CSNH - Construction Services of NH

This company is currently working on a house on the street that I live on. A few weeks back, one of their employees asked me if I could not park in front of their job site. I assured him that I would try as a courtesy, but that I generally get home late at night and there's not much available for parking beyond the spots in front of the house they're working on. This is a public street, and I am able to park where I need to.

A couple weeks later, I go to leave my house and am harassed by the same man, who is now screaming and cursing at me about how he's "sick of me parking my car in front of there", and how I can't park in front of a house I don't live in. On a public street...

I'm sure not everyone at this establishment is like this, but someone in management here should talk to the older gentleman with a mustache about maybe learning how to properly speak to people. Maybe some education on how public streets work as well.

Would give these idiots zero stars if you could. Todd and his crew are the best at excuses, delays, lack of communication, and walking away from a job. So pathetic that they couldn’t even finish the hack job they did of our one car garage. Left us with a ruined driveway he blamed on the demo crew, exposed nails, unsealed foundation, and NO GARAGE DOOR! I’m sure this clown will comment with more excuses but the proof is in the pictures. Will definitely be pursing legal action!

Bad winter storm on 1/20/23 brought a tree down onto our house. Our vinyl siding was shredded up, some damage to an outer door. Our insurance company recommended a few different construction outfits to choose from. After the first one gave us the run around ( based out of MA) we declined to do business with them. You don't want to trust a $7k repair job to just any company. We asked the insurance company for at least 3 more companies to choose from, and did our due diligence for research. Not only did I check customer reviews, Better Business Bureau, I looked up what former and current employees had to say about working for CSNH. Glowing reviews. We liked that they were based locally in New Hampshire, the phone was consistently answered by the same professional person, and the owner, Denis, met us at our home the SAME day we called. An estimate was drawn up, date for repairs chosen, and the work was done quickly and professionally. Excellent and I would definitely do business with them again. If you choose CSNH, you can rest assured your repairs are in very good hands. I can't thank them enough.

Excellent company to deal with! They communicated the work to be completed quickly and efficiently. They coordinated the repair work with our electric company seamlessly and completed everything in one day. Would absolutely recommend this company for all repair work needed on your home.

After the Dec. 23 wind storm, part of my roof came off and I had water damage in my upstairs bedroom.
CSNH came to my rescue! They quickly sent a “board up” company out to prevent any more water from getting in via my roof. They also had RR&R come take care of the water mitigation on the inside.
CSNH coordinated EVERYTHING! They talked to my insurance company as well as the insurance adjuster. I was so impressed with Nicole, who talked to me almost daily, and with Robbie and Jeremy who handled the water mitigation. They all knew exactly what needed to be done and they did it!
It was such a relief to have knowledgeable professionals who clearly cared about my situation.
I gave them 5 stars, but they deserve a million stars!

Following a main sink leak, the CSNH team was very prompt in working with our Insurance adjuster and responding with their damage mitigation team. Portions of our cabinetry, wall (back to the studs) and flooring were removed and dried to contain the damage. The Project Mgr. was very thorough in assessing the scope of the damage, developing a quotation, securing insurance approval and executing repairs. My wife and I took this opportunity to upgrade our kitchen, pantry and internal house painting and this added scope was likewise reasonably quoted and contracted. A couple of minor issues came up related to the work performed and the Project Mgr. (Todd Wallace) satisfactorily addressed each. CSNH also worked around other house upgrades (removal of a wall between our dining/living rooms, floor repairing and a full bathroom gut and re-build) without impacting other contractors ability to work. Todd was very pleasant to work with and all CSNH staff and sub's likewise respected our property, displayed professionalism and maintained cleanliness while doing their work or picking up after their work was performed. We want to express our appreciation to our insurance company (MMG) for selecting CSNH, to Todd and all those that supported him for making this home disruption and renovation, as easy and pleasant as it could be.

CSNH replaced our wood floor after we had a water leak. The space was large in an open concept room, roughly 600 sf. From the start of the process of working with CSNH I had the feeling they were looking out for us, suggesting different flooring options & solutions to reduce the scope of the project by adding a small piece of trim, rather than having to completely remove all of the baseboard trim. This ended up saving us significant time & money. Despite some Covid interruptions, the project was completed in a timely & professional manner. We are completely satisfied with the work done by CSNH.

Todd and his team were excellent to work with. Quick response time and our refinished first floor looks better than ever. We would not hesitate recommending them to anyone!

We had an ice damn. We live in Nashua and they came out the next day to mitigate and get our insurance company an estimate for repairs. They worked quickly and the only delays were from our insurance company and waiting for materials. They kept in contact with us and the people who came and did the actual work were professional, responsive and respectful of our space. The work was performed quickly once we got the materials and the insurance okay.
Our job was not the biggest job, or the most expensive, but they treated us and the job like it was.They were more responsive than contractors in our area and have earned our respect and trust.
If we ever have anything else happen, CSNH will be the first company we contact.

