We hired Matt and his crew from Dakota exteriors to renovate the exterior of our house. It was a large job and we did lots of homework to ensure we hired the right contractor. Right from the initial first meeting to the last day on the job site the entire crew was met our exceptions and surpassed them by light years. They definitely know what there doing and it shows in the finished product. The quality of work, the communication, the site cleanliness and the overall experience Was second to none. We are so happy that we hired Matt and his crew and will be recommending Dakota exteriors to all our friends and family.

I used Dakota Exteriors to give my main floor a new look. I feel like I have a new house, it has such a nice cozy cottage feel to it. Initially I hired them to install pine on one wall in the living room. That turned into them doing the entire room, removing a beam & two posts, installing a new LVL beam to remove 2 posts. The space seems bigger now and much better for entertaining. They are very busy, and I really appreciate the flexibility to stay the extra week to get everything done and accommodate all my last minute changes. My furnace stopped working while they were here and they fixed that too. They were a pleasure to work with on this project, I highly recommend. They are are professional, meticulous, kind & a pleasure to have in my home.

I hired Dakota Exteriors for a complete renovation for the front of my house. Matt and his crew did a quality job from paying attention to details along with doing an overall stellar job on the James Hardie siding and new stairs. Definitely grateful for Matt and his crew for pointing out and repairing all rot damage and fixing the structure of my house. Happy to note that my house no longer has moisture problems. Thank you! Will definitely have Matt and his crew back for future renos.

After having water issues where our deck was attached to the house, and having spent money already twice to fix the issue, which never ended up being fixed we really researched companies that could help. We needed all new windows anyway and decided we needed to remove the stucco to truly fix the problem. We chose Dakota exteriors to help us with this mammoth task and have never regretted it. Matt and his team were awesome, professional, and discussed and solved any issues as they came up, and did a beautiful job on our new siding, deck roof, and monster windows. Would definitely hire again for any exterior work. 5 STARS!

Matt was always available to answer any of our concerns and when any unexpected issues came up he was able to find a good solution. Matt’s team were very professional and easy to have here they even picked us up coffee on a few occasions.

We had some windows in our home replaced . The removal of the old windows, and installation of the new ones went smoothly. We were very happy with the completed work. The workmanship was professional and efficient.

My husband and I met with Matt from Dakota Exteriors in May with the hopes of hiring them to complete a full exterior home renovation. My husband took the morning off work to meet with Matt and we left the consult feeling really good about working with his company. Matt explained the job couldn't start until this fall and that he would have a quote to us in a week. Both timelines worked great for us.

I waited about a month before reaching out to ask about our pending quote and was told it was still forthcoming. Matt and I messaged about where we could go to see sample siding materials, and he told me he would have the estimate to us by week's end. Beginning of July, I still hadn't heard from Matt so I reached out again. He responded with a series of questions pertaining to the type of front door we wanted. I answered his questions immediately he said the estimate would be to us within a week. It is now mid-September. Our family has sill not recieved a quote from Dakota Exteriors and communications from Matt have completely dropped off.

To say we are disappointed is an understatement. Not only were we understanding of Matt's busy work schedule, but we even offered to do some of the demolition / prep-work to help expedite things for his crew.

Matt continued to let us believe an estimate was still in the works rather than being upfront and honest with us about not having the time to fit us in this year. Unfortunately we did seek competing quotes from other companies because, ironically, we didn't want to waste anyone else's time if Matt's quote worked for us.

I wish we had a positive experience to write about because reading through the other Google reviews, it seems they would have done an outstanding job. Two stars given because when Matt did the initial consultation, he knew his stuff and had some good suggestions that fit our vision.

Last year we decided it was time to do the exterior of the house.
Stucco gone and siding on along with new eaves, soffits, facia, vents, the whole exterior.
We chose Dakota exteriors for this job.
These guys were incredible.
When they uncovered a major leak and rot damage, they changed course and went straight to work on repairing the structure of my house before completing the rest of the work.
If we need to replace windows or a new roof in the future I know who were calling and I highly recommend you do too for your renos at home.
When a business does such an incredible job, they have a customer for life.

