Bobby and Justin did a great job of working with my home owner's insurance to almost completely cover the cost of replacing my roof and siding after the tornado went through in April. They also gave me a great deal on repairing rotten wood that was under the siding due to the original home builder not using waterproofing material and proper flashing on the siding when the home was originally built. The team of guys were very hard workers and got the job done quickly but thoroughly. The finished work looks amazing and I've gotten several compliments about how good it looks now that it's done. I'm very happy with the finished product.

John Haley was an excellent project manager! He went above and beyond in helping us with our insurance claim for house damage from the December tornado and followed through while the repairs were being done. The contracted companies performed excellent work. We are pleased. Highly recommend!

I would give them 10 stars if I could! We unfortunately suffered a total loss house fire and faced a complete rebuild. We went through the process of vetting many construction companies but none made us feel as heard or prioritized like Fessler. Mark himself would frequently check in on our project, reaching out to me directly and going out of his way to send me the greatest variety of samples and prospects for the rebuild. He never rushed me in my decisions and skillfully helped me choose the most aesthetic aspects for the rebuild. The team was so kind and understanding of the tragedy that had previously occurred and kept their word in restoring the home to better than it was before the fire. Mark hits the “mark” when it comes to his team. They continually went above and beyond what they were asked of for our project. The little things added up. Our realtor and insurance team were in UTTER AMAZEMENT at how well the house was “put back together” from roof to floor. QUALITY WORK is so hard to come by and i could not recommend this company more!

At first our experience started off good. Greg came to our house to speak with us and to get designs in place so he could quote us for a roof over our patio and a fireplace. Greg was professional and very friendly. He was very responsive with each text and phone call. When he called to give me a quote over the phone he told me several times that he likes to shoot high so there are no surprises at the end. He told me that our roof would be between 22,000-24,000. Then he said just count on 25,000 but as long as nothing is added then we would come in under 25,000. The fireplace was quoted at 15,000. We were 5 days from materials being delivered and I still had not received anything on paper with a breakdown of charges. I then meet Greg at my house to get the contract to find out that he is only supplying me with an invoice. Still no written quote or contract but an invoice. Also I am being charged 25000.00 for the roof but we had removed 3 post from the original quote... doesn't make sense to pay more for less. Then the invoice stated 25,000.00 for the fireplace... I was quoted 15,000.00. So when I questioned Greg he didn't seem to recall that he quoted me 15,000.00. He pulled his notes out and you can clearly see he wrote a 2 over the 1 on his quote. He stated he would get back with me. After he had left I sent him a picture of my notes that I written down the day he gave me the quotes over the phone. He never responded.This was on Friday, so Monday around 1pm I text Greg and asked if he had any updates. He wasn't quick on responding like he had all the times prior to this issue. He finally called me and said the best he can do is to eat 8,000 and I would still be responsible for 42,000. As I ask him questions he continues to cut me off while speaking and was not friendly like he was prior to the issue. He kept stating that we could cancel and he would eat the permit cost. He couldn't answer my questions on why my the invoice was higher than the quote.. He also stated it was a misunderstanding and a mistake on his end which would of cost me thousands of dollars if we wanted to proceed with this project. Please be aware that your quote is not a true quote. I would not want this to happen to someone else as this was a complete waste of our time. Be leery of companies who will not put things in writing.

We had water damage in 2020. Fessler Home Improvement helped us get our floors done quickly due to company coming from out of state. Unfortunately, we started having issues with our flooring separating. Fessler responded quickly to attempt to fix the floors. We met with them to look at the floors and they agreed they needed to make it right so they re-installed a brand new floor and they look amazing. We are so pleased with the response and professionalism we received from Fessler Home Improvement. Thank you so much!

