Couldn't be happier with the whole process of having my flat EPDM roof repaired after it was damaged in a windstorm. The whole process, which included some interaction with insurance, a temporary fix during a particularly busy time for the company, etc., went smoothly from getting the bid to having the final work done. I especially appreciate the timely communication throughout.

Recent high winds took several patches of shingles off our roof. Earhart Roofing got us on a wait list and quickly got the job done. They were professional, did a great patch job on all spots and were reasonably priced. With all the recent storm damage I appreciated the fast, responsive and professional service.

Just bought a house this last summer and the roof was definitely on the list of things that needed to get updated sooner than later. The plan was to update it this coming summer 2025 ( have been in communication with Earhart and had a quote). However, with the crazy weather we have been having I have had to get patches put in. This last windstorm took 1/3 of my shingles from the front side of my house. I was panicking. Earhart was able to come out essentially same day of call and I can’t even begin to explain how much relief I felt getting that phone call today. I so appreciate them. Looking forward to having my roof completely redone this summer so I can sleep peacefully haha.

Deceptive Trade Practices

They might be fine if you don’t need a roof job, if you do need it they are a bad bet. I booked a “summer” roof job in April, I was told it would be July. As the timeline slipped from the rain I was told various new dates. And the end of August I’m told “a little latter in September”, that sounds promising. Now at the end of September I’m told there are 40 more jobs ahead of me and we are well into winter.

Clearly they are signing up customers they have no ability to service and then failing to communicate real scheduling. It appears to be a business strategy because I don’t see how anyone could schedule so poorly. In our case this was a needed job that had to happen before it snowed.

If you can wait a few years from your appointment date they might be fine, otherwise keep looking.

I’m in the early stages of repairing a roof and Frank was able to give be solid information about what I need to do. Very knowledgeable.

Great company. Good communication and a fair price. Their work revealed a bunch of unforeseen problems that needed addressing, and they were good about communicating the issues and tackling the problems. I expected a much higher bill for the additional work, but the additional cost was very reasonable. High quality work. Polite crew. Great cleanup afterward.

Cannot speak on how good the work is as of yet because the rain has not come. Started this project July 2023 and just completed June 2024. 11 months but it was not the company's fault. Rained continually last summer delaying for everybody. My issue is with the process. Earhart does not communicate with their clients. Today is 19 June and I first received word from Earhart they were ready to complete my roof on 10 June while I was at work. Project was supposed to start on the 11th. 11th roles around and no crew from Earhart. I call around 9:30 AM to find out they are not coming that day because of rain chance. Asked for them to call when the decision would be made to come out. 12th roles around and about 9:30 I call again and they state the crew is enroute. Happy me. About an hour later I hear people climbing on the roof. Not so much as a hello we are here and about to start. Later that afternoon the noise stops and they leave. Again no word about what was completed and when to expect them again. Thursday the 13th they show up again (no call from me this time) and begin work. This time I saw them before the ladders came out and I went to talk. Talked for about 2-3 minutes with the first on scene and he stated they would be finishing off the replacement wood work and tiles that day. They left again without any word and they were not done laying the tiles. Still the only person I have talked to is that one person on the 13th and the receptionist when I call looking for information. Friday the 14th arrives and they complete the tile work but I see some issues I need to talk about. Saturday shows the company as open but there was no answer on the phone. I left two messages one describing how their worker pointed out a hole in a piece of wood and it would need to be replaced. I do a quick inspection and find one of the replacement boards has a hole all the way through it. Find it kind of silly to tell me a board has to be replaced because of a hole then replace one with a new board with a hole in it. Monday a representative from the company comes out and agrees with the issues I spotted and state a crew will come out to complete. Tuesday the 17th roles around and no crew comes out to finish the work. Wednesday the 19th a crew shows up and starts getting the work done. I know this because my wife let me know that I did not tell her they were coming which I had no clue if they were or not because they do not talk to their clients. Now I am sitting at work waiting for a call again to tell me if they are complete or not. Gutter replacement company is waiting to come do their part but cannot until the roofing company is complete. An expected three day job is on day nine.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Earhart Roofing Company Inc. for a roof replacement, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with their service. From the very beginning, they were incredibly easy to get ahold of and maintained excellent communication throughout the entire process.

The workers were not only professional and skilled but also polite and respectful. Their dedication to resolving any issues promptly and effectively was truly priceless. Earhart Roofing Company Inc. came highly recommended to me, and I am happy to pass on that recommendation to anyone in need of roofing services.

Contacted them to shovel snow off roof and get pics of roofing beneath for insurance company. Workers were efficient and polite, showed me the photos and assured me that the insurance company could get them from the roofer directly.

After several days of office staff telling me "We'll try to find them (the pictures) for you", I called back after 10 days of waiting to insist I get the pictures I paid for. The owner called me back, upset with my insistence, and explained that photos are not a service that they offer, there was nothing about photos in the work order, and that the $450 I paid them was just for shoveling and not photos, and hung up the phone on me.

I know the photos exist. They were the whole point of the service call, but Earhart Roofing Company refuses to give them to me. $450 wasted simply because the owner won't do this simple thing. Recommend finding someone more reasonable, like Holland Roofing.

Update: Photos were provided but several days too late, after I'd hired a replacement. If James had apologized I would have changed this review, but he did not.

