I called Coats to unclog my main toilet drain. The plumber unclogged the main drain but did not unclog the kitchen and washing machine drain. He said he did not have the correct augur with him and I could schedule another appointment. I would expect to have the kitchen and washing machine drain cleared for a fee over $600. I am not certain that I can afford another $600 and find that the drains still back up.

Two guys came out I was given a quote of 450 when it was all said and done I was charged 850 they used the wrong saw blade to get through cast iron which they struggled with for an hour and a half they were at my house for 5 hours and 55 minutes I was charged for an all day job then they broke the main line main water line and I was charged for the repair of that and time this is not a good business to go to find someone else

Three different guys over four days to get my Trane heat pump to cool. Blew Freon in the house from a bad solder joint. Used a no name TXV part on a Trane when I specifically said use a Trane part. Then it froze up again like the original issue. They tinkered with it until it cools. Winter comes and the heat pump goes into emergency heat at 45-59 deg F. Then when I call they say that if it's another problem then I have to pay for the service call. $800 to fix it and now you can't come over and check to see if the Freon psi is high or low. It's not just a service call, it's more Freon, leak detector, materials, etc. I would have never used these guys but the service call ended up being $150.00 so I continued with the repair. The Heat pump worked fine until they fixed the TXV value. They claim the TXV job is $1500 and "ONLY" charged me $800. Nationally average is $500. Coats Plumbing does not stand behind their work. My mistake for using a local company that thinks the customer is always wrong or trying to get something for nothing.

This review is for Coats Plumbing Service to change valves, supply lines and faucets throughout the house. Eddy came out and did an estimate prior; he was friendly, informative and professional. I had questions and concerns regarding the estimate and price. Eddy was happy to return my call and answer my questions. I sincerely appreciate and respect their willingness to suggest cost-saving measures and work with me on price. I would have gone elsewhere if they had not. Brandi in the office, was pleasant and responsive; she provided great customer service. I was extremely pleased with Eddy, Brian and Tony who performed the work. They were professional and respectful, providing helpful advice and feedback. They were careful to minimize risk of damage, and promptly cleaned up water and mess. I am very happy with the quality work they provided.

A thirty minute service call cost $256.69.
I had clogged main waste line between the clean out and city sewerline. There was easy and full access to the cleanout in the middle of the backyard and no issues or service inside the house.
They were able to dispatch a service technician (plumber) within about an hour. The plumber that showed up was very friendly and worked quickly. He ran the snake from our clean out to the city mainline which cleared the clog. Total work time was approximately 30 minutes from the time he pulled up until he drove off.
Now for the bad, mostly my fault but customers should be aware. I recieved a bill for $256.69 for the service call. It was not an itemized bill so I called the office to see about the itemized charges and was told that it is the standard amount for snaking a mainline. I would have never expected a simple call out for a known issue would have been so expensive. I should have asked for a quote but failed to do so. They provide good service but beware that they are expensive and you should absolutely request a quote and not be suprised when the bill comes.

Called about snaking a plugged up sewer line. I did not think to ask for price to do this. I figured maybe around $150.00. It was about $260.00 for less than an hour. They did fix problem, but they should let you know their flat rate for coming out. Won’t call them in the future for plumbing issues.

We’ve had pretty good luck! Always very friendly and work with our schedule. We have them service our ac/furnace and water softener.

They answered the phone, so they are already more attentive than most Artesia businesses. I needed a technician and none we're available, which is no surprise for Artesia. The thing that was frustrating is that no one has called to reschedule or confirm another visit. I will probably reschedule with the other plumber in town unless I hear back this week, though I won't hold my breath.

We have called this company for a variety of issues from a simple swamp cooler, to a clogged line. Not a single time have they fixed the issue. Not to mention they did nothing but break pipes and install faulty motors saying everything was good to go. The sink pipes would leak from them not tightening the nut correctly, and they even told me they couldn't do anything without tearing a giant whole in my wall to get to the main line. I have a service hatch that goes under the house for that. 0/10 service

Mike was our plumber. He was great. Worked on a leak and our garbage disposal. He was polite, left everything clean upped, and working like new. They got me in fast too.

Coats Plumbing and HVAC is a great company! We have had our HVAC unit under contract with them for several years. Always polite, considerate and professional.

We had coats come out almost two years ago and replace the whole inside unit of our ac/heater with the exception of the coils. After installation within the first two weeks our system was freezing up. They came out several times and each time they said it was low on Freon. One time they came out the guy said that the last guy to come and try and fill the Freon worked for the plumbing side of the company and that he didn’t know what he was doing. Why you would send a plumber to work on the ac? They added Freon and that never helped. For two years we have been running window units in the warm weather and portable heater and our fireplace for heat. We replaced the blower motor with a larger one one thinking it was not getting enough air flow. We have inspected all the duct work and replaced the crossover. With the cold weather coming we decided to look at the duct work again. My husband crawled under the house and everything was intact properly so he decided to pull the blower motor out and look down at the hole directly under the unit. To his surprise when they installed the unit they set a filter over the hole and the unit on top of that. There was over an inch of dirt on top of that filter and was not getting airflow at all. We were not aware there was a filter there because you have to pull the whole unit to change it. We live in the country and have to replace our filter almost ever week in the warm season and twice a month in the cold. My husband cut the filter out and our ac and heater work like brand new. I don’t know why they thought it would be a good idea to place a filter under a unit where it can not be changed out. I am very disappointed with the service of this company. I will not be referring anyone else to them.

I had a horrible experience with Crouch Plumbing and they could not commit for 3 days on whe. They could come help. I made a call to Coats At closing time and literally within 10 mins there was a very professional and knowledgeable tech at my door. He found the problem in literally 2 mins and refilled my Freon in the AC unit and had me up and running again! I highly highly highly recommend them for all your HVAC and plumbing needs. Well organized, fast response, and genuine people! Thank you Coats Plumbing you honestly made my day better. Do yourself a favor and don’t use Crouch Plumbing because another one of there excuses was that they have been in business for many decades and didn’t need my business anyway!

Coats Plumbing has always been fast to get to any need. Very professional group of people and easy to work with. Always smiling and you can tell they enjoy their work.

Had my AC quit working early this summer and the guys came over and got in running within the hour. The service was excellent and I would recommend them to anyone!

Called in the morning with a clogged drain, they were at my house in about an hour. They were fast and fixed the problem. They also recommended further preventable treatment that would save us money down the road. I would recommend Coat's Plumbing.

It's difficult to find a good, reliable plumbing company. The friendly folks at Coats plumbing did an excellent job at a very reasonable price.. I would recommend them to anyone!

The guys over at Coats came out and diagnosed a problem with my shower in 15 minutes after another company spent 2 days trying to figure it out! They were clean, neat and very nice! My first call next time!

My AC unit went out right in the middle of summer and these guys had someone out there the same day to fix it. Fast service and a cool house.

I called on a Friday to get a quote. I was told that the soonest they could come and give me a quote to install a water softener would be Monday. They do not work on the weekend. The young man did not sound like he wanted to come out and give me a quote because it was cold out?

They talk a good game during the quote, but when it comes time to work, they start cutting corners. They bid us to run the gas line around the yard, and went straight through it, without informing us before, leaving us in a pinch to find a place for our dog (since we also could not leave her inside, because of the bug bombing under the house, which they also forgot to mention). Going through the back yard, they tore up black top around the fence, and when the day was done, they said the fence and yard would stay like that for a few days (again, this was not previously mentioned) i will never use them again.