Fantastic! We hired Dakota Exteriors to do an extensive renovation on our home’s exterior including new siding, soffits, fascia, and eavestroughs.

Matt was very knowledgeable and helpful during the planning process and quoted us a very competitive price. As with any renovation on an older home, once the work began there were some surprises that required additional work and repair, but Matt made sure everything was taken care of and kept the extra expenses as minimal as possible.

The entire crew was excellent. They were hard working and friendly, and we were so impressed with their high quality work and attention to detail.

The finished product speaks for itself – the transformation is incredible and we couldn’t be happier with our new beautiful home. We will be recommending Dakota Exteriors to everyone we know!

My husband and I used Dakota exterior for a remodel of the outside of our home, the outcome was better than what could have been expected.

Matt had come out to do a quote and to inspect the current condition to see what would need to be done. He quoted us a fair price and and within a few weeks of the quote him and his crew were here to start the job!

Matt and his entire crew were nothing but accommodating and friendly. Anytime we had to step out they were quick to offer to move their tools and materials so that we were not inconvenienced. When we let our dogs out they made sure that our gates were closed and were friendly to them! The whole crew was very outgoing and took the time to converse with us. At the end of the day they made sure that they cleaned up and made sure there was no sharp objects left behind (nail, screws).

The job was done within the time frame that Matt said it would be done and the price quoted was the price that we paid. They went over and beyond by hanging our mailbox, house numbers, and installed our new lights.

We have received nothing but compliments on the work that Matt and his crew had done. All of our neighbours and people passing by have made complimenting comments of the new look and love the colour (as seen in picture).

I would most definitely recommend Dakota exterior to anyone looking to have their home redone.

I found Dakota exteriors very professional they did s great job in repairing my roof. They answered all my questions. They thoroughly cleaned up after themselves you could not tell they were here. One of the guys here made I sm going to use dakota exteriors for all of my exterior renovations and repairs. I will recommend them to others. Great job guts

Called Mathew last summer for my roof and he came 30mins late without a ladder and I was okay that. He gave me his sales pitch and I bought it. I wanted to give him my business and asked him when he could start. He said in about 3 weeks which was also okay. 3 weeks went by and I haven’t heard from him and had to call him for an update and he didn’t even have a copy of my quote anymore. I did tell him that I would call him back but why should I have to chase somebody for my business. He obviously didn’t want it.
So he was late for my appointment, had no ladder to get on my roof and lost my quotation. My roof isn’t a difficult roof to do and could have been done in 2 days tops including new eaves which was included in the quote.

Everything I said is true. I’m not trying to ruin your business by being honest. I was giving you the benefit of the doubt everytime and sat here pondering on wether to write a review and by your response I’m glad I did. I have every right giving you a review and if you kept your word my roof would have been done and I would have been very happy giving you a positive review.
You never even tried contacting me after our last discussion and as a business owner you think you would. Wether my roof was done or not.
Sorry but when you leave your customers hanging which you did, your going to get a bad review.

We hired Dakota to replace our roof, soffit & fasica and siding.

Our first meeting with Matt Anderson was extremely professional and he offered a lot of knowledge and different ideas that we really appreciated as we were stuck on Color's and siding design.

We met with 2 other contractors and felt rushed and pressured to sign on the dotted line. We met 2 more times with Dakota and with no pressure signed the deal.

There crew was a bit delayed on starting the job based on rain but communicated with us the delays and new start date.

The job went excellent with no complications and came in on budget. The workmanship is beautiful, the crew is very polite and the job site was cleaned up daily.

We would defenetly recommend Dakota to family and friends and will defenetly be using them on our rental property's .

I had a big leak in my roof and the owner of the company personally came and gave me an estimate within 2 days of me calling. Their pricing was very competitive and their workmanship was incredible. They had my roof completed in a day and a half of arriving. They were clean, tidy, efficient and extremely professional. I recommend everybody in need of roofing services to call Dakota roofing.
