Two years now and no leaks and loss by the wind which is fierce in East Pierce County. It really dresses up the house!!

My Coast Exteriors roof is the worst roof I have ever experienced in my life. I have measured noise levels inside the house due to rain and thermal expansion at 80+ decibels. That is continuous roof noise at the volume of a busy downtown street, a hairdryer, or a garbage disposal and can damage hearing if exposed for an extended period. Any time it rains or the sun comes out, the roof sounds like it is exploding. The roof also leaks in numerous places during downpours. Bob brushed off all the roof noise as something to just be expected. I would never recommend a Coast Exteriors roof to anyone.

Not all metal roofs are inherently so horrible and noisy. Multiple independent roofers inspected my roof and said the issues with my Coast Exteriors roof were due to poor quality, poor workmanship, and cutting corners. They said the roof could not be fixed and that if I don't want 80+ decibel rain noise across the entire roof and constant loud popping and cracking across the entire roof every time the sun comes out, the entire roof would have to be replaced.

I am stuck with an extremely low-quality Coast Exteriors metal roof which is recommended by multiple roofers to be replaced <10% into its life. This roof is less than five years old but Bob could not tell me any details because he said all of their paperwork burned up in a fire. I guess Coast Exteriors has not yet joined the digital age.

This new roof on my house was one of the biggest selling points of this house, but this Coast Exteriors roof is actually the worst part about the entire property. The roofers who inspected my roof all emphasized that not all metal roofs are this horrible, just this Coast Exteriors roof.

I feel a strong moral obligation to warn unsuspecting homeowners so others don't wind up trapped under a Coast Exteriors roof as well.

Thank you to Bob and team my mothers roof is replaced just in time for winter.
This group of professionals is so good that 1) fit us into their busy schedule due to the critical nature of my mother's roof; 2) Assessed the whole roof and building structure and recommend a easy to follow plan to get it fixed; 3) Got in and got it all taken care in a single day.
Price is fair and doing business with them is easy!

I can’t say enough positive remarks about Coast Exteriors. They offer more than any other roofing company, by far. I don’t just mean costs’, and product options although they’re are plenty of those. I’m talking about service standards, guarantees, professionalism, and integrity. Bob Ohara and his crew will be on time, dressed in uniform, polite, efficient, and clean. Their skill and craftsmanship is also unmatched. Even if you’re not expecting to install a metal roof, I STRONGLY suggest requesting a bid from Coast Exteriors. You’ll be surprised at the competitiveness of their costs and their knowledge of all things roofing.

Bob and his crew did an excellent job on our metal roof. It looks really sharp! Definite curb appeal. They were able to fix some warped sheath boards without having to tear off and replace everything which saved us some money. We like that he has a twenty year workmanship warranty and that we essentially never have to worry about our roof again. That is a good feeling.

This review is long overdue. We had our roof done by these guys and it was awesome. I feel bad not providing a review sooner. I had a neighbor ask me who did our roof and it prompted me to get their contact info to provide a referral.

We received a quality roof at a price that was easy for us to pay. The work crew was clean and courteous. The only problem with this company is that we couldn't hire them to do everything. We wish there were more contractors like these. Great contractors are very difficult to find.

We recommend.

Bob and his team did a fantastic job putting a new roof on my house. He was honest with the pricing of the work that had to be done with my house, including tearing off two layers, repairing parts of the roof structure, and putting on the new roof itself. The quality of their workman ship is amazing, so much so that my neighbor came over and asked for his business card while they were installing the new roof on my house. My house now looks a million times better than it did and I couldn't be happier with the new roof and the job they did. I only have positive things to say about this company. If you are looking to put a new roof on you're house, give Coast Exteriors a call. They are an honest company who does amazing work, and I am glad I picked them for the job.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