Bryan and the team did a great job with our renovation. It was a complicated project and they completed it on time and on budget. The work quality was high and we are very happy with the result.

Efficient, clean, and completed on-time! The repair work required in my condo from a washing machine malfunction in another condo was fairly complicated in that it spanned several rooms. The assessment, renovation, and finish work was done very smoothly and quickly. Associates completing the work were very respectful during covid (wearing masks). I would definitely recommend them!

After some significant storm damage, CSNH came out at the recommendation of our insurance company. They were knowledgeable, provided good advice and the craftsmanship and professionalism of everyone involved was exceptional. The results were what they should be. As importantly, they cared.

We had water damage from leaking pipes in both our bathrooms that quickly turned into a much bigger project than we could have imagined. The original damage company we used discovered we had asbestos in one of the affected floors and one of the affected ceilings, so our insurance company put us in touch with Lori at CSNH and Ron at RRR. Ron worked with us first to get rid of the asbestos, and he and his team worked quickly and were in constant communication with us every step of the way. When Lori and her team started, we had workers in our house nearly every day trying to work as quickly as possible to get the work done, but they never once compromised on quality! Lori and Ron worked directly with our insurance company so we had to do very little on our end other than pick out flooring, paint, etc. What's more impressive is that this all started when I was 7.5 months pregnant, and Lori especially worked as hard as she could to make sure that our massive project was done before my due date! At the end of the project, we had all new plumbing installed in both bathrooms, new floors and trim in both rooms, a new ceiling in our basement, new ceiling and walls in a closet, new vanity, walls, and bath tiles in one bathroom, and every ceiling and wall in each affected room (including the basement) was painted. Everything looks incredible, and every worker they hired was very friendly, professional, and hard-working. Water damage projects are a headache, but CSNH and RRR made our experience as smooth and easy as it could be!

I woke up one morning and discovered a puddle in the kitchen. Turned out to be a water leak in the wall. Things went down hill from there - the floor tile was asbestos, etc. CSNH came in and evaluated. We discussed the issues. Then work began. Within a reasonable time, all was expertly repaired and the damaged areas made better than they had been before the leak. My wife and I are totally satisfied and recommend CSNH to anyone needing their services. Great job, quality work, quickly done.

We hired CSNH to remove two walls between our kitchen, dining room, and living room to create a more open concept.

Bryan managed the project and was excellent to work with. He took the time to walk us (as new homeowners) through every aspect of the project and explained all of our options. Throughout the project, he communicated with us on a daily basis to make sure we were happy with the progress and to also tell us what was planned for the next day. We really appreciated Bryan's attentiveness and availability.

The team was incredibly professional and of high quality. Jason, who worked in our home most frequently, was detail-oriented and did not cut any corners. It was clear he takes great pride in his craft. Jason was respectful in our home, to our kids, and just nice guy to be around.

This was our first experience hiring a general contractor. CSNH made us feel comfortable and we're so happy with the job they did. You'd never know there were once walls dividing these rooms!

We would highly recommend CNSH and plan to use them again in the future.

Back in July, a contractor made a mistake while working on the condo above us and sent water streaming through our ceiling and onto the bed & floor in our master bedroom. RR&R responded and had people onsite within an hour. They cleaned up all of the water, opened up the ceiling so it could dry, and set up several drying machines to work 24/7. They removed and cleaned our comforter and rug and in short order we were back using the bedroom. RR&R was great!

I hired CSNH/RR&R after our Agency had a positive COVID exposure at one of our locations. Ron and his team (Andrew, Hernan & Samantha) arrived and treated our facility just hours after my call understanding the urgency of the situation to protect our staff and clients. Their prompt service and professionalism was greatly appreciated! We have used their services on several occasions for treating our agency vehicles for possible exposure and will not hesitate to contact them again! Great job & thank you!

We hired CSNH for a major repair project at our cottage in Moultonboro, NH. The cottage and deck sit on piers that are elevated about 3 feet off the ground. Those piers were compromised over time and the cottage was on the verge of collapse. The cottage had to be jacked up and the piers had to be replaced to current building code. We had several contractors look at the project and then not even get back to us with a plan. Then we met Denis Cloutier, owner of CSNH. Denis was immediately confident his firm could handle the project and confirmed they had a high degree of success with such projects. Fairly quickly a project manager was assigned to work with us. Her name is Lori Langan and she is a true professional. She was very responsive throughout the process and was quick to deliver good news or bad news. The bad news usually had a suggested resolution. The heavy lifting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work was all done by Jason and Tom. They paid great attention to detail and treated the property as if it were their own. The project took several months to complete. Overall we are very happy and wouldn’t hesitate to hire CSNH again!.

These guys did a great job restoring my attic and basement in just a few days. Very friendly, informative, and professional.

We've used CSNH twice now, both times while dealing with home owners claims. They were prompt, responsive and provided explanations of next steps. At no point did it feel like we were out of the loop or didn't know the status of the project.

