Our experience with Custom Home Improvement was outstanding from start to finish. Kimberly guided us throughout our roof installation from financing, what to expect during the day of installation, insuring everything was ready and ensured that we were happy after the installation. The work crew was on time and very nice. The foreman explained everything that was going on and made sure we were happy at the end of the day, we highly recommend this company!

From the sale with Greg Smith to the final payment being made with Kimberly, this company performs above and beyond expectations. Their roofing job is gorgeous and the clean up and concern for our property were more than expected.

Used these folks a couple of years ago to replace the roof and the job was terrific. Called them to replace the gutters and the workmanship and attention to detail was impressive. Can't find a single thing that wasn't five stars.

Mike arrived at our home on time as scheduled. He was polite and understanding as we reviewed both what we wanted to accomplish and what he believed needed to be accomplished to refurbish our home after recent storm damage. We appreciated his extensive knowledge concerning possible repairs and how we could complete them. I would recommend Pyramid Roofing and Gutters to anyone needing help in these areas. I can not say enough good things about Ty and his crew. Ty was by far the most detailed of all the sales reps we got estimates from and caught things others missed in the quoting process. There was no guessing when working with Ty about the workmanship that was happening throughout any point in the job. His crew was efficient, polite, knowledgeable and worked together extremely well. Ty came back multiple times throughout the job and was on the roof himself alongside his guys making sure everything was perfect, taking pictures and explaining what was happening. Do yourself a favor and hire Ty.

Terry was a pleasure to work with. He was so patient as we discussed all the work we were hoping to have done. All the options were explained in detail and he helped us weigh all the pros and cons of the products we were interested in. After speaking to other companies, we decided that we need to make some changes. He again came and worked with us. It was a great experience and we can’t wait to get the job done!

Mr. Shane Call came out here on time for a quote that I requested. He was easy to talk to and explained everything that needs to be done . I feel that he was very honest and answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. I am at ease and comfortable and didn’t hesitate to contract with him right away!

Custom Home Improvement replaced all of my windows and three of my exterior doors. I am more than pleased with how everything looks. The install crew took 3 days to get all the work done, and they could not have been more pleasant to be around. Communication with the company went very well and aside from having to wait out some rain, and now having to paint the interior of my house to make it look as good as the windows and doors, absolutely love the end result!

My experience with Hyper Roofing was superior to any contracting work I have ever had done. The work was impeccable, beautiful, and done in a timely fashion. Roofers went above and beyond every step of the way and cleaned up thoroughly when finished. The owner Rob not only went to bat with my insurance company to get the best coverage for me but also did the same for several neighbors. Gutters and downspouts were replaced, screens redone to look like new and metal and shingle roofs were done with the highest quality materials. All replacements are superior to what I had when house was new. I highly recommend .Hyper Roofing . I wouldn’t want anyone but them to do the work. Absolute 110% satisfaction. They were magnificent to work with. The entire project was seamless from start to finish!

Custom Home Improvement & Repairs was the 3rd company I called to help fix the water coming in my window. I wasn't very hopeful because like I said this is the 3rd company, but Antonio Vaquera assured me that he found the cause of the leak and is able to fix the problem. It has since then rained heavily and I can report no water has been coming in. A huge thank you to Antonio for all his help.

Thank you for your comments. I would however like to add a few myself. Communication….we stated more than once when sitting down with your rep that the door we desired needed to open on both sides AND have a screen. Each time, we were told, no problem, we can definitely get you to door you want. We trusted that he would follow through on our requirements when building the door. There was no miscommunication between my husband or myself when expressing our desires. It was stated very clearly by the two of us at all times to your rep that a screen was needed and the door open on both sides. That was one of the main reasons we wanted our old door replaced. It had no screen.
When we looked at our contract, it said double patio door. Nothing was written about both sides not opening. How are we supposed to know what kind of door it was based on that description? I don’t know model numbers of stuff or programs businesses use to order things. Once again, we trusted that the door we would be getting was the exact one we wanted.
And yes, when your project manager came by to get signed off, we once again trusted we would be getting the door we specifically stated we wanted. He was told of our requirements and not once did he tell us the door wouldn’t meet them. You spoke of good faith…well we had good faith that the correct door was ordered.
As for your two resolutions that took almost a month to come up with…well $800 off an $8000 door was not exactly something to write home about….the second choice was to order a door that opened on both sides that did not come with a screen. What? Back to original conversation with rep who said no problem to getting us a door that opened both sides and had a screen. You wanted us to pay more money and still not get the door we specifically wanted. What choice would you have made? It was lose, lose and we still weren’t getting the door we wanted. If we had been given a third choice of having you take the door back and give us our old door back, I would have taken that one.
Good faith goes both ways.
Now, I have an $8000 door that does not meet my requirements. To me, that does not warrant 100 percent customer satisfaction.
Your rep screwed up and ordered us the wrong door yet you keep trying to put the blame on us. If that fact had been admitted and an apology administered, my attitude might be a little different. Our only mistake was trusting too much and not having all the technical verbiage in writing. Our good faith in the rep was not rewarded.

