We had our main roof and flat roof over an addition replaced on separate occasions. Afterwards, there were two separate instances of water intrusion which Etruscan diagnosed promptly and deterrmined they were due to other factors- not their work. No additional charges for either visit and they even applied a quick fix for one of them. Exemplary service!

Working with Shaun Payne and his crew was truly a wonderful experience. When we noticed that we had 3 small leaks in our house, we called Etruscan because we noticed they were constantly working in our area. Shaun came out the same day, physically went on the roof to inspect it, took photos and we were tarped the next day. This was in the Fall, 2024, and because of the cold weather, we had to wait until Spring, 2025, to have our roof and gutters replaced. However, all through the winter, the tarp held and we did not experience any further leaking. The crew was extremely professional, knowledgeable and thorough. If we had any questions, they were always very responsive and Shaun was always available and responsive, as well. Another plus is that they left our property in immaculate condition. We have been through a number of storms now and all is well. We would highly recommend them for all of their services!

Our old roof from 2021 completed by the prior homeowner was sloppy, haphazard and had area(s) that were leaking into our house. For a little bit more than the prior owner had paid for the hack job, we paid Etruscan to tear it off and start over.

Our previous roof was leaking, despite only being five years old and put on by the previous homeowner. After talking to our neighbors and friends, we decided to hire Etruscan.

We worked with salesperson Mario. He went onto the roof and crawled through the attic to identify the issues. He gave us the option to repair or get a new roof. We chose the new roof. No more leaks and the roof looks great!

Etruscan was a little more expensive than other quotes, but they are the most reliable. Their workers were great. Everyone was in Etruscan shirts and trucks, and they cleaned up our yard. A few months later, I wanted a small hole in our gutters patched (unrelated to the roof install) and Mario sent a crew the next day for free. They replaced that part of the gutter and didn't charge anything for it.

Carlos is fantastic. Timely and communicative with the consultation. Was able to diagnose the issue quickly and took the time to educate me on it. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and approachable in answering all of my questions. Saved me from costly roof ventilation modifications (which another company had recommended) with helpful general maintenance and monitoring tips for when Chicago has its cold snaps. Also took the time to show me the built in ventilation already present and visible on my roof. Highly recommend!

Etruscan / Todd is fantastic! We hired him to replace an entire cedar roof (on one property) and then replace slate tiles on another (historic) property. We found him to be transparent, communicative, competitively priced (he is not cheap but you get what you pay for on these things!) —- his guys are professional and do a good job cleaning up everyday. Best part is Todd personally checks in on the jobs so when you hire them, the guy you talk to for the quote is the guy coming by to check on the progress. I would recommend him all day long!!!!!

Extremely professional and courteous. They tore off and replaced 2 flat roofs on my house. They came and finished in two days. The roofs are beautiful. Ask for Mario, he’s very responsive. We had an incredible experience with Etruscan Roofing and Gutters and highly recommend them. We have a home from the 1920s with a cedar shake roof. Mario and his team were amazing from giving us a competitive quote, doing an amazing job, cleaning up every night and coming back to ensure everything was perfect. The quality of the workmanship and service were outstanding!

Ended up needing a full tear off and replacement on our roof in 2023. Had multiple companies come and provide us a quote. Mario from Etruscan was the only vendor that did a thorough inspection on the roof and in our attic before we even talked about had been going on. He came to me and said let me tell you why you have leaks in these areas without ever asking me what problems where we having. Appreciated his expertise and attention to detail. The estimate and explanation of the work were great. Mario was so patient as we decided on which shingles, etc. Was an easy choice to go with them. The crew was excellent as was the work and end result. Were they the cheapest - no. But you get what you pay for. Fast forward to this week and one of downspouts fell off our house (nothing Etruscan did as we didn’t have gutters or downspouts replaced). Mario had a crew out here same day and refused to let us pay for the work. I was floored. Highly recommend Etruscan (they had been highly recommended to us too).

The estimate was higher than most but I trusted the reviews and Todd was communicative and clear. The team worked in the rain which was surprising, but they did quick work.

The actual gutters look nice, but some cuts are not as clean as I hoped and the gutter guards were not installed completely flush. They also left a small towel in the gutter that took me weeks to find which led to some overflow during the rainy season.

Edit: Todd followed up right away and came out quickly to review the issues. His team came a few weeks later and addressed the issues in a few hours. Leaving the 4 stars since they do good work but seem incredibly busy, at a detriment to their scheduling accuracy and first round quality.

They used high quality materials and have workers who genuinely care about your property while on site. I would recommend Etruscan for any work on your home in the areas we worked with them on. We have lived in our Evanston home for 53 years, so it is precious to us. Etruscan, from early communications to the reroofing of our home, was five-star excellent: Shaun and Mario both outstanding communicators and project managers; the roofing team beyond the expected beyond in skill, work ethic, punctuality, sustained effort ( 9 hours!), coordination ( no one, out of 5 guys, ever left a moment unfilled in serving the whole job; craftsmanship (our home has never looked better with great attention given to the «  tricky places . ». The follow up of Alex and his father to put in gutter guards was also excellent, sharing in all of thèse qualities. Etruscan merits its name, its connection to a history of great builders.

It all started 2 years ago when I noticed the Etruscan cars and trucks in the parking lot of my favorite big box store. Fast forward and I had some damage that received good survey, friendly patching work to help me out during a stormy season, a reasonable and equitable quote and the end results great work follow up and care to details.

Not everything went to plan for the Etruscan team and it took a second visit and a rework of a solution along with working with masoners to put a solid weather tolerant and cosmetically functional solution in place. The fact that there were complications and the potential for stress on everybody's plate, it was incredibly absent of that and I was impressed with the meaning of standing behind somebody's work along with serious honesty and good vibe that came about.

Added bonuses was a good senior team member Mario, the friendly with a smile customer service team on the only two occasions I need to call them, and great documentation and demonstrated standing behind their warranty of work all added up with a lot of Peace of mind.

Shaun at Etruscan was really great about our rather complicated mess of a roof replacement. He took so many photos and video to show us just how bad things were (the previous "tear off replacement" turned out to be a complete sham (in 2006). It was a miracle our roof had not caved in from snow and ice in the next 15 yrs -- but it was in terrible, rotting shape after ice and snow damage compounded the (now discovered) terrible install by the previous company.

We were fighting with insurance so we had to get a few estimates. Not only were they the most detailed, precise about the brands and materials needed and potential unforeseen things that could change the estimate, but it was very competitive, which we were relieved to see, because we really wanted to hire this team.They've done a beautiful job on nearly every home around and certainly in the area.

They alerted us to some ventilation and insulation issues, (with photos)referred us to a fair and professional team for that to be done, and made some other referrals for things that came up tangentally to the roof project. We had a lower, upper and addition sections to our roof(s). We had different ventilation needs for different parts. A big skylight was 'toast' and was swiftly replaced. Copper flashing is on the chimney. Most impressive, is once they started, boy that team got up there and moved like fast spiders all over getting the bad torn out, the replacements put in place, the protection etc and 25+ sheets of new insulation and plywood and well you get the idea. They finished one part on day one, and somehow, the rest on day 2.

We had lost trust in contractors due to some really bad experiences, and he was so patient answering questions and keeping us informed along the way. It was such a stressful, messy, complicated project and we are certain if we had been with anyone else it would have been a nightmare.

Our new roof was immediately tested by really bad rainstorms for two days between day one and day 2, and since. We are sooo relieved, no more leaks, no more issues. We owe it to their professionalism and quality work. Highly recommend.
