I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Estes Roofing. We've worked with them twice in the past year. We had water coming into our kitchen. Estes Roofing was able to work with us through American Home Shield. They were on time, wonderful to talk to, explained what they needed to do, and gave us a perfect picture of how everything was going to happen with both the job and American Home Shield.

Recently, we had another leak from a heavy rain come in from our chimney. We requested to work with them again. They came out and patched what needed to be patched all within the remaining deductible.

I love knowing I have honest contractors I can call, and I will make sure they are our first phone call when we need roofing work.

Called Estes Roofing after we sprung a leak in our roof. They were prompt in coming out to give me a free estimate, and worked hard in order to get the parts they needed to fix my issue ahead of Tropical Storm Ophelia rolling in. I can't say enough about their professionalism and commitment to seeing the job through, and I'm looking forward to working with them again in the future.

Stephanie and Leonard were great. Our project wasn't a big one--getting chimney caps onto 2 chimneys, but time was of the essence as the job needed to be done in a couple of weeks as the house was under contract. And in the hot July weather, with storms coming up often, you can lose time due to weather constraints.

I felt confident that they were going to put the correct attachments onto the chimneys (because some people will make do or not even share that there is a concern) as they kept me abreast of parts being ordered and that potentially something might have to be special ordered. And they told me upfront that mortar might have to be added due to the age of one of the chimneys and accounted for this additional time in their original work order/contract. The completed jobs looked good, and they provided the promised pics b/c you can't always see the details of the roof from the ground so it's good to have those. And it's nice to have timely pics to ensure that the job was done correctly.

Stephanie was touching base everyday she had promised something was going to be completed. And she kept her word. Oftentimes these communication promises or all the extras (to be done) aren't done as promised. To me, keeping your word even about getting back with someone means a lot. Stephanie also worked late to make sure I was able to get the contract and get it signed so that the work could begin promptly. There was a lot of touch-base between Stephanie and myself, and she was a real pleasure to work with on the project.

I was very pleased with the whole process. And I don't give out my praise lightly. And it's rare that I do a review. And maybe I made this one too long.

Estes roofing was recommended to me through American home shield and I couldn't be happier. Leonard was responsive and professional. The work he did was great and I haven't had any issues since. I will definitely hire them again if I need it! (Hopefully I won't though ;))

Had a great experience having Estes restore our chimney! From start to finish, they were very professional, beginning with very detailed estimate, continued correspondence via email, timely start to the project, and quick completion. Leonard did a great, professional job adding 3 caps and completely restoring the flashing around the chimney. Finished in 2 days and stayed late in the day to complete the job in a timely manner (when temps were in the mid-90s!). Stephanie was easy to work with and all payments were easily made via PayPal, eliminating paper invoicing and checks! Would definitely recommend for your roofing needs!

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