Our experience was not a positive one. The French door that was installed was not the one we asked for. It was specifically stated several times to the rep that both sides must open and have a screen. We were reassured that would be the type of door we would receive. Fast forward to install and the door they installed only opened on one side. The installers stated, "we installed the door that was ordered." Back and forth, it took them almost a month to offer...keep the door and get $800 knocked off or order the correct door costs more money and does not come with screen. Told yet again, "the door that was installed was the door that was ordered."
No, matter my choice, I still did not get the door that I wanted.
I probably wouldn't be so dissatisfied if they had just come clean and admitted to ordering the wrong door. Instead they just kept repeating, "we installed the door that was ordered." How were we supposed to know he was ordering the wrong door and we needed to check before install was initiated? Never needed to do that before. We trusted that our stated desires were heard.
I feel deceived and lied to as we were told the door we would receive would be the exact door I wanted.
If you choose to use this company, I suggest you look at your product before any install occurs. Once the wrong door or window or whatever is installed...you are stuck like Chuck.

Awesome experience from the start of the project until the end. Everyone one we spoke to was very friendly and professional. They made us feel confident with the decision that we made. Did not try to sell us items or services that we don’t need. Process was very easy. Project (roof replacement) was done in less than a day. Will highly recommend.

We had new siding installed by Customer Home Improvement and Efrain was our Project Manager and he was exceptional in communicating with me on a daily basis and stopping by daily to do a walk-around with me. He told me daily to contact him with any questions, comments or concerns and he would address those with Edgar and his team. Any concerns were addressed and handled promptly. Edgar and his team did an outstanding job. They were here every day by 8 am and did not leave till around 7 pm. They worked extremely hard all day, stopping only for water breaks and a quick lunch. They were professional, courteous, hard working, kept to the task and did a phenomenal job. Edgar as the lead, was exceptional and was doing numerous tasks around the entire house and found a way to get them all done…remarkable! Any questions or concerns I had, he took care of them. Could not be more pleased with the outcome. Neighbors have been commenting on how nice the house looks! Great work by all, and thank you all!

I had the pleasure of working with Bill Pyle yesterday as he came to give us an estimate on new siding for our home. I have been working with Bill at Custom Home Improvement since 2015 when he assisted us in getting a new roof installed on our home. He also assisted us in getting trim and soffit done on our home and on my storage shed. Although Bill is retired, he volunteered to come out yesterday to give us the quote on siding. It was so great to see him when I answered the door as I knew he had retired in 2020. Thank you for contacting Bill and asking him if he wanted to take care of us. Really made my day, as Bill is one of the nicest person I have had the pleasure to work with and so kind, genuine, friendly and honest. I consider Bill a friend and I trust no one more than Bill when it comes to my home improvement needs. We did purchase the siding and I am grateful for Bill in taking care of us yesterday. Bill, sincerely thank you my friend for everything!

The job was poorly done. I had to have them come out and fix siding that fell off many many times and I gave up and started fixing stuff myself. Now I receive spam texts form their company addressing me as “Steven and Mary” and ask me to refer my neighbors to them. I honestly regret the whole thing

Hands down the BEST and I mean BEST customer experience through and through. They will treat you like family and a respected customer. I was nervous about who to go with for getting my roof replaced and I couldn’t have made a better choice. Antonio came to my property and showed me attention to detail down to last to the nail. I’ve never seen anything like it and they have affordable pricing options. It’s a win win.

