Sam and his team did an excellent job on our roof replacement, and, as mentioned by other reviewers, his customer communication was excellent as well. He fully examined our re-roofing needs, and communicated his recommended plans clearly to us, which was a comprehensive assessment that included fixes to the roof ventilation system like moving vent placements of poorly placed vents for improved air circulation.

For our re-roofing job, we were also connecting with city staff for our PIP grant, so we had to submit documents and proposals and wait for approval. Sam's customer communications remained consistent and timely, from our first contact to our last contact before starting the job despite our delays, and he was equally great with scheduling.

We hired Dylan’s to re-roof our house along with some repairs and enhancements. We should note up front that we are very satisfied and happy with the result, as well as the process that got us there. All work was completed on budget and ahead of schedule. The roof looks good and functions well. You should expect as much from any reputable contractor, but there is more to the story.

We have a challenging house for a roofer; it is unconventional and requires thoughtful design for a new roof to perform better than the one it replaces and to be problem free. This is how we met Sam Andrade, the head man at Dylan’s. Neighbors of ours just had a roof replaced and liked the company that did it, so I contacted them. They said our project was beyond them and advised us to call Sam, so we did. In fact, we experienced a number of roofers who weren’t interested in even bidding on our job. Working with Sam and other pros he knows, we came up with a re-roofing design we all agreed would work. I say “we” because the entire project was an ongoing dialogue with Sam and his crew. Problems and design decisions were talked through, although Sam is a very good problem solver and has a good aesthetic sense on his own.

We believe the kind of open communication that characterized this extensive project from beginning to end was instrumental in contributing to a final product we all liked and were proud of. My wife and I both liked Sam and each member of his crew, all of whom were friendly and respectful, both to us and to each other. They also worked hard, quickly, and safely even as they carefully attended to doing quality work. They had the tools, equipment and materials they needed to do the job properly. We also appreciated that they cleaned up the whole work site before leaving for the day. Over the nearly five-week duration of the job, these “soft” qualities became increasingly noticeable and important. The only disgruntled character at our place was our cat.

In sum, Dylan’s took on a challenging job, engineered a workable plan, executed that plan well and finished ahead of schedule with smiles in tact. It was a truly positive experience working with Dylan’s (not always the case with contractors). We are pleased to sincerely recommend Dylan’s Quality Roofing and Construction most highly.
