Had them come out to look at storm damage on my roof, they agreed to do the work with a $500 deposit. They also were supposed to write a more in depth quote to submit to insurance. Went long periods of time with no contact only to come back and say they were still working on the quote. Instead of writing the quote they called my insurance and asked for a base fee to come out and perform the work. Never once wrote the quote. I respectfully asked to have my deposit refunded and shop elsewhere, which they agreed to but never did. Stopped all communication with me.

HORRIBLE!!! DO NOT GO TO THEM!!!! They have many complaints from the bureau. But what people don’t know is that roof Masters does not have to answer to the bureau. Therefore, when you look them up, these complaints won’t come up unless you do your research. They screwed me over for $500 deposit that I politely asked for back NOT EVEN TWO WEEKS later. Which this shouldnt have been a big deal, considering all they do is replace roofs therefore they could’ve used those materials for someone else’s roof. Not only that, but I live not even 2 miles away from roof masters so it shouldn’t have been a big deal. After I gave Kevin bowie the deposit, I found out that Kevin Bowie talked me into getting the most expensive roof when telling me I was getting the best deal with the cheapest option. I expressed my situation to the fullest extent explaining that I wanted to get more estimates to see if I could find a cheaper option before even giving him the deposit. Kevin Bowie then took it vantage of the situation. Me a 19 year old with a 10 month old at the time. whose father just died with insane financial debt, and a mold, covered house with nowhere else to go. He knew I was in a vulnerable situation and took advantage. Kevin bowie LITERALLY CRIED in my kitchen, made me feel bad, so I gave him the deposit (which is very unprofessional) I then called him two weeks later and asked him if I could have my deposit back because I did not want to go through with it. He then offered if he could put a tarp on my roof and exchange for the $500 deposit. I expressed that I did not believe $500 was fair just for a tarp on an little addition roof (not even my actual roof it was an addition on the house) But I do understand that the tarp did cost money. So I only asked him for 250$ back after he got someone who lived in MY community park to come tarp it. Kevin Bowie not only got aggressive with me over the phone when I explained that, I did not believe it was fair but I also talked to the other co-owner Dave Dan or whatever his name is, Who was even worse than Kevin Bowie not only did these two men call me absurd names, but Dave Dan or whatever his name is, wouldn’t even let me speak calling me disgusting things. I just wanted my money back because I did not believe the situation was fair, and I’d like to hear from others to see if you believe this is fair for a big name company to do something like this. I mean even tried to accommodate the situation by asking for 250$ back instead of my full deposit. And I also want to state that I signed a contract that stated nothing about a non refundable deposit it, but Kevin Bowie stated he has a separate contract ( that I didn’t not see or sign) that states that deposits are nonrefundable. Crazy right?

We paid them $3,000 to fix a leak in our roof. They told us they had stopped by to fix it when we weren't home. It quickly became apparent that the issue was not fixed, and when we tried to get in touch with them about it, they stopped returning all of our attempts to contact them and ghosted us completely.

They took our money, lied to us about fixing the issue, and then ignored us. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Paid for a repair to our roof in June, never saw the tech complete the repair, but they said they came by and were able to fix the issue from the outside without needing to come inside.

Fast forward to December, in prep for the storms the wife goes through the whole house and notices the ceiling water damage has been getting worse in the area that they repaired. We call and email with some response and promises to come out. Never happened and eventually they just stopped responding. Hoping it’s a mistake and we’ll still get them here to fix the issue and we’ll change our review. Till then. ‍♂️

Three separate roofing companies later the roof needs replaced. :-/

Horrible business. Do not use. Check BBB reviews before thinking about using this outfit. They put a new roof on our home in Sept 2020. We recently noticed water damage on the inside of the plywood in the attic. After literally hundreds of calls I finally got a repair tech to come take a look at what was going on. Try calling the office in any of the various numbers you can find online, 99% of the time its an answering service despite calling during their listed business hours (red flag if you can't actually get in touch with anyone, but if you email them to say you are interested in a new roof they call you back quickly). Once the repair tech came out, they couldnt identify the issue and thought maybe the ridge vent needed to be replaced so they did that. It had not affect on the issue and the problem persisted. I contacted them again, literally a hundred calls, text, emails, later I finally got the repair tech again. He said he would call me the week after xmas to schedule another appt to come and take shingles off to figure out what was going on. He never called. We had another contractor look at the issue and while they werent sure what the issue was by looking at it from the inside, they said something was fundamentally incorrect, maybe a missing underlayment etc... I made the call rounds again and finally got a call back today and now they're telling me im out of luck and that this is a wind driven rain issue and not covered under warranty. It's amazing how all these products and services have lifetime warranty etc.. etc... but when you actually need them nothing comes of it. This business is a joke. Buyer beware. Check BBB to see more horror stories. I dont know how they are setup but It seems like they take the sales order and outsource the work, have little to no support services (dont even have an office admin to take calls) to keep costs low and profits high. Then when you need a warranty claim, they are non existent. I'm now trying to find their insurance and bond info so I can file a claim through them. Most likely ill have to pay $20k for another outfit to put on a whole new roof and then take legal action against Roof Master.