I had a piece of siding on the roof rack that had been ripped off by the wind. Had a couple of companies come out for estimates. Antonio was awesome! He didn’t try to sell me a bunch of other stuff to raise the cost. Just gave me a straight forward cost to repair what was needed. He showed up on time and completed the job. Did excellent work! I am now getting an estimate from them on having my windows replaced. Everyone I’ve had an interaction with at the company, including Dakota, have been exceptional! I definitely would recommend this company for any of your exterior home improvements!

I called Custom Home Improvements after a storm blew off several pieces of my vinyl siding. Their quote was fair & they fixed the panels fast & professionally. We were so impressed that we called Giovanny back to replace all our trim.

7 MAY 2025 Update: The trim & soffit replacement was well installed but the clean up was awful. We have a dog and found a bagful of nails all over our driveway, front & backyard. We found pieces of rags, vinyl & soffit in our pool. The trim & soffit craftsmanship was excellent but the amount of old nails we recovered was really unsatisfactory.

19 May 2025 (update) : Honestly, I'm so impressed! After my update was posted they got in touch with us & sent the project manager to recover the nails & double check on the clean up & gave us a gift card for our troubles. They explained that the crew had a medical emergency & had to leave the site before clean up was properly completed & we're more than happy to finish the job.

Jeremy was awesome! Went up in the attic and found our roof leaks. Went over the roofing system and now have next week.

Very profesional and hard working team replaced my roof in under 10 hours. Cleaned the area around my home and the homes around mine from any and all debri that may have blown over. I would give them 6 stars if they put an extra one on.

This is my second time using custom home improvement and they had Jeremy “bash” come to my rental property and he took the time to inspect my 20 year old roof and took pictures and showed me where the damage areas are. I went through Kimberly and she guided me through the whole proceeds and checked in throughout it all. We are thrilled with the new trim on our home. The team did a wonderful job and left the walkways free of nails and even swept. Efrain, the project manager, came by regularly and even drove over an hour out to get some material for a section that we decided to add on that day. We moved to VA about a year ago and needed some windows replaced. Custom Home Improvement was the 2nd company we met with and it didn't take long talking to Terry and Jeremy that Custom was the best people for the job! From start to finish the each team member was friendly, informative, professional and did amazing work. The day the windows were installed was seamless, again professional. The two gentlemen who installed the windows were friendly and hard working it was a father son team and they did great work. They were on time and done by 1pm AMAZING! More recently we realized our roof was in need of inspection and possibly repair. We called around for different quotes and Custom Home Improvement were the clear winners! Jeremy "Bash" yet again was great to work with he helped us understand the issues, the work that needed to be done, and really REALLY went to bat for us to help us find the right financial plan to get us the roof we needed. We truly feel well taken care of each time we use Custom Home Improvement and Repairs.

Edit: We have given multiple chances to your company. The owner did reach out to us and yes we decided to carry out our GAF claim with another company. I was unable to leave work again that same day and the owner only reached out after I posted a public review, not because of the no show.

I really thought that Custom Home was going to be excellent. They are amazing when it comes to giving a sales pitch, but it became obvious to me that they are a quantity over quality type business. We had a full roof put on our home and granted, it got done in a single day, but it was sloppy work. The team left scuff marks all over our home, shingles along the sides of the house were uneven... I just expected a higher standard from a company that claims they are a GAF "Master Elite" installer. Now, its been a little over 2 years since we had the roof installed. We started noticing some water leaking into an exterior wall. We had a gutter company come and when they removed the fascia board they found that there was a section that was missing some flashing. I'm not necessarily blaming the water leak on Custom Home, but I scheduled someone to come look at the spot in question. The day of the appointment arrives, I had to leave my work to meet Custom Home and they never called, and never showed up... Later in the day I got a call from one of the schedulers and she passed on some excuse that the team was busy with a redecking and the guy that was supposed to come lost track of time. Im sorry, but that is completely unacceptable and a total cop out. I was also very busy at work, and I respected your time to be sure I was there, plus there is no reason I couldn't just get a call letting me know that the day won't be good for our appointment. I would understand, and reschedule. At the end of all of this I would say that I will never use Custom Home ever again. Clearly this is the way they operate and its not an isolated incident. I know they have tons of great reviews, which is what attracted us initially, but they aren't a good company. The only reason I didn't give 1 star is because we did get a roof over our heads. This is not an impulsive 1 star review. This is 2 and a half years of observing their low quality efforts. To others, I recommend shopping around before you settle for Custom Home Improvement.