We hired Construction Services of NH (CSNH) to repair our basement after we had extensive water damage earlier this spring. The basement needed new insulation in walls and ceiling, new dry wall (walls and ceiling), painting of the entire basement and new flooring as well. We found the staff at CSNH to be very professional and responsive as were the crew they sent to perform the work. The work was done in a timely manner and the end result is better that we expected. I would use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

I am thrilled at the service we received. Not only were they fast with their response time, they were thorough, paid attention to detail, fixed trouble spots, and made my home look flawless even after a day of mudding, taping and sanding! I highly recommend this company!!

I had a water leak from my 2nd floor bathroom that came through the living room ceiling. CSNH is a preferred vendor of my insurance company and I"m thankful I went through them to complete the work. Bryan was great to work with and his subs were also amazing - Tom did the carpentry, Ed handled the painting and Jason did the finish plumbing. Everyone one I met through this process was courteous, friendly and professional. I will absolutely use CSNH again for future projects - even if it's not through my insurance.

After a water leak damaged my kitchen ceiling, my insurance company sent CSNH to review and potentially repair the damages. Bryan was professional, friendly and competent to do the work at hand. We talked about his portfolio of work and he showed me some recent pictures of a kitchen remodel he worked on in the Lakes Region. The work I viewed on his IPad was beautiful. I have wanted to remodel my kitchen for a few years now but the cost always kept me from proceeding. I asked Bryan if he would be willing to do both the ceiling repair and a full kitchen remodel. He provided me with a quote within a few days at a reasonable rate. My husband works in construction and he could not poke any holes in the quote cost for labor or materials.
We hired CSNH for both projects. The project encompassed new kitchen cabinets, counter tops and flooring that ran from my entrance hall through my bathroom and kitchen. Due to the open concept layout of my house I was struggling a bit to determine a new functional layout. Bryan was able to refer us to a consultant to help redesign our kitchen and choose our flooring, cabinets and counters. The two companies worked very well with each other and I felt the communication throughout the project was on-target. There were a few small hiccups during the project- as to be expected in any construction job. There was a problem with the dust when the grout was ground off the ceramic tiles on demo day. The dust!!! While there were plastic drapes and an air system running, the dust got into most rooms of my house. Bryan was calm and brought in a cleaning person to help remove it right away.
The bigger problem was Covid-19! The project was moving along and right after getting my countertop measured for the template the counter company closed for two weeks, holding up the remainder of work (sink, counter, installing stoves, final cabinets, putting the bathroom back together, etc.). Having already lived without running water downstairs and microwaved meals (Covid kept us from enjoying going out for dinner and regular take-out) another two weeks just wasn’t going to work. I emailed Bryan in frustration (not his fault) and Bryan had his plumber come and hook us up with a temporary kitchen sink, relocated our oven and finished the bathroom installation the next day. Everyone practiced social distancing and hygiene habits throughout the project (masks, gloves).
Bryan provided a perfect balance of guidance and support throughout the project while also listening to us. Bryan reacted to every concern I had, quickly, calmly and professionally. At the end of the project, he handled our punch-list with his painters and carpenters and addressed every concern or miss right away. He also reviewed our original quote at the end of the project and removed costs based on the original estimate vs. the actual. I was happily surprised the cost went down not up! I did not feel taken advantage of and I did not have issues communicating or reaching Bryan at all. I am thrilled with the final product and am still in awe of how beautiful my kitchen is now! I highly recommend CSNH for your construction needs.

Jason was a tremendous talent. He worked diligently and quickly and with great skill. He was also extremely polite and considerate of our time and situation. I would use him again in a heartbeat

We hired Reliable Restoration and Recovery, a division of Construction Services of New Hampshire, with the understanding that they would clean our house and care for our possessions, and CSNH would rebuild it with the addition of a dormer. Their contract for the cleanup, demo, and storage gave no timeline, no list of services, and no prices; instead it put the obligation on the customer without guaranteeing anything in return. In five months, they did not complete the restoration and cleanup or offer us a contract to rebuild our home. When we hired another contractor to rebuild our house and finish the demo and cleanup, we found out they had not been billing the insurance company or seeking advance approval for their work. The bill they sent the insurance company after we asked them to return our belongings included work they had never done, such as removing insulation from the basement, removing a vinyl floor from the bathroom - it had a tile floor and they did not remove it - removing insulation from the basement, and removing a wood floor. They also send a bill for a $25,000 asbestos cleanup which had never been approved by our insurance company. Although they promised to return our belongings from storage, they twice reneged, holding on to our possessions for six weeks as leverage in their negotiations with the insurance company for their unapproved expenses, and then to secure payment from us. They expected payment on delivery in what they called â??the exchange", not providing us with and inventory or allowing us to conduct one. Furniture was returned unfinished, our books, photo albums, and piano were never cleaned or ionized, and several items were missing and damaged. If you happen to be my worst enemy, I still can't recommend CSNH.
