Dave and Chris did an outstanding job transforming our home. Their workmanship was excellent, price was the most competitive and they stayed with the job until it was completed. They resided our home, installed new windows, and tended to many other small projects that presented themselves as the job progressed. Besides being totally pleased with their workmanship- I truly appreciated that Dave and Chris are respectful, thoughtful men who have an amazing work ethic. They are tidy during their work and always available by phone to answer questions. Always! They became family. Without hesitation I would recommend them. Two other homeowners in my neighborhood used them as well and are equally pleased. We highly recommend DC Contracting llc!

Dave and Chris were easy to work with and have a great work ethic. They did an impeccable job on our bath and kitchen renovation including expanding our eating area, adding beautiful triple French doors and new tile floors. They also built a stunning patio, fire pit and built in grill area. The scope of our project changed several times, for instance, we thought we wanted a small deck and a patio, but that changed to a larger patio with no deck. Dave and Chris were flexible with design changes along the way.

Our house is about 100 years old, so there were surprises along the way as there always are with old homes, but with every challenge we encountered, Dave and Chris always found a resolution that worked. Their prices are competitive and what you can't put a price on is that they were at our house when they said they would be, and did the work themselves. We can't wait to enjoy our new and improved home!

As your typical homeowner I started getting prices on a complete tear off and replacement on my deplorable 100yr old triple layer 2 story house roof. Having been in the trades for the past 30 yrs I still wasn't risking death to attempt it myself.

After numerous estimates I was surprised to learn that my house had grown from 25 square in size to sometimes surpassing 37 square. I heard brilliant sales pitches that guaranteed there roof install for life? Whose life? What if I got hit by a car tomorrow? I was frustrated, it shouldn't be this hard. What if I was not experienced in the trades, did not know the size of my roof and wasn't able to see past this roofing bs.

This is where the story changes. I met Dave Neilson of DC Contracting LLC Norwalk/Stratford. Dave said "my guys can do that". "An hour away in Torrington!" I said. Dave said "Oh yeah we go all over"

Dave drove up and met me at the house, developed an attack plan and sent me a quote that destroyed all challengers. Oh! and my house is 25 square. Seems to have shrunk after the last storm. The roofing team came Wednesday, finished Thursday, including 2 copper flashed chimneys. It was a highly coordinated roofing dance to behold from the laying of the protective plywood and tarps to the massive grounds cleanup upon completion. The crew were polite, clean, quiet with no yelling or swearing. They were insured, had workman's comp and used safety equipment.

And you won't see this too often, Dave was onsight the entire time, friendly, happy, business like, arriving before the crew and leaving last. Oh! the price was the price...how refreashing!