I was referred to this company by my brother that got his roof done by them two years ago, and I'm glad he did. This company is amazing. Keith came out to do the initial estimate and was very thorough, and made sure I completely understood every step of the process. He also has been readily available for any pop up questions I've had. Upon agreeing on the estimate, Kimberly kept me up to date with the schedule and what to expect next. Kimberly was also readily available for any possible questions that I had. On the day of the roof replacement (Mar14), Fransisco and his team showed up on time in the morning and did an amazing job. I had a little bit of damage to the wood on my roof and they had to replace my furnace vent, as well as the collars on my vent pipes and fan vent, but Fransisco was extremely knowledgeable and kept me in the loop and showed me everything they found before they made any repairs. After the work was done, you couldn't even tell they were there, they took their time cleaning up and making sure any and all trash was picked up. I highly recommend this company for all of your roofing needs! Great quality at a reasonable price

Super pleased with the outcome of our new roof replacement . Everyone we dealt with was very professional . From Giovanni the salesmen coming out prepared with different options on what we could do . Neil was our project manager , he was professional and communicated well. We did have a guy come thru Sheetrock in a closet (it happens) Neil and Kimberly (production manager) made sure the hiccup got taken care of and we were compensated. I would definitely use them again on my next home project

We discussed the various products his company offers, including roofing materials, siding, gutters, windows and doors, and I was truly impressed by his knowledge.

Jeremy’s expertise is thorough and extensive, and he takes the time to explain each option in detail, which is invaluable when making decisions about your home. While I didn’t purchase anything today, I know exactly who I’ll be calling first when I have another project or concern. I had a great experience with this company. Kimberly the scheduler, Francisco the project manager, the team who did the roof, and Michael the salesman were all very nice, respectful, and trustworthy — which is hard to find when looking for someone to do your roof. They were fast, considerate, and personable. I would recommend them to anyone. Hopefully, I’ll never need another roof, but if I do, I would choose them again.

Our project Manager for the day was Neil and our roof installation went smoothly and efficiently. The team showed up early and they brought their own dumpster. They stayed within the confines of our lawn and worked steadily throughout the day. They cleaned up the site great when they were done. Neil kept us updated on how the installation was progressing and was very professional. Working with Kimberly throughout this whole process was wonderful, she was amazing at setting up a date even with all the rainy weather we have been having. The cost was very upfront and we only had to pay extra for a few sheets of replacement wood. Overall we had an exceptional service from the company and would recommend to anyone in the Hampton area.

Our experience as a homeowner with Custom Home Improvement was exceptional! We replaced the vinyl siding and two exterior doors of our home. I first met Efrain Ortiz (production manager) top notch, attentive and friendly, very available to help and explain the project, our first meeting involved his introduction and he left his contact information and said "call me with any concerns", and before he left he said " Mr. Paulding, I have our best guy coming to your house". I'm thinking "the best guy" Man whatever, Yeah right ! I'll admit it I'm Mr. Pessimistic. Mr. Kim arrives ( alone). I thinking when does the crew show up?! First impression of Mr Kim was " okay , he's the job boss, he's here to get things started. Then, I realized that no one else was coming. WHAT! How long is this going to take , the Whole House! I was not prepared. Mr Kim is a professional craftsman! Mr Kim came each day to the house and worked with precision and changed my pessimistism after two days! Especially his workmanship with the " stack stone". We witnessed a transformation of our home each day, it was impressive to see Mr. Kim work ALONE and accomplish everything. Did I say ALONE?! Mr Kim did the whole job himself! We're extremely pleased with our experience. Then we meet Chad and the finishing touches of the Exterior Front door, excellent workmanship! We used Custom Home Improvement & Repairs to do a full roof replacement. Every one we worked with throughout the process (Terry, Kimberly, Neil, and Fransisco) were all kind, professional, and communicative. We were never given a hard sales pitch, just the information needed to make the right decisions for us and our home. The crew up on the roof did an excellent job and an even better clean up. Would highly recommend for any projects you need done.

Recently had some siding repairs done and quotes on a few big projects for my home. From walking into the shop last minute to getting the work done was fast, smooth and very well done. Having them on speed dial for future projects.

