Dryer Vent Wizard of Southern Tennessee

When I bought my new Cookeville home, I found the laundry room caked in dryer lint – a sign the previous dryer wasn't vented properly. My new dryer soon confirmed this, flashing error messages due to a clogged, crimped, and poorly routed ventilation duct that went straight through a crawl space vent opening. Jerry, the technician, arrived and quickly assessed the situation. He recommended replacing the entire ventilation system and relocating the exterior vent opening away from the crawl space vent. Jerry was friendly, incredibly informative, and patiently answered all my questions; I immediately felt I was in expert hands.

He worked efficiently, drilling a new foundation hole, replacing the entire ductwork, adding a self-closing exterior cover, and reconnecting the dryer. Since then, my dryer has run perfectly, with no error messages! Cycles are much faster, which means I'm saving both time and money. I chose Dryer Vent Wizard three years ago and since then they have come to my home on three occasions to clean my dryer vent. We have five beautiful dogs so you can imagine the hair in my dryer vents after a year of washing doggie blankets. I signed up for the annual plan which gets me 20% off of each annual visit and it was well worth it. Each time my tech comes over he is prompt, friendly, courteous, and professional. I also notice an immediate difference in my dryer performance which keeps it lasting longer and more efficiently. Basically, my annual cleaning saves me money because my dryer is not over-working or running. I know there's a lot of fly by night dryer vent companies out there, but go with the this one and you wont be disappointed by them. I know I'm very happy with them!

Although my dryer is only a few years old, I noticed that there was nothing coming out of the vent on the outside of the house when the dryer was running. I thought that was a little bit strange and since I had seen information that so many house fires are caused by clothes dryers, I called this company. Mike came out to inspect my clothes dryer, and the venting system. He took his time, was very thorough, and explained clearly what he was doing and why he was doing it. As he cleaned my dryer vents, there were actually charred/scorched pieces of dryer lint. That was pretty unsettling to me. He took my dryer apart, cleaned everything inside the dryer, the vent from both outside and inside, and then to finish, he vacuumed up all of the lint that had blown out into my yard. I was very very impressed by this young man and this company. I highly recommend them. Ask for Mike.

We have recently used this business to clean our dryer vent and to replace our defective roof vent. From the start Tommy, the owner, was very responsive, I wanted to know that these guys were knowledgeable and that I was getting a quality service, so I messaged him and then called him with a bunch of questions. Tommy was very patient and answered all of them. I also checked their reviews online and saw lots of positive feedback from customers who have used this business in the past, so I decided to give them a try and I am glad I did. When Mike, the technician, came out, he run some diagnostic tests to check the efficiency of our system, he also did a visual inspection of the entire line to see how many turns it had, and then provided me with his recommendation and a quote. We ended up getting bunch of things done during his visit: Mike cleaned our dryer vent, replaced the roof vent that was not opening and closing like it should which extended the drying time and made the clothes feel damp at times, and he also retaped the pipe along the seam for better air flow. Soon after we got all this work done, we noticed a change, it now takes less time for our clothes to dry. Mike was very detailed and explained everything he was doing to us. We are pleased with their work and plan on using them in the future.

My dryer was having issues for years and recently the flap on the outside vent broke off. Mike called to let me know he was on his way. Quickly inspected our dryer vent and installed an entirely new vent from outside wall to dryer. Our old vent was completely blocked and creating a fire hazard. I previously had issues with lint inside my laundry room but no more! Also my clothes are drying in half the time! Well worth it to have the right kind of set up. All repairs were complete within 2 hours. Mike was also very personable and explained everything thoroughly. Definitely highly recommend and price was reasonable.

He did an outstanding job of explaining things/educating me so that I could make informed decisions regarding my dryer vent line and other things that needed attention.. Unfortunately, in my 14-year old home, my vent line had too many turns, was not up to code; therefore, I made the decison for a portion of the vent line to be redone. Even though the overall expense was much greater than I had anticipated, when making the appointment, I feel very confident that the work was done in an excellent manner and that my vent line (and home) is now much safer!

Went above and beyond just simply cleaning the dryer vent.. they also installed something to help prevent clogs and ran a test on our dryer to make sure it wasn’t damaged from the clog. We hired Dryer Vent Wizard's to look at our dryer vents as we've noticed clothes still being damp after using the highest dryer settings. Jerry was on time and walked us through what he was checking and his suggestions. Had them out for annual dryer vent cleaning. They inspected and found all was good and we didn't need anything. To tell you nothing is needed seems rare these days. Everyone seems to find something. Obviously I trust them implicitly now.

When I found out my dryer's venting system was not up to code, I called Dryer Vent Wizard at the appliance repairman's suggestion. When Ray came out to look at the existing vent, he examined the crawl space, took a cell phone picture of the problem, proposed a simple and code-consistent solution, and installed an up-to-date vent, all within a couple of hours. Installing dryer vents is all this company does, and they are pros! The owner invented the system they use, and the materials are high quality and guaranteed to last. Ray even encouraged us to take the new venting with us if we ever move, and I can see why. After this one, I wouldn't want any other kind of dryer vent.

Very clean install of new dryer vent. Ray knew his stuff. Price was a little high but worth it. Parts used were quality.