Look at reviews and go elsewhere. Trying to screw me on a $3000 emergency repair job. The owner David McKeage has a bad reputation after asking around. Didn't do the work they said they would, which I confirmed with another contractor + insurance. Called their work "a joke."

UPDATE / RESPONSE TO OWNER:
Yes, you did come out and stop the leak, which I appreciate and was thankful for. In a storm, in a dangerous situation, all are true. I wrote a $3000 check right away and was happy to have you. I said that to the tech on-site and the teams I've spoken on the phone with. You were supposed to put ice and water shield on all holes (even the large ones) and make the roof watertight. There was NOT ice and water shield on over half the holes and I still had to have another contractor to come over and strengthen the roof so that I didn't get additional water damage in the rain storm on Dec 23. The rep I spoke with on Tuesday, Dec 19 said they would be back in 48 hours, max to complete the repair work. That never happened and now here we are.

You didn't do what you said you would and I had to have ANOTHER roofer come to repair your work. I have now paid 2X for the damage I sustained. Sure you have my # now, so feel free to call me to discuss / rectify. So far, only discounts on an overpriced 50% roof replacement, but I want to discuss a partial refund for the work I feel you didn't complete as part of the $3,000 emergency charge.,

Total ripoff. Only interested in the money. Absolutely the worst contractor I have ever used. Don't have them do anything for you, you will regret it! My roof leak was not fixed yet I had to pay over $3,000. Then they refused to come back unless I paid them more money.

So we have been dealing with a very technical issue with our house that has been leaking on the side. I had one technician come in and he was an amazing person he identified the actual main area that was causing it on our metal roof (wasn't even close to what we the house owners thought ) it took him 3 tries because it was fixed such a technical job and it wasn't his fault because of the area he was working on had multiple points where it could be a problem. I'll put it like this. They get 5 stars because of this one employee who took time out to come back out and fix it. The company is very quick to take your money but scheduling a technician to come back out to fix the original issue within their 30 day warranty took a week or two at most mind you its not cheap to hire them. I was assured the job would be done, which was professional but I can see why people aren't happy. If it wasn't for this employee alone who loves his job and what he does. I don't think we would be in the same standing with this company tho. So! With that said the technician!

We had them install a flat roof which leaks we called for over a month no response. A wind storm happened and blew the rubber membrane loose. You call and no response. Paid close to 25k for poor workmanship. Terrible customer service will be contacting a lawyer and another roof company to replace there lousy work.

Reading these reviews it feels like he paid people or they are relatives. I got terrible service from this company. I hired them to do a new roof. All was ok until I got a leak and tried to contact them and the phone number was changed. After speaking with a former employee I got the new number and called. After numerous calls they finally send someone to fix leak charging me an additional fee. Then just short time it leaked again. That was in December of 2022. After at least at least 7 or 8 calls someone named Kevin answered the phone and I told him the problem. He asked me to text my contract and he would get back to me after looking at contract. NEVER called so I called him Jan 30 and Feb. 2023 Still no reply. I reported this company to BBB and they tried to contact them but they again never replied to BBB. This is no way to run a company by not addressing the problem and just ignoringthem. There are more than my complaint on BBB and where they didnt reply to others. I am an elderly women and feel taken advantage of and really do not want to see others have this happen to them.

Roof Masters of Windham, Me. Installed a shingle and rubber roof and there are multiple areas of large leaks. The roof is 6 years old with a 10 year warranty. 3-4 attempts were made to repair the roof but it's still leaking and has caused structural damage. Roof Masters will not take care of the problem. If you decide to use Roof Masters be prepared to take them to court to get any satisfaction after the job is done and hopefully your house won't suffered extensive water damage.

I really appreciate David and his crew for fixing my mobile home roof. I had called other companies for quotes but as soon as they heard it was a mobile home I never heard from them again.

I called Kevin to give me a quote for a small metal roof 12x34, during the initial quote phase i got return phone calls within a day.
After the roof was completed I was sent pictures of the completed job. Instead of new boots for the bath vents they used flex tape, the eaves and rakes were not done as described in the contract, protruding screws on the side eaves, trash left everywhere.
When I questioned it I was ghosted for weeks. Slow to no return calls. Kevin finally called me and told me he was super busy measuring up the big jobs and had not time for me the small guy, this is after i paid $3750 for the roof. He again said I don't bother with these small jobs, I wish I didn't take this job he said.. (so why bother quoting such a small job) With a company name like ROOF MASTERS in business for 70 years i expected better work and customer service. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of these fools who are only out for the $$

I noticed a leak in the roof of my bedroom and I needed someone to come and fix it before it got worse. I called David at Roof Masters in Windham and he sent out a great crew of people to do the roof repair I needed. They got it done in just a couple hours and it is just like new. I even referred them to my neighbor and my neighbor liked them too.

I called Roof Masters for my roof repair and they did an excellent job. They were on time and the repair only took a few hours. They cleaned up really well afterward and I havent found any nails or other debris in my yard so I am very happy.
