We had an issue with our class B sprinter van on a Sunday, the first day of a month long trip. I called a couple rv repair places but no answer. So when we finally made it to our first destination I looked again on the internet to find a repair business. I called Coastal and immediately the owner Shawn answered. He sounded so positive and came to us in an hour. He worked to get the problem solved and said he'd be back to finish it. The next morning he persisted and solved the issue. He was so pleasant and focused on getting our rig working again. We highly recommend him.

Really nice and knowledgeable and a lot of patience for have to come out and help me with my sink leaking after 7 pm and the cost very reasonable.

Sean came and worked on our motorhome for us,, he was awesome! came at 7 o’clock at night , there for a couple hours! No complaining about a long day ! Fixed everything perfectly and efficiently! Friendly dispatcher and great mechanic came out after hours to repair our trailer. Up front pricing and quick work. Even helped with paperwork so I could submit warranty reimbursement. Would definitely recommend if in the Astoria area. They are great.

Sean and Chris came out after 8:00pm to assist me and my family moving across country on military orders. Not only did they arrive, no questions asked, with little notice, but services were also extremely affordable considering this field of work. I can’t say enough about this company. Professional, honest, and timely. After taking a really hard bump with our fifth wheel, we were concerned with the safety of the hitch. What we thought would be a 30 minute to an hour max 12 volt converter swap turned in to an hour and a half and still needed more work (purchased before hand). He made us feel like priority even though it made him on tighter schedule. He came back today and spent another hour with us finshing up the electrical and looking at some of our other concerns. We have a 45 foot motor home and we had developed a small leak in the freshwater system in the wet bay. It was beginning to get progressively worse as time went on and I had an appointment in Kent WA at a service center but was concerned that the leak was going to continue to get worse. Sean came out when he said he would. I knew that it wasn’t going to be an easy fix but he dealt with it professionally. He even apologized for the bill but it was what I was expecting and prepared for. We are very grateful that he was available and would recommend him highly.

We are so very appreciative of Coastal Field Service! One of our worst fears happened when we went to bring in our slides on our RV before a planned day of travel. One slide, which had been recently repaired (elsewhere) 3 times, once again failed to move -- neither in nor out. We got an immediate reply to our text message to Coastal Field Service (on a Sunday!), and we were kept updated with an estimated arrival time. The problem was diagnosed, and resolved, and we were given explanations of what the problem was that hadn't been properly fixed elsewhere, along with being shown what was wrong and what the fix was. We also got some lubrication tips for the Schwintek slides. We could not be more pleased (& relieved) to have the problem fixed so quickly.

We were camping and had a hot water issue. Called and he was there in 2 hours. Fabulous service. Very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend!!!

Big Tiffin diesel pusher had alternator failure, shredding the serpentine belt. Thus, i cannot move. Documentation for this is horrible. Lucky for me, a guy like Sean was able to squeeze me into his busy schedule, doing research to find the right belt and making multiple trips of considerable distance. Patient and professional, Sean crawled up into that engine hole repeatedly. He is DA MAN! If you have a problem, try to get him first. I would have happily paid more than he charged me. He's that good.

Excellent service! Technician was out as quickly as he could make it during a heat wave to repair the AC in my elderly mother in law’s trailer. She lives in the trailer and desperately needed the AC operating for her safety in the extreme heat. Very reasonably priced service, promptly answered the emergency call, and fixed the issue in one trip. We will be using their services again and highly recommend.

Quick to respond, quick to come to my home for service. It ended up I had to replace my refrigerator, but the tech did great in all the trouble shooting that was needed.

Sean was awesome! Came out within 24 hours and saved us from aborting our entire RV trip of a couple months at the beginning. Fixed a slide that was busted (Schwintek should NOT be used for applications over 20' in length), and we hadn't gotten good answers on from the dealer, manufacturer, or repair shops. No trips to the shop, a month wait for parts, just expert analysis, a well stocked mobile truck, and great explanations for how our slide system worked. Then flip the override, get it moving, lube it up, and give us some more pointers for future operations. And he serviced a couple other things that needed it without being asked. Huge!

A major breakdown requiring serious repair work brought us to him and throughout the experience we were treated with the dignity and respect one would expect of someone who cares about their customers. Sean was fantastic. Not some tech that comes out and diagnose then goes away for week’s waiting for parts. Via my explanation of my issues he brought the necessary parts and did the repairs. Overall it was as cost effective as taking it to the shop even at the emergency repair rate.