The dryer was not drying the clothes completely. When the man from dryer vent wizard came he said it was the dryer venting. We agreed to have him redo the dryer venting under the house and out the side. that ended up not being the problem because we still had the same problem after he left. We did a load of clothes and they didn't dry completely. We thought his services were very expensive. Now we're working on the dryer and haven't found the problem yet. Don't want to call somebody else because we've already paid so much for the venting. We should not have had to pay the $39.95 for the service call since we had service done and he made money off of that.

Tommie Levi was the ultimate professional. He removed a messed up dryer vent system and replaced it with new hoses. He made sure everything was straight braced and sealed properly. He explained what he was going to look for before doing anything and then explained everything he had done when he was finished. He was also extremely clean. He had his vacuum going several times and the laundry room was as clean when he left as before he started. We would highly recommend him

Dryer Vent Wizard did an amazing job on our dryer. They were on time, explained everything they were doing, very professional and thorough. Didn't realize how inefficient our dryer had become. Ray from Dryer Wizard is fantastic. This is the second dryer vent (two different houses) that he’s repaired for us. The repair was top notch; he cleaned up after himself; and he explained everything that needed to be done and the price before he got started. I recently arranged for my 2nd inspection by Dryer Vent Wizard (1/18/21) and was pleasantly surprised when Ray Cappola knocked on our door. On 8/28/19, he provided our initial inspection, performed standard vent line cleaning, installed transition venting and a pest resistant cover. On this latest visit, it was obvious to me that the work that Ray had done previously continued to perform to his professional expectations. A standard vent line cleaning was all that was needed. Well pleased with their service. Arrived when indicated both times and good at calling to let you know they are on their way. Work was very professionally done. Our dryer now works better than it did when brand new just by redoing the dryer vent that had been installed improperly by another contractor. Very pleased and will use again and will recommend to others.

A bird got into our dryer vent. After a day or so we thought the lack of any more scratching and pecking meant the bird had managed to climb up and fly out. But the dryer was getting extraordinarily HOT, so knowing our vent cover was insufficient to keep pests out, we called DVWST to come and check everything out.

The bird had died inside the back of our dryer! We got Dryer Vent Wizard's top of the line Dual Flap vent cover so this will NEVER happen again. These folks are terrific.

Had them come out and inspect our dryer vent since the dryer would take 3 cycles to dry a load of laundry. He told us we had the worst type of hose and that it was severely clogged. After Tommy replaced the hose the dryer works like it's brand new. Can't say enough about the company and their people who are out here during this pandemic still making sure we are taken care of. Very difficult job due to enclosed space. I could not be more pleased with the service. They called before arriving on time and did a great job.

Tommy came and completely replaced our dryer vent line a few years ago. It was not to code and goes a long distance to be vented outside. He did and great, clean, neat, professional job. Naturally when I needed my vent cleaned, he was who we called. I'm now on the annual plan at quite a discount - AND - I don't have to remember to call, or wait too long.

We originally contacted this company to attach our dryer vent (one of the new oval connectors) and we decided to go ahead with the annual service plan. I feel secure that my house won't burn down because of a clogged vent. Ray does great in our book.

Ray was a true professional from the moment he walked in our home. He even pet our 3 annoyingly yippee dogs. Lol We’ve found through the years that the builder of our home cut a lot of corners and the dryer situation was no exception. We had a major clog in our lines so ray redid the whole thing using better materials and rerouted it to a place that made more sense. We will definitely be having dryer vent wizard come out yearly to clean our line. We highly recommend ray and his service.

A very professional service. The technician (Ray)arrived right on time. He was polite, dressed in a clean uniform, and got down to business. He accessed our dryer, and duct behind the dryer, and under our house. He provided me with a estimate of what the cost would be to complete the necessary work. Our dryer ducts were dirty and the duct under the house was strung haphazardly and was made of the wrong material. Ray suggested a different material for the duct and a shorter direction to run our duct under the house. He made sure his work area was clean and completed the work in the time period he estimated. My wife has used the dryer since the work was completed and our towels and clothes are now drying in half of what it took before. I would highly recommend Dryer Vent Wizard to anyone who finds their dryer not drying as it should.

Before it was taking at least two cycles to dry the clothes. After Ray came out and cleaned the vents the clothes now dry in one cycle. Because our dryer vent is so long and takes a few turns, we have decided to have it checked out annually. This is now one less thing that we need to worry about. Thanks Ray and DVW.

Tommy and his team came to our home to assist with a dryer vent issue. They took the time to identify what the true issue was and were very informative of what they found. The two gentlemen worked so hard to clean out my dryer vent which really had a bad blockage. They worked tirelessly and explained everything they were doing. We have a fifth wheel camper and purchased a dryer and washer. Although the camper had the washing machine connections roughed out, it did not have a vent system. I called five dryer companies and technicians asking if they could help me out before getting a hold of Tommy and crew. They came out and met me at my campground site and had the dryer ventilation drilled out and fitted within an hour. On top of that, they were nice enough to help me lift the 200lb washer into the camper and set it up! Call these guys! Courteous, professional and affordable.

Tommy and his partner were very polite and professional. I would highly recommend these two gentleman for any dryer vent project. They never complained about the dark damp crawl space filled with spiders.They really needed "combat pay" for the tough job they did for me. Wish there were more stars I could give them. They worked very hard and certainly were not lazy about doing their job and they did it correctly. I had another company place this dryer vent into my home and it was not done correctly (which was why it failed).