Fessler Home Improvement and Construction came to Panama City, Florida immediately after Hurricane Michael in October 2018. It was a CAT 5 hurricane, so the damage was immense. Mark Fessler and his team bailed out most of the people in our community. With so many houses in our city and community badly damaged from the hurricane, my wife and I were at a loss on how to get our home repaired. We interviewed many contractors. Some were very questionable, some seemed fine. However, once we met Mark, we felt like we found a friend who would get us back on track. Mark is a no pressure guy. He gave us time to make a decision. Mark and his team ended up taking on most of the houses in our community. His crews were punctual, did great work and cleaned up after. With so many houses with damage worse than ours, we were able to be patient. Mark and crew were pulled all over our community. But, we never felt forgotten or abandoned. Mark is a man of his word. Our house is problem free after their work. While I certainly hope we never have a hurricane of any magnitude, I could only hope Fessler Home Improvement and Construction will come back here!! After Hurricane Michael we were truly lost as to how we would navigate through the mind numbing steps to get our home back to pre storm condition. We talked with numerous contractors, almost all who came off as smarmy and disingenuous about their desire to help them came Mark Fessler and his team. The builder of our home and entire Developement chose mark and his team to redo the model homes which meant they were up to the task of repairing our almost brand new home. It was a process and one I would not wish on anyone but having Mark, who personally spent months away from his family to help rebuild our community I say without hesitation he would be the guy and the company I would recommend. He was available through holidays, threats of new storms and after a year we were back to new(many in our community still have not gotten a contractor to start work almost 2 years later). His crews were polite and friendly and became part our community. He helped us understand the insurance and never pressured us to pay in advance if work being done. He was patient and mindful of the trauma we had all experienced. FIVE STARS!!

In October 2018, Hurricane Michael hit Panama City, FL and the surrounding areas. It was a Category 5 hurricane. After assessing the damage and meeting with multiple contractors, we decided to work with Mark Fessler and his team to repair the damages to our home.

Mark was extremely compassionate and kind regarding the situation. The city was facing massive destruction from the storm and families were waiting months, if not longer, to get contractors to start repairing their houses. Mark was able to start repairs on our home right away and he and his crew worked tirelessly on our home, as well as other homes in our neighborhood, to get the work done as quickly as possible.

His crew was wonderful. They always had a smile on their face, always willing to give my kids a high five. And would offer (on their own time) to help repair small things they saw in our house that were caused by other workers (thank you Carlos!). I was confident in Mark and his team's ability from the start and continued to be impressed with them throughout the process.

It has been two years and I have heard from other families who used different contractors that they are experiencing roof leaks among other problems. Our home is like new, thanks to Mark. Not only did Mark provide impeccable repairs to our home, but he was also a present and positive force in our neighborhood during a very difficult time for our community. My children saw his truck and knew it was him. Families were not just clients, they were names to him that he knew. I am extremely grateful to Mark and his team, and could not emphasize enough how highly I recommend him.

Mark and his team were a godsend after Hurricane Michael. I was having trouble finding a roofing contractor, and then Mark showed up. We had a new roof on our home a week before Christmas 2018. While our home had no structural damage, we had a lot of water damage, and the mold removal company had to gut nearly half of our home. Fessler Home Improvements came in once we were all dried out, and began replacing insulation, repairing drywall, trim, windows and more; their work was excellent, and all of their various crews were extremely professional and courteous. The workmanship was even better than the original construction and we're very happy with the results. Our repairs were finished by the end of March 2019 save for the tile backsplash in the kitchen which took time because of supply problems. (Imagine thousands of houses in your town all needing repairs at once!) If we lived in Murfreesboro, there would never be another company we'd depend on for home and roofing repairs other than Fessler. Thanks, Mark and everyone else for getting us back to normal so quickly!

Mark Fessler, his supervisors and his crews are outstanding skilled workers who are dedicated to getting the job done correctly. After Hurricane Michael, one of only four Category 5 hurricanes in recorded U.S. history, decimated our region and specifically our hometown of Panama City, Florida, in October 2018, Mark and his crews rode in like the Cavalry with only one objective: to help as many people as possible without regard to the massive amount of man hours or the amount of time away from their families that would require. After quickly assessing the monumental task, Mark brought in highly skilled workers in each profession -- roofers, drywallers, painters, framers, siding hangers and other craftsmen -- and they got to work putting our community back together ... in many cases better than before. There are hundreds of us in Panama City who owe Mark and his entire staff a debt of gratitude we cannot repay. Mark is an extremely compassionate people person. GREAT JOB ALL!