If you need help, Coastal's the only one to call!! We were leaving Fort Stevens State Park, towing our travel trailer back to Seattle, after spending last week camping. Our power tongue jack would not raise or lower the trailer. We searched the internet for a mobile repair company and found Coastal Field Service. We sure are glad we did! Within 30 minutes, Sean showed up with his impressive, well outfitted truck & went to work. First trying to keep our cost down by repairing our jack. Ultimately, it required a new replacement. He was able to secure the part, install it quickly, and had us on the road to Seattle in no time! I can’t say thank you enough times to this company and all they did for my kids and I. We were seriously freezing as my furnace and power were out in my trailer! I had been waiting a month to get them fixed through the dealer I purchased the trailer from. I reached a breaking point as my kids and I were so cold and called coastal field service who came to our aid immediately. What great folks who truly have a heart and aren’t in it for just the money. Highly recommend to anyone in need. 10 star review. This company will be the first I call if I have any issues. Sean fixed my trailer so quickly and I trust that it’s much safer now than before. I bought it brand new but unfortunately it was put together so poorly that the wiring in here could of potentially caused a fire at some point. Came to Astoria from New Jersey for a load and my truck just cut off on me after getting loaded at the dock. Called around and no one were able to help me out. Long story short got in contact with Sean Friddle. And he showed up and fixed my electrical problem. Very pleasant and fast. 100/10 would DEFINITELY recommend!! We were very lucky to have Sean help us with an electrical problem on our truck/camper as we travelled from Canada to Southern California. We were in Astoria OR when we blew the fuse to the turn signals and brake lights and we weren’t sure if the problem was with the camper or the truck. Many mechanics’ bays were not high enough to accommodate the camper on the truck and would have made it difficult to diagnose and cure the problem. Fortunately we were introduced to Sean who came by in an hour and started working on the problem. We thought we had a solution a couple hour later but then as we drove the same issue happened again. We contacted Sean and he came out straight away and worked on our truck and camper in the local Home Depot car park and finally solved the problem. He even asked us to call him the next day if we had problems as he worked as far south as Tillamook. Sean has a very professional and pragmatic approach to getting the job done. I’d highly recommend him to anyone caught with vehicle problems while travelling in the area.

We recently ran into a bit of trouble with the water heater in the RV and were fortunate to find Sean from Coastal and get his help. He is knowledgeable and knew just what repair was needed, so it only took 10-15 minutes. We don’t live in the greater Astoria area or we would be regular customers. Recommend!

We were on our first leg of a 6 week trip to the Oregon Coast. Our fridge was working on gas only and spotty to say the least. We called Coastal from Portland letting them know where we were headed in Astoria. He came out and diagnosed the issue. He had to go purchase the board he needed and returned the following morning with replacement parts. He got it fixed and six weeks later we have arrived back home with no further problems with the fridge! Sean was courteous, polite and professional. There’s a reason he has perfect reviews! While staying in Warrenton, OR. a squall rolled in while we were out for lunch. Our 5th wheel’s awning was out when this occurred. Big mistake! The frame was trashed, broken, and bent beyond repair. The wind continued and we feared some of the metal might shake free and hurt someone. We called Coastal, explained the situation, they were here at our campsite within 40 minutes! Also, it was still windy and raining sideways. Our serviceman was able to remove what remained of the awning structure in these conditions and now the situation is safe, and we will be able to drive home to properly replace the awning. They deserve the top rating.

Very pleased with the service Sean gave us. We didn't know who to call, but with the help of some new park hosts we met, he came by after taking care of their repairs and got our hydraulic slides up and running again in no time at all! Price was fair and we are so grateful that he took the time to stop in and help us.

Sean from Coastal Field Services is a life saver. We were 2300 miles from home in a state park with a broken break drum mangled brakes and ruined bearings on our travel trailer. We called Sean at 9am and he came out that afternoon late and worked on it only to find out he didn't have the parts to fix it. He came back the next morning and got us on our way back home.Thank you Sean!

Les Schwab checked my breaks for me 2 weeks ago. When they put my tires back on, they did not torque the lug nuts properly. So yes while driving the 101 my dually tires fell off going 55mph. The lug nuts came off and sheared off the wheel studs flat. There was no way to just put my tires back on.
This was terrifying as a solo female traveler.
The tow truck company said they could tow me an hour away to a mechanic shop but that I would need to sign a liability waiver because my rig is so heavy, it may cause frame damage. That was highly concerning!
The tow was also going to be $2,500.
I felt stranded.
By a miracle I found Sean. I had no idea a service like his was offered. That someone can come to me and get me on the road again. It was a holiday, and in the evening. Sean ran around to multiple shops to gather the parts I needed which was difficult since it was a holiday and most shops were closed.
His efforts did not go unnoticed. I would have been totally screwed if it weren’t for Sean.
His price is more than fair! In fact, give him a little extra he deserves it!
He works way too hard but I was so so grateful. I was back on the road in 24 hours.