Custom Home did a great job on our roof. Forthright, courteous, no aggressive BS in the quote/sales process with Greg and Mike, just great follow up. Competitive price, I got several quotes, but I looked for quality first in all the contractors I talked to. Clear, proactive communications from Kimberly, the Production Office Manager, and great onsite leadership by Francisco. I was prepared for the job to take 3+ days but the crew was in and out in 2 days, even with high winds and freezing temperatures. The team did a thorough cleanup, and the roof looks great and has a 30 year warranty! We used Custom a few years back for some exterior doors and porch roof, they did great work then as well. Highly recommended!!!

I called about replacing my roof, I spoke to a rep named Kim and she was awesome, with a capital A! I was so stressed and overwhelmed about the idea of having to tackle such a huge project on my home, (first big project since I became a homeowner) but she walked me through everything!
From the estimate, potential cost and process works and she really put my mind at ease. When I tell you she saved my sanity I mean just that. I feel so much better going forward. I needed siding replaced because the old siding was damaged. I looked through a lot of companies and decided to go with this one. They were able to do a cool design accent with cedar shake, which is awesome. Pictures below.

As the numerous positive reviews here indicate, Custom Home Improvements is a great company to work with, and count me among the many satisfied customers. If you are weighing your options for needed work on your house, I believe you will be highly satisfied by choosing them. Carpenter bees over the years had destroyed much of the fascia on both sides of my 2 story house. I reached out to Custom Home Improvements, opting for the “Custom Deluxe Vinyl-Trim” package, along with new gutters and downspouts. This package included repairing any damaged wood, then installing PVC Trim Coil and vinyl soffit, plus the gutters and downspouts in the colors of my choice. Desiring to keep the current look, I opted for Wedgewood Blue for all products. I was kept informed via text by Neil, and as the materials arrived, my fascia and soffit installation was scheduled for Monday, 9/18/23. Everything went great! Neil arrived early that morning to drop off my materials, and the 3 person installation crew did fantastic work. I couldn’t have been happier! I was informed that my gutter and downspout installation would be the very next day. Tuesday arrives, and the 2 person gutter crew arrives nice and early. I notice as they are preparing the gutter material that I am not seeing Wedgewood Blue, but white. Stop the presses! There appears to be some mistake. The crew calls their contact, and I call the office to straighten things out. Believing the blue I ordered would still be put on, it was agreed the crew would stop for the day until we could figure things out. The hero of the following situation is Custom Home Improvement’s Kimberly. The quote “Anyone can steer the ship when the sea is calm” comes to mind. The sea around me at this point was anything but calm, so my satisfaction with this project was about to be tested. When I arrived at their office, Kimberly was already reviewing my order history and calling various people to get answers. As fate would have it, the manufacturer of the gutter material abruptly decided mid-year to discontinue Wedgewood Blue, despite it being marketed as a 2023 option. I now have Wedgewood Blue fascia wrap and soffit installed, and the matching gutters and downspouts are unavailable. Kimberly was not ready to take that for an answer. I sat next to her as she must have called 20 different sources, trying to find someone that had Wedgewood Blue, or anything closely resembling it. This stuff disappeared faster than Purell when Covid kicked in, no one had it or anything close. Can we identify another color that would be complimentary to the overall look? Kimberly patiently brought out every color offering imaginable, and after much indecision on my part, I agreed to “Colonial Gray”. This would require special ordering, but it was hoped this could be rushed through to perhaps a week to 10 days. I settled on that and called it a day. Having nothing better to do than think about this all night and watch TV, now hearing about a potential tropical storm developing, I had a change of mind. Wednesday morning, I arrived unannounced at the office, meeting with Kimberly, to see if in light of the coming storm, if it was still possible to get the white installed ASAP, so my house would not experience facing a potential strong storm with no rain gutters. Again, Kimberly jumped in with both feet to see what could be done. I am pleased to say it appears mountains were moved to take care of me. Friday morning, as the clouds and winds of Ophelia arrived in Virginia Beach, the gutter crew arrived and installed my new white gutters & downspouts before a single raindrop fell. I was immensely grateful to the gutter crew and to Kimberly for taking my best interests to heart. Everything worked out in the end. I actually like / prefer the white on blue look, as it gives off a much “cleaner” look. It took me going through this experience to see how really good a company Custom Home Improvements is. They, and primarily Kimberly, turned lemons into great tasting lemonade for me.

Custom Home Improvement has done an exceptional job with the many installations of 3 doors and 1 set of railings. Mark and his crew have provided excellent service and follow up. I would highly recommend this company.
