Doing a remodel project when you are not present can be a huge challenge.Eric (Coastal View Construction) helped us navigate all the details. He gave us all the contacts we would need for tile, cabinets and other materials. Eric kept us informed with regular communications via texts, email and phone calls. We also received progress pictures. Eric is a problem solver with attention to detail. He repeatedly stated he wanted us to be happy with the finished product. As well as being a highly skilled contractor, Eric also holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering which I can tell you over my years of employing contractors is an invaluable asset when when building or remodeling. I have never undertaken a project 2,500 miles away before and was very apprehensive in doing so, but with Eric’s credentials, attention to detail, and excellent communication I knew we picked the right contractor. The project which was a complete remodel of a two bedroom two bath condo, was beautifully constructed and finished well within our timeframe. It was only supply chain issues that everyone has to deal with these days, that delayed the project by only a few weeks. High Quality Construction and Finishes, On time and On Budget

We used Eric and Coastal Construction when remodeling our one bedroom Golf Villa in West Maui. Eric and crew did high quality work, with special attention to details and finishes.
Eric took care of the tile, carpeting, new appliances, new air conditioning duct work and last minute issues that sprung up including washer/dryer wiring and an outdated hot water heater.
Eric also managed the appliance deliveries and carpeting. Not living full-time in Maui it was very convenient to work with Eric as he was excellent at communicating daily issues, obstacles, and most importantly solutions.
He grew up in Maui and understands the pro’s and con’s of doing construction work on the island. We had appliance and furniture delivery issues due to supply chain delays and Eric was able to find substitutes to fit within our construction timelines prior to the Holidays.

Eric came highly recommended by our building management and real estate agent, and he did not disappoint. We had Eric remodel our bathroom showers, replace our tile floors, update all our windows and install a new AC system. His workmanship is great as well as his communication. We were very happy with the end result and the project was completed on time and on budget. When it is time for our next project we will be calling Eric again.

Coastalview handled a full remodel of my two bedroom condo in Kapalua. Eric worked very well with the condo board to manage approval of the remodel and stayed in touch with me during the process. He has excellent contacts on Maui for building materials such as tile, cabinets, and lighting. Eric is easy to work with and is great at creative problem solving. The project stayed on track for completion, even during the pandemic. Great quality and excellent communication made the remodel easier than I'd imagined, especially considering it was done while I was on the mainland.

Eric, the contractor, remodeled the bathroom and kitchen of our Kaanapali condo. His estimates for the jobs were reasonable, and he had great ideas to improve overall function and appearance of the remodels. He added small touches as he completed the projects, which were really pleasant surprises. The quality of his work is good and he completed on time .

We had Eric Ernisse of Coastal View Construction install new flooring in our Papakea two bedroom two bath condo. We also had him replace three sets of sliding glass mirror doors. Workmanship throughout was top-notch. Although there were some delays becuase of other projects, this was during Covid-related shutdown so we let Eric know we were completely flexible on timing. Many visitors have commented on how good the flooring looks. I would not hesitate to use Coast View Construction again.

I have practiced law for 46 years, and have witnessed many construction disputes and know how many ways things can go wrong. Eric sidestepped all pitfalls through hard work, intelligent planning and scheduling while at the same time anticipating problems. Having excellent subcontractors who he trusted and who trusted him gave us a product that we are extremely proud of. Eric also spent extra time finding quality materials at the best price. He was an excellent communicator and billed fairly for his services. We couldn't have been happier. Oh, did I mention to you that he performed all of his magic without us once being on site? Pretty amazing.

Eric was great. First project was installation of new louvered windows and redesign of built-in entertainment center. So happy with work that we had him handle complete remodel of kitchen (new cabinets, appliances, countertops, plumbing and electrical). Very happy with quality of work. Would highly recommend.