When our home was damaged by Hurricane Michael, we were pleased to hire Fessler Home to take care of the repairs and help us communicate effectively with the insurance adjusters. Mark was honest and made sure to address all of our concerns. His team made our house a home again relatively quickly too! We hired Fessler Home Improvement to handle the renovations on our home after Hurricane Michael caused some damage. We worked directly with Mark Fessler, president of the company, throughout the entire process. Mark was always professional and responsive, but we also appreciated his honesty and integrity. The quality of the work was dependent on the laborers that he brought in. The roof was handled by his employees, and they did a good job. Drywall and painting was done by subs that he hired locally, and quality was hit and miss. In fairness, we live in Panama City, FL and Fessler is from Tennessee. There was a scramble by all contractors to find good, quality workers in our area after the hurricane, so some of that was out of Fessler control. But I like that Mark brought down many of his own workers and put them up in rental homes while working in our community. He was better able to control the quality of the work with his own people onsite. In summary, I recommend Mark Fessler and Fessler Home Improvement. They did everything they promised and did it well.

Fessler Home Improvement was a true godsend after the devastation of Hurricane Michael. While I was on a year long tour to Pakistan my wife moved our 3 kids into our freshly built house 10 days before Hurricane Michael hit. We had no idea what to do or what contractor to find to repair our damage and mitigate any further damage due to mold. In walked Mark and his team into our lives! I cant speak highly enough of their professionalism and patience as we dealt with the long process of working with our insurance to make sure our house was properly repaired. We cant begin to explain how great it was working with Mark. He and his team went above and beyond to make sure that the process was as stress free as possible. They worked very hard to get us back into our house as soon as possible and they made sure that our repairs were as perfect as when the house was first built. I could write a full book on how great it was working with Fessler Home Improvement. Mark truly went out of his way to make sure we were treated as one of his family and we are very appreciative of that. As a military member that has moved to different locations 4 times now, it was very reassuring to know that there are people out there still empathetic to complete stranger's struggles and hardships. Fessler took our struggles into consideration during the whole process and made sure that there would be zero stress coming from him and his team! I would recommend this company to anyone looking for any kind of home repair. You will be taken care of like family by truly honest people. Mark is the man and will forever be our Hero!

I was very lucky to contract Mark Fessler to help me get my condo repaired and gather the cost of repairs to submit to my insurance company. It was a very difficult time for me personally and I live out of state. I was very dependent on Mark to make decisions for me and coordinate all of the contractors. I'm an Architect, and I've worked with hundreds of contractors. I called John and Matt at Fessler, they responded immediately and their estimates we're right we're I wanted. I highly recommend Fessler Home Improvement. They worked on my house and I couldn't be more pleased with their crew, the quality of their work, and they followed the building code to the letter. We couldn't be happier that we went with Fessler. Our home received substantial damage in hurricane Michael. Despite our PA and insurance company dragging their feet, Fessler continues to put in excellent work. He has been nothing but professional, helpful, and understanding during this entire process. My only regret is not having found Fessler earlier so that we would not have needed to hire a PA in order to navigate the insurance claims process. The craftsmanship on our home is lovely despite the high volume of work his team picked up in the aftermath of the hurricane.

Unfortunately our experience has been extremely difficult. We initially went with Fessler Home Improvement due to initial impressions. The price point was initially spot-on (although when the original quote was written there was a $20,000 discrepancy between that and our initial conversation), and Jim was easy to speak with and presented a home improvement project that would include minimal efforts on our part (“all you need to do is pick out what you want at these stores and we’ll get them for you at contractor pricing. We’ll even pick it up from the store so that you don’t have to worry about delivery”). What we have experienced thus far has been less than what was advertised. We have run into several issues with scheduling (to be fair some of this was due to inclement weather), budget issues, and communication issues. I would not recommend them based off of my experiences, although I would like to express my gratitude to one of the workers, Manny, who was very patient and willing to accommodate our needs.

I've had multiple projects run by Fessler Construction and each of them have resulted in first class experiences. Jim Fessler is easy to work with, honest and straight forward. My most recent project was a roof replacement, project managed by John Haley. John made this project pain free and delivered on time service with great results. I recommend Fessler for any and all Construction, Roofing and/or Restoration projects.

