Star's office and explaining our problem, Brayden and Eric came to assess the damage the same day. Since we needed a plumber, and had already called several (who never called us back), Ed's plumbing was recommended. Ed, also came the same day. Brayden and Eric did an outstanding job of assessing and mitigating the damage. Once their work was done, we had multiple Five Star employees working to complete the repairs.
All of the employees were polite, efficient, professional, and talented! We could not be happier with the final results.

I dealt with another contractor prior to contacting Five Star not knowing that they also did remodeling as well as the disaster services that I had hired them with great success in years past. This time I needed a complete remodeling job on my entire home, adding a master bath on a bedroom with larger closet, heated floors in both baths, refinished wood floors, match existing wall and ceiling textures and putting back a bedroom in the basement that had flooded over a year prior. Everything and MORE was done! I had a budget that was being brought in UNDER where we had agreed on even with things I didn't ask for such as water filter and moisture detector along with a new water heater (I'm on a well) and extra insulation in this old house. And then, all of a sudden, they were doing rooms that I hadn't asked for any work to be done in but they sourced them up saying that my new stuff would put the old stuff out if place if not done right. These guys are phenomenal. If there were more stars to give them on this review, I most certainly would.

From the initial fire in October 2023 to the final walk thru in May 2024, Five Star Disaster Services helped navigate the demolition, rebuild, insurance, collaboration with subcontractors, and got the job done. Thank you Five Star for getting 5 Stars for this job!

I have worked with Five Star Disaster Services on 3 different occasions, 2 water damage claims and 1 total house remodel. Five Star was quick to respond and made sure that their works was done perfectly and on time. All paper work was laid out in estimates and timelines and final cost were right on. Their customer service and communication were great. The total house remodel is wonderful and everything the homeowner wanted. Re-review: my first review was less than flattering and the issues named within have since been resolved, so for that I will say thank you five star. I don't know if it was just to save face or if I was talking to the wrong person before but they came right away and did seem to very much care about the work that their company was being credited for. So I will just say, some things were done well, some were not. Maybe there was a staffing issue that has since been resolved. Maybe some of the past employees were less focused on their work than they could have been. And to be fair, some really were exceptional. But the cheapest materials possible were used, it took way longer than it should have, and things had to be redone after they were supposedly done. And the number of calls it took to get someone to redo them. And there are few things that are going to have to be redone again, still. I would be extremely upset if it wasn't paid by insurance, since whole homes have been built from the ground up for less. But from what I've heard our situation is an isolated incident stemming from multiple extenuating unforseen complications. Or something.

Thank you, Joey and team. We had a water leak in our off-the-grid cabin. It isn’t always easy getting out there, but Joey worked hard to arrange and coordinate everything. Super flexible and always communicative!

Five Star Disaster has definitely earned the Five Star of it's name sake. We own an old home and have had three different disasters in our home unfortunately. We have used Five Star for all three. The reason being is that they make it easy from mitigation, repair, clean up, and insurance. Five Star crew is top notch in what they do. Everyone was courteous, respectful, and were there to answer questions and to put our mind at ease. They made it an efficient process with quality work. Highly recommend them if you have an unfortunate disaster. They are the best at what they do.

Five Star Disaster Services was recommended to me by my insurance broker. They were very prompt in scheduling time to come assess the damage from a bathtub leak and immediately set up mitigation efforts, minimizing damage to our beloved house. We also worked with them for the repairs and Danielle, Jet, Josh, Justin and Devin did a fantastic job restoring the place and putting in new carpet.
Alex was an awesome project manager; no one enjoys having to deal with water damage but he was a great pleasure to work with, as was Joey.