My gut feeling that this company would be an honest and fair company started with the first call I made. The lady who answered the phone was kind, and calmed me down as I had discovered a water leak inside my motorhome during the rain last week.Sean, the owner came that day, and the next days rain brought no leaks after he fixed it. Today, Sean and his helper Brian, just left my motorhome again, this time replacing a over the stove convection/microwave and replacing a new smart TV for me. Again, reliable, courteous, and knowledgeable, they completed the work in a timely fashion, and didn’t take advantage of this 73 year old lady by charging an exorbitant price. The labor price was fair. I’ve been full time RVING for 10 years, and I have come across repairman that have gouged me and not even fixing what needed to be fixed. I am so grateful that I found Coastal Fields repair, and now I know that when I come back every summer, if something in my RV goes wrong, I will know just who to call. Sean arrived as promised, on time, to check out our refrigerator. Ran checks on the system and confirmed that system was recovering from severe power outage. Charges were reasonable and no time wasted. He even took off his shoes when he needed to come into our RV.

Our RV fridge quit working on our new motorhome when we were two weeks into our month long trip from Colorado to Oregon. Contacted CFS who said they'd be out within a couple of hours. However, after waiting three hours, hubby called them. They apologized, saying there had been a mix up, and would be out in an hour. A little over an hour, and they arrived. He checked everything over, and found that all systems were working correctly, but the refrigerant was low, explaining how the fridge worked, and that they were not able to make this type of repair. He was packing up, my husband asked for a bill, and he said he wouldn't charge due to the response mix up! He even told us they would provide a service report if needed to submit to the fridge manufacturer (which they did), also at no charge.

So refreshing to find businesses who hold themselves accountable. The waiting did mess up our day a bit, but stuff happens. Ultimately, we got an answer as to why the fridge wasn't working, and were able to contact manufacturer to get the ball rolling for a fridge replacement after we arrived home. Kudos to Coast Field Services. Definitely recommend them.

On our way to Seaside from Portland, Oregon our Newmar Ventana had a solid check engine indicator light on (we were freaked out)
Not sure how we should handle this, we called around until we founded Sean from Coast Field Service Mobile RV. He was busy, busy, busy. We had to only wait a few days (lucky). He showed up when he said he would, preformed his magic and fixed our problem.

Our trailer’s leaf springs broke in between destinations on a long road trip, and we were stressing out! Sean called us back in short order the night we called him, and kept us posted for the following two days while we waited for the parts and his availability. (We were settled in to our campground safely, so not a big rush). He came out around 7:00pm and worked on it until past 10:30pm (our rig was being a pain) until it was 100% repaired. The bill was at least HALF of what we expected! I highly recommend this business!

So nothing is as nerve wracking as breaking down on a road trip, especially when you are at the furthest point in your trip and do not know who to call for help, and it's a Saturday night so all the local mechanics are closed the next day. Thankfully Coastal Field Service answered my call! My 97 RV broke down at Nehalem State Beach and when Sean answered he was so friendly and assured me he would come out that night and get us ready for the road the next day. Our location was over an hour from his home base. It was raining and late but he showed up to our camp spot at 10pm and got my RV running and ready to go. Once done I was worried about cost (since you really can not say no to getting the help you need when in that position) and was thrilled with how affordable he was. He did not take advantage of our situation at all and was honest and so friendly. I would recommend to anyone traveling in the area. Our warranty provider found Coastal on a Saturday morning to service our concern regarding a burning electrical/plastic smell. We were serviced within a couple of hours and they found a "near miss" electrical fire that had melted some wires, end caps, and the housing. We were shown the problem and even reminded to take pictures for evidence. This service was amazing, professional, and far exceeded the service we usually get in the RV world. It's hard to trust a lot of people these days but Coastal earned my trust 100%!

The wiring in our RV started to burn up. Scary. We called and Costal came out shortly after being call. Repaired damaged wiring and replaced parts that could have contributed to future risks. He explained the process as he went.

This man has integrity and takes pride in what he does. I highly recommend him!!!…. 2nd review, 8 months later (yes, really). So another gas station breakdown, who is our first call, Sean at Coastal. I called no one else! And once again, after quickly diagnosing the problem, Sean fixed the problem and sent us on our way. What more good can I say about him. He is our RV angel!

We read the reviews on Sean and his service so we called him. The 5 star reviews are spot on! He was so responsive and professional. We discovered that we had no heat at our first night in Fort Steven's. He came out and fixed this the next morning. We also had issues with our electric winch and he came back and worked on this before we left. He was so good we decided that even though we live in Portland when we want any RV Service this is who we will call.
And in addition to all of this, he was just a great guy who just likes to solve problems!

We had a slid jump gears and not extend out all the way while in Seaside Oregon. I know how to fix this but not the cause. Sean came to our location the next day and corrected what the dealership couldn’t do. A smart knowledgeable gentleman that got us back on the road. Thanks a bunch!!