I've read some of the reviews below and am surprised at the 1 star ratings. My experience was great. Fessler met with the insurance adjuster in case he had any questions, the insurance adjuster agreed to the repair work and cut us a check. We had to pay the deductible plus some adjustments for upgrades to shingles. There was great communication throughout via text. The job was complete in a day.
At the end, they came out with a magnet and walked through the yard and driveway to collect nails.

This company is one of the worst I’ve worked with in the Nashville area... I’ve waited quite sometime to post anything hoping something good would come out of the terrible experiences we’ve had but I have nothing more to do but hope people don’t use them and find someone else. They work with our HOA company. Not only has this company never come when they’ve said... they’ve gone back on their word in front of our board members about our home several times... their work is poor and now I’m on vacation writing this becuse I got a call from our neighbor stating they jumped our back gate when we were not home, leaving our gate open... for the next several days. Even though it was communicated to wait until we got home... They’ve worked on our home several times... one employee broke part of our HVAC while working on siding because he didn’t want to get his ladder out. That was almost a year ago and they haven’t come back to fix that yet! Although, we have communicated throughly with them on that specific issue. Mark seems kind but don’t trust him. Please find another company that won’t do this to you.

Poor communication, lack of attention to detail, amd poor craftsmanship. To start I want to say that in the six weeks that there was a hole in my ceiling, there were 2 weeks or so that the weather was so frigid it was unsafe for his subcontractors to come and do the work, so around 3.5 to be generous out of 6 weeks there were ample opportunities to do the work. Then after the 6 week window when a subcontractor came to close the hole, I was told that he would be back to finish the drywall because it needed to be sanded and repainted. The hole was closed on a Saturday and I went the entire week waiting for communication that he would come back to finish up as he also patched a portion of my living room wall that looked like 2 separate layers of drywall had come apart. He attributed this to cold weather. I'm not in construction so I would not know. I just knew it looked bad. Anyway during this time I was told he and his family had been out sick with the flu. Never once had I seen him do any of the work but he always sent out a subcontractor. I was also sick one of the two weeks he said he was. And I am 9 months pregnant. So having the paint dried and work complete was/is starting to become time sensitive as I am soon to have a newborn and don't want random people in and out of my house. I just want this to be over because I have been missing work, wasting my time waiting for people who would never show up and just being plain frustrated at the entire situation which is unhealthy for my pregnancy. Anywho, I had another issue where if I would use any appliance or flush any toilet in the house it would sound like a jackhammer under my whole house and shake really bad. So he told me on a Friday morning that someone would be out. No one shows. Then he calls on Saturday morning and says the same thing. No one shows. This is after me expressing my frustration of the false promises. At this point I am not really believing any thing he says. Then Monday someone actually shows up but he doesn't fix anything just says he will bring someone back. They show back up around 4 or 5pm and say they fix the issue. Two days later it is still doing the same thing. So it was actually not fixed at all. Then he calls for the last time before sending me insulting texts for posting this review to say that the guy will come to fix the last part of the drywall. I was so happy to be done. But he never showed and I ended up having to ask him not to contact me anymore.

This was the first home I have ever purchased. I feel like I should not have had to deal with any issues since I purchased this home newly remodeled for a quarter of a million dollars, but as a reasonable person I can accept that a thing or two might have to be addressed. Here is a list of all the issues I have had with this house:
-Leak that caused ceiling to have to be cut out
-Drawers were not completely installed
-Water pump or pipes under house shaking every time you flush or use appliances
-Flooring gaps
-Water was ran backwards (hot was cold, cold was hot)
-Lights did not work due to wirebox having an exposed wire touching something else.
-Cabinet siding not glued properly

I'm sure as I live here longer, as I have only been here 2 months, I am bound to find more issues due to the lack of attention to detail and poor craftsmanship this company produces. I wanted to share my personal experience to help others make an informed decision about their own homes. I can't find where to add pictures but I would be happy to share them if needed.

As a result of me sharing this experience I was sent a text by this man in which he tried to make me feel bad for sharing that this was a terrible experience for me and then he went on to attack my personal character. I hope this helps someone else to avoid a similar experience.