Yeah not impressed with a driver. Roads are bad, got a spare tire on my car right now. Someone was taking up two lanes and not being mindful. I get to the red light and the weirdo is trying to talk to me through his window commenting on my driving…whoever wants to use this company good luck, because whoever I had the misfortune of running into this morning seems to be childish.

Absolutely the best roofing company in Alaska. Professional, timely, efficient. I can't say enough about this company. They made my house look brand new.

Can’t recommend enough! Our neighbors recommended them because they had a great experience with this roofing company. They were super easy to work with, and easy to get a hold of for questions. For sure the best value and were very honest about the work that needed to be done. We would 100% recommend them!

Absolutely a fantastic experience and our roof looks totally awesome! Mike and Frank were wonderful to work with and the installation crew were very respectful and made sure the cleanup was completely taken care of. We definitely recommend Earhart Roofing to anyone considering a roof replacement.

I came home the other day to water leaking into my home from an ice dam on the roof. I called around to 4 other gutter/roofing companies and was told that the soonest anyone could get out to help was in a week. Earhart was very helpful on the phone, put me on a cancellation list for the same day and told me that worst case a crew could head out the following day. I was ecstatic when a two-man crew called saying they were on their way a few hours later. I feel like the price was more than reasonable for the service performed and will definitely recommend Earhart to others.

I don't often leave reviews but these guys need to change their business practices. They supposedly said that they have a mantra telling people they don't do free estimates and that a roof repair costs $375. I had already told them I needed a cricket and another quality company had told me for free that I needed a cricket and a metal top to the chimney. After waiting for over a month, I had already found a company to correct the issue for free. These people came out while I wasn't home and went on my roof and supposedly "fixed" a already done issue. They sent me no proof. But they sent their bill anyways. When I mearly suggested they look at the backwards way they do business and how this mantra wasn'tentipned to me, they didn't offer any remorse for their mistake. Issue is actually already repaired. They offered no apology. No discount. I shared with them that my five kids were home with COVID and their customer service was so poor. They were sarcastic with me and insulting. I will never use them or talk about them in a positive manner. People like this and businesses like this offer little hope for humanity. I hope they find.

We needed our Roof Completely redone and chose Earhart to do the job. Glad we did. They were on time, got straight to work, professional, cleaned up after themselves, response time was perfect and they did an all around AMAZING job! We couldn't be more happier with the job they did! Definitely recommend!

Earhart recurrently installed a tar and gravel roof for me and also installed a shingle roof a few years back. I received quality prompt service both times. 100% would use this company again for my roofing needs.

Earhart does quality work at a reasonable price and they stand behind their product. We had some concerns about a small section of completed work and they came out and made it right.

Had a great experience - they patched my roof last year and replaced it this year. The guys who came were super respectful and made quick work of replacing the roof. Customer service was great, especially considering my card issues. Very patient and understanding, which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for roof work.

I did not use this contractor so I cannot speak to their work quality but I called to schedule an estimate for my small cabin in Girdwood and they told me it would be $500 for the drive, requirement of two guys on site who run $85/each and that is just for the estimate. Same charge to drive out there again to actually fix it. Also tried to convince me I will have to replace my whole roof despite is being a metal roof and only 30 years old, everyone else told me metal roof should last me 40-70 years. Turns out its just a leaky gasket on my exhaust vent. I called two other places that dont charge for drive time, dont require two guy min to give an estimate and its probably $100 fix max. Felt a little like this company was trying to take advantage.

An easy one word; professional. We called a number of roofing companies for an estimate, some called back a few days later and only did a "drive by" estimate, some never called back, yet Earhart Roofing came out the next day, measured, checked the condition of the roof and provided a quote a couple days later.

On the day of installation the crew showed up as scheduled and the next day we had a completely new roof. The guys were friendly, professional, and dedicated to quality and completed their work on time. Without a doubt, the top roofing company in Anchorage.

These guys were so professional and easy to work with i almost couldnt believe it. I got a pre work call from the tech and they were done within the hour. I would recomend these guys to anybody in town.

We asked 3 companies did the estimate, they offered us the most competitive price and Estimator Mike showed up the next day...the whole process was so professional...I can not believe they sent us a whole team with 4 man completed the entire roof in one day, they worked so hard, did not take lunch break, did not waste any time at all, no talking, music...it really touched my heart, I burst into tears...I paid the entire bill the next day to show appreciation and love...I am an immigrant for almost 35 days, it reminded me when I was much younger working 2 jobs 7 days a week, bought my 1 home, following my American dream. I pray that everyone of us will help out each other in this planet, we can put our heart and soul into each job to touch someone's heart, helping each other.This will be a better world. Together, all of us has the power to make a difference .

Excellent service. Called to repair some wind damage, and they had a crew out in no time. Friendly staff, and great follow through. Will definitely use again, and recommend to anyone looking for a roofer.

Quick response to wind damamge repair call. Easy to deal with, reasonable priced. I would definetly give them my business in the future.

Needed someone to check the intake flue for my boiler to see if there was anything preventing it from getting any air. The guys that came out were awesome and extremely helpful but I do feel it is hard to justify $350 for 15 minutes of labor. Keep in mind they did have to drive from Anchorage to Eagle River but this is still far more than was expected. Also note that the gentlemen doing the work were NOT the ones dishing out the bill. As I am sure these guys do quality work, I unfortunately can not recommend this business because I do not trust the methodology used in charging their customers.