A broken pipe caused a flood in our laundry room and the room next to it. Five Star was highly recommended to me. I called and they responded very quickly. Drayke, the mitigation project manager, came out to assess the situation. Drayke was a pleasure to work with, very patient with my questions and did his best to do everything is power to make the situation as stress free as possible for me. Despite the snow, freezing rain and road conditions he and his crew showed up at the expected time and got to work cleaning up, flood cutting walls, removing damaged carpeting and bringing in fans to dry things out. It was a Friday afternoon when they got that done and he even got a plumber they work with to come fix the leak so that we could turn the house water back on. Our situation is such that we needed to be able to stay in our house if at all possible. I highly recommend Five Star Disaster mitigation.
I am currently working with Cody to get the repair process started. He has also answered all of my questions and is very pleasant to work with, as well.

Update:
It's been 6 months to the day. I can happily say that restoration is finished.

Jennifer was the pro at handling negotiations with the insurance company. When the settlement came through, I had a question about one of the estimates that was not included in the settlement. Jennifer reached out to them and an additional check was in the mail that afternoon!
I started with project manager Alex. Josh and Justin did a great job putting in new drywall, texturizing, and painting the walls. I was able to update the color in the laundry room which made it really nice!
Choosing the right flooring was a bit tricky for me because of all kinds of different considerations I have. The project couldn't move forward until I made a decision. We were updating from carpet to a more maintainable solution. I reached out to Alex for advice. His suggestion was the answer that we needed. I was able to find beautiful flooring very quickly and within the budget I had.
Promotions were happening in the company at this point in time. Newly promoted project manager Joey and his assistant Justin seamlessly (at least on my end of things) took over the project. Within a couple of days they had their flooring subcontractor there to do measuring, etc. Terrin made quick work with prepping the floors. Even with it a four day holiday weekend, the flooring in two rooms was completely and ready for baseboards and finishing touches. Daniella came to get started on the baseboards and the final touch up painting, etc.
Due to chronic pain and limited mobility, I look at things that look fine now, but, might present a problem for me in the future. Yesterday, on the final day, I noticed something and mentioned it to Joey. He sent Justin right over. Justin and I figured out a solution that will make a difference for me and my effort to maintain the space now and in the future. Colby and Daniella got to work and knocked it out! Figuratively speaking, not literally!
Joey did a fantastic job as a project manager. Congratulations, Joey! Having a great team like you have, help the boss look even better.

Amazing service! We had an indoor plumbing leak, and they responded within an hour, and had the house beginning to be dried out immediately after that. Very professional staff- Highly recommend!

I would like to take this opportunity to give 5 stars review to a great bunch of guys when we had our own feasted. A huge limb came out of our tree and struck our garage. Joey, Drayke and Alex all came out and sawed up the limb and hawled it away but they have everyone lined up to do the repairs. Thank you again 5 star

From start to finish Five Star was a professional, thorough and reliable. They were able to repair and finish the job on an efficient timeline, they were great with communications, they always showed up when they said they would, and they did what they agreed to do and even a bit more. It was so easy to work with Cody, Drayke and Joey. They and every worker were friendly and respectful of our home. I highly recommend Five Star.

After a fire at my house made it uninhabitable Five Star was recommended to me for the repairs. I was impressed with their reputation. After meeting with the staff I found them to be professional and good to work with. When work started I was unable to go to my house. To keep me up to date Joey, Project manager. called, sent pictures, and samples of materials.

They mean well, but you have to keep an eye on them. Not the sharpest tools in the toolbox. They left an 89-year-old woman with no place to bathe for a *month* because they put a temporarily removed toilet in the bathtub of the only functional bathroom in the house. They could have just carried it a few more feet to the garage. It would have been longer except family came and asked them to move it. They also mudded in the access to the sewer clean-out pipe. We had to cut a hole and make a cover to make it accessible again.

Just finished with Five Star Disaster side. This far, the service exceeded my expectations. Braden and his crew were professional, on time, communicative, and always cleaned up after themselves. I highly recommend this company for water damage. Now off to their repair side. I’ll report that after those are completed.

Joey, Cody, Drayke and all their teams were very considerate and efficient in getting our work done: everything is as good as new!