I do not recommend this company....especially for insurance claim repairs. They seemed great in the beginning! After a storm went through our area, they left a card in our door for storm damage repairs. We filed our insurance claim and then contacted Fessler. We approved Fesslers estimate. They asked for the money up front because of overhead. Being first time homeowners, we gave them the insurance checks not knowing that we were not supposed to per the direction of our insurance company. They repaired the roof and then loss all communication with us. We are still picking up nails out of our yard from roofing repairs. We have picked up handfuls of nails and we have dogs. Then, come to find out, we believe they billed the insurance company for repairs not completed and repairs that we did not approve. Our insurance overpaid by $1600+ according to my calculations. The deductible John said not to worry about was put in as an expense leaving us with owing over $1000. I wrote John a check to get him to leave us alone and to end the business relationship. Start to finish the entire process took close to 3 months. Now our painted roof pipes are peeling and it's been less than 3 months. John was just very uncomfortable to work with. He seemed to only communicate with us when they wanted to collect money. We felt left out of this process. There were several times I called the insurance company to see what was going on with our repairs. I used Rosa to make contact with John. However, his communication did improve after we would receive an additional insurance check. We should have never paid the amount we did and the insurance company should have been sent their refund if my calculations were correct.
Two other homes in our area also chose Fessler and had issues just like this while dealing with John. Our neighbor next to us even refused to deal with him any longer. They never had to pay any out of pocket, according to them.

**update: the response from owner is very inaccurate. I have verified with my neighbors (2 different homes) that they are very dissatisfied with the repairs. There were indeed billing errors that I brought up in our last meeting with John. For example, we were charged $250 for plumbing to replace the vinyl box around the faucet. After pointing out the uncompleted repairs, John agreed that the work was not performed but still billed half of the $250 since they had to work around it. The vinyl still has not been replaced around the said faucet or tiny window either. No, your crew did not have to work around electric services. We only have the tiny window and faucet to work around on that side. You are clearly looking at the wrong house documents. I spoke with our insurance agent who advised that asking for the money before the work is completed and not performing all work is contractor fraud.

Had our roof replaced by fessler, due to storm damage. We could not be more happy with the process from start to finish. Everything from the professionalism, cleaning the yard up after the work was done, and even color matching the vent pipes and electrical fixture on the roof to match the shingle. Nice touch. Thank you so much for taking care of us. What a great company!!!

We had a roof leak in the ice storm this past winter. We immediately called Fessler and within 30 mins time they had a crew member at my house up in the attic assessing the damage. They were able to clear the ice dam and stop the flow of water into my dining room. They brought in all sorts of equipment to contain the water damage. They worked directly with my insurance company. They had my house repainted and floor replaced in no time. It was a terrible situation that made me feel helpless. Fessler's team was kind and considerate and put us at ease. The were very careful in our house and did wonderful work. My house looks better than it did before. My friends recommended Fessler to me and I will pass their name to anyone needing or wanting any work done to their house. Because of the ease and quality of working with Fessler, we are now considering adding an outdoor living to our house.

Fessler Home Improvement helped me out start to finish. They were reliable in getting me quotes, meeting me at the house for estimates, and being on time for the renovation of my roof. Fessler Home Improvement was quick in the process, and I am thankful for the professionalism I experienced.

We were impressed with the overall professionalism of the company. The quality of their work is excellent, and their workers were always polite, pleasant, and worked diligently until the job was complete. They also did a great job cleaning up after the job was done. We have used Fessler for roofing (a large job), exterior and interior painting, and window replacement. They will get the first call whenever we need home improvement or repair work.

Mark helped us negotiate with our insurance to make sure all the damage was accounted for, and then repaired our home. The craftsman he sent were very professional and courteous. The home looked wonderful when complete and was finished ahead of schedule!

These guys do a really great job - not only can they get work done in a reasonable amount of time, but also when I had questions it was very easy to get someone on the phone to talk about it. I had a roof inspection recently and they informed me that there was very minor wear on my roof, but that replacement would not be necessary for some time. I'm really happy that they gave me an honest inspection and didn't try to up-sell me. When I do replace my roof, I know who I'm calling!