My first thought as I was standing in an inch plus of water flooding my basement was, "OMG, my shop vac isn't going to be able to handle this!". My first call for help produced the phone number of Five Star Disaster Services. In less than an hour after calling, Drayke, Mitigation Project Mgr. arrived, began assessing the situation and his team began arriving with all necessary equipment to handle the job. Water was pumped out. Walls opened up to expose potential water. Carpet was lifted and water soaked padding was removed, etc. Then about 2 dozen fans were positioned to dry out everything, 24 hours for 6 to 7 days.
Then Amy, Sr. Estimator/Office Mgr., took over. She successfully negotiated with my Insurance Company to settle up on the Mitigation costs and than reached an agreed dollar amount to do the repair work. This required some effort, but she prevailed on my behalf.
Jake, Repair Project Mgr., then took over. He and his Re-build team are really, really fantastic. They restored my basement so that there is no evidence of the damage caused by the failed water heater. Justin and Josh are to be commended for their skill in rebuilding the walls. They are definitely professional.
Bottom line. Five Star lived up to their "From Start to Finish" claim.

Wow! Being away from my home for 5 days, I returned to a failed fresh water toilet connector in upstairs bathroom. 3 rooms and garage were flooded. Alex and crew came within an hour to begin the cleanup. In 2 days they had all flooring/carpeting pulled up, drywall cut and removed. 18 fans dried out the rooms. All of this was completed in 4 days. Hats off to every crew member- they were a kind, respectful, hard working group. I would highly recommend this company and look forward to working with them in the restoration process.

The water damage to the ceiling and walls of my laundry room was a disaster. The entire Five Star team worked quickly and professionally to mitigate and repair the damage. I’m.very grateful to Jennifer Underwood and Amy Hafen for their time consuming work with my insurance company. The mitigation manager Drake Weeks and his team worked very quickly and efficiently to locate and alleviate the water damage. Then the repair manager Joey Barnhart began the repair process. The crew that he assembled for the various stages of restoration were professional and worked quickly. Recently we had a leak in a closet in our home. It caused a great deal of damage. Five Star Restoration, under the leadership of Joey Earnhardt, was there immediately! They completed each task...plumbing, dry wall, painting, insulation, carpet stretching and shampooing! The help was expert and above all friendly and very conscious of our privacy and care of our pets. I would highly recommend Five Star to any and all! They are great!!!

Five Star has been an excellent company to work with. We called them in the middle of the night when a drunk driver drove into our house. Not only did they promptly respond, but someone came over within thirty minutes to board everything up for us. It was freezing outside, so that was greatly appreciated.

We primarily worked with Joey. He worked hard to stay on top of things, communicated well, and kept us posted on what to expect at each stage of the project. It’s now finished and it looks amazing!

Do to heavy rains and poor workmanship by our roofers, we suffered major water damage to our master bedroom and bath. wet insulation, damaged carpets and flooring as well as a doorway and interior wall.
In a panic, we placed a call to a couple of companies the next (Saturday) morning. The other company has still not returned our call. Five Star answered our call and were here in fifteen minutes. Amazing but one of their people was here that quick to evaluate the damage and bring in the crew to immediately stop further damage and start the process of drying out the area of damage.
Based on their service and professionalism, we engaged them to repair and remodel the damaged rooms.
We met with Cody and his team to discuss what we wanted to do and how we would use this event to upgrade the rooms. We were introduced to our project manager Joey Barnhardt who would prove to be extremely organized and detail oriented. Joey put together a game plan and coordinated the many who worked on our home and the contractors that put our house back together and upgraded our rooms.
The workers and the contractors were friendly and made all the efforts to keep our home clean during the project. At the end of each day they cleaned up and left our home the way they found it.
We had painters, carpet and flooring experts, plumber, countertop professionals, a fantastic tiler and carpenters to replace baseboards and install two barn doors. Joey kept the project moving forward and alerted us to each days activities. He answered all of our questions and provided options and suggestions.
In addition we want to thank the front office staff who worked with us and our insurance company on this project, they were extremely helpful.
We certainly hope to never have a major event happen to our home again. However if it does, we know that Five Star is just a phone call away!