Fessler is great! We had them take a look at our roof for possible hail damage. They were very prompt. They had someone out the day we called to inspect it, even though it was snowing. Fessler is also very honest. They provided pictures and made an assessment that our roof did not actually need to be repaired or replaced. I'm sure many roofing companies would have told us to replace the roof even if it did not need it and for that we are very appreciative.

We were looking for a company to complete a whole house window installation for rental property in TN. We had recently taken over the property management for the rental and living in Colorado complicated our ability to find a reputable firm. We based on initial search on BBB rating for local companies. We found Fessler Home Improvement, completing an on-line request for a quote. We were contacted by Nick Granger and he was extremely helpful in providing a first rate quote and presentation as well as answering all our questions. We selected them based on the statement of work which was very detailed and the contract was well spelled out. The installation was completed as promised on schedule in the middle of winter with minimum disruption to the renters. Upon completion, Nick provided detailed pictures of the work and the renters was very pleased with how it looked and the professionalism of everyone involved. It was a pleasure to work with Fessler Home Improvement. We would utilize their services again.

When my home in Murfreesboro sustained water damage I turned to Fessler Home Improvement. I wanted someone who could do all the work. Nick Granger was a pleasure to work with. He dealt with the insurance company as well as oversaw every aspect of the job. He saved me money by not doing more then was needed but insured that all was done properly. He returned my calls quickly and made me feel that the job was as important to him as it was to me. When we redo our bathrooms Fessler is the company we will turn to.

I am an out-of-state homeowner who had storm damage to my rental property in Tennessee. I searched the internet for a good contractor who was capable of handling the extent of the damage and found Fessler Home Improvement.
I spoke by phone with a representative and decided to use this company.
my project manager was very professional and knowledgeable and put me at ease about having to work through this claim by long distance. He worked well with my tenant and property management company and kept me in the loop concerning the schedule of the work to be done and sent me pictures of the progress of the work.
This has proven to be a quality experience and was handled very professionally. I highly recommend Fessler Home Improvement based on my experience and plan to use them in the future.

my house needs alot of work, and I was almost embarrassed to have them come out and give me an estimate. Mark Fessler himself came over and within minutes, I felt extremely comfortable with him and I also felt a sense of calmness, because Mark made me feel like they would be able to take care of everything, no problem.
I've had a new roof put on before, I've had decks built, windows replaced and painting done but NEVER have I had a more courteous or more professional company doing any work on this house. Mark knew about EVERYTHING, too! I needed siding replaced where wood had rotted away, shingles replaced where a storm had blown them off and I have a long list of things to still repair and since Fessler's does EVERYTHING, I'll be seeing alot of them this summer. Honestly? I can't even remember the last time any company was this professional, courteous and told me EXACTLY what they were doing, without having to haggle over prices either.
Fessler's has financing, which rocks, and I can't believe I just now discovered them! As a woman, I guess I felt like certain companies came in and gave me the runaround and acted like they didn't care whether or not they got my business, as if it was just another job...Fessler's makes me feel as if they really care and WANT to do the job right and better than everyone else. And THEY DO.
I feel like I can finally get the house repaired the way it needs to be because FINALLY there's a company that has standards as high as mine are and with the most awesome employees, too! I think I'll invite them all to dinner when everything's done...: )

Fesslers Home Improvement completed a $100K+ floor to ceiling renovation of our law office is the historic area of downtown Nashville. The end result is beautiful- we get endless comment. Fesslers also replaced the flooring and completed various projects on my personal home which is currently on the market. The end result is beautiful and I have no doubt will help sell my home for top dollar quickly. Fesslers replaced my flooring while my I had my 2nd child that ended up in NICU unexpectedly. I couldn't be happier with my new roof and the service provided by Fessler. I interviewed a few other roofing companies prior to speaking with Jeff, the Project Manager with Fessler. I did not feel comfortable with the other roofers, but Jeff put me at ease and was honest and forthcoming about the project. I totally trust him and Fessler. The project was completed as promised and on schedule. The workers were polite and their cleanup was meticulous. Besides replacing my roof, gutters, and downspouts, Jeff corrected a problem with my garage that wasn't even listed in the contract. That was the clincher for me, I will return to Fessler for any future work needed on my home.