Just after Christmas, my home had extensive water damage because of a separated second-floor frozen fitting, which discharged over 1000 gallons of water, saturating three 1st-floor rooms, the basement, and most of its contents.

In short, I called 5 Star, who came that afternoon, quickly assessed the priority of work, and spent over three weeks removing layers of materials from a number of the ceiling and walls of a 140-year-old updated historic home. They meticulously cleaned, removed, and carefully packed well north of 100 large boxes of the house's contents and safely stored them to prevent and mitigate mold, mildew, and a host of other water-related issues.

Even with the devastation the water caused to the walls, ceilings, wooden floors, and unique contents, Drayke, Raul, and the owner, Anthony, performed a superlative job walking me through the entire process. They continually kept me abreast of the best course of action to not compromise my house's structural integrity.

Why go into so much detail about their service in a simple review? Because they respected me as an owner and cared about my house as much as I did.

Excellent communication with each step. They arrived on time and left a clean work area. Extra steps were done to make sure home functioning was available during the clean up. The work was done right and looks beautiful. I will choose them again in the future!

My mother's house had water damage from a leaky icemaker hose. We had no idea how long it had been leaking but by the time we realized it, mold had grown under the flooring and cabinets and walls, etc. We contacted Five Star Disaster Services to check it out. We are so glad we did! They were able to check the moisture in the flooring to determine if there could be mold growing.Then they were able to get the mold cleaned up and and everything put back to such perfection! You would never know there had been any water/mold issues.

Joey Barnhart was an excellent leader for the Five Star staff. He always notified us when the workers would be arriving and always communicated with us about materials being ordered or delivered. He kept us apprised of where we were at during the whole process. My sister, who lived with my mother, passed away during this time. Joey was so considerate and thoughtful. He even brought flowers to my mother and postponed the workers for that day. He was always so polite and professional. It was our pleasure to deal with him and the other Five Star staff. They all are excellent crafstmen! Thank you Five Star Disaster Services! We hope never to have another disaster, but we will call you again if we ever do!

They performed great responding to our flood in removing water and making sure things didn’t mold, unfortunately several people told me not to use them because this is what they do they tear everything out and leave you for months without anything, that’s exactly what they did, we are trying to run two businesses without a restroom since January 20 22 , Insurance has already paid them $50,000 and I still don’t have a bathroom or a back room for our business , we’re losing business every day we wish we would’ve hired someone else, our insurance adjuster is also discourage

These guys made my crawlspace look new again. Flooding had made all my insulation fall and my vapor barrier a mess, I was considering doing the cleanup myself, but Five Star did in a morning what would have taken me weeks, well worth it.

I was out of town when water damage was found in my home. I called 5 star and they came out right away to help. They cleaned the water damage up in no time. Unfortunately the whole process of fixing the damage was another story...but they were amazing helping me along the way working with my insurance company and getting me what I needed to put my house back. Loved everyone I worked with there! Great people!!!

Unfortunately, I have utilized Five Star's services numerous times, but fortunately they are an outstanding company. They are professional, timely, and provide quality work. The employees are friendly and hardworking, and communicate with the customer at all times, so the homeowners know where in the process they are. They get the job done quickly, without ever cutting corners. The best part is they take on the responsibility of dealing with the insurance company so you know you are getting as much coverage as possible. This company definitely goes to bat for the customer. Five Star took care of us during one of our worst homeowner experiences. A vehicle drove into our kitchen late one Friday night. The Five Star crew arrived in about half an hour, and they cleaned up the mess and secured our home in about 2.5 hours. It was truly amazing, and I am so thankful for their professionalism, their speed, and their thoroughness.
