We had a very good experience with Clean In Between earlier this month. The two-person crew was polite, friendly and very respectful of our home. They worked hard to wash the house siding, soffits, decks, posts and rails. In addition, they washed our windows inside and out and washed our screens as well. The quality and speed was impressive and the price made it an excellent value. Will not hesitate to use this company again.

After the initial cleaning of our carpets, we were very disappointed with the results. Tanner came out, acknowledged something had gone wrong and came out three additional times to make it right. While I still wish it had gone as expected the first time, we were pleased with the responsiveness of the company and their efforts.

Did all my windows inside and out.....some big ones that are way high up and a lot of Andersen casements. Every groove and every track was brushed clean and then scrubbed so they work like new. Glass sparkles. Windows seem to have disappeared letting the outside light in. SO much better than before they were done! Not inexpensive but well worth it!

The technicians were prompt, courteous, and efficient. The carpets look great and smell fresh. They took a bit longer to dry than I expected, but overall a very good experience!

They staff is very thorough and professional when they come to clean my 1 bedroom, 1.5 bath home. What happened at my last service date which caused me to single Jessica and Alex specifically is that these wonderful people found my husband’s wedding ring which had be lost for weeks. Beware of their business model of quoting you a rate per cleaning, yet charging you an astronomical amount more for the first clean “just to get it up to our standard, it always takes longer on first clean.” This applies even if you specifically refuse all of their deep cleaning services such as baseboards and emphasize you just want a standard clean. They refuse to set a ceiling ahead of time on exactly how much more it will cost. … and it’s a lot. Kind of like an enrollment fee at a gym.

Clean In Between did an excellent job power washing my house and roof. They offered the best price after getting quotes from several companies. Came in as scheduled - no glitches. Kept their word on everything. I highly recommend them.

This was there first time cleaning carpets in a large home that I manage. The guys did a beautiful job. Tanner set the guys up and all were very pleasant to work with. I highly recommend them and will do so to all my clients.

Have to give a fantastic review to Clean in Between, company in Westbrook. We recently had painting done in our house, they removed registers to air ducts and pointed out how dust filled they were. We called our AC/furnace company, Wilcox for a recommendation.
We are so impressed with professional service, called to say they would a few minutes late (wow) they covered all floor areas, wore shoe covers, vacuumed all ducts from attic (the machine was so powerful) sanitized the ducts, and soaked all the registers covers. They were here for 4 1/2 hours. Vacuumed the whole house floors even though they were covered! The price was so reasonable! Can’t say enough about them, all companies should be this great!

I hired Chris last summer to deep clean some carpets after we moved into our home, and at the time he had mentioned that they also clean tile and hardwood floors. At the time I had declined as we were still setting things up and settling in. This spring we are going to be welcoming our son and I thought, hey maybe I should have this company come back and do another carpet cleaning as right now I can only do so much with my bissel. I had them also clean my grout and tiles and I am AMAZED at my floors! It’s almost like new!
10/10 would love to have these guys come back.

The team cleaned several large pieces of upholstered furniture, along with a couple of area rugs, for us. Not only was everyone courteous and professional, but they even managed to eradicate the embedded dog hair provided by our two Golden Retrievers. Great job!

It is with no hesitation that I write this note of appreciation to Clean in Between for the power washing of the exterior of my home. The north side of my home was covered with green mold to the extent that it looked like a green ivy had been planted there. The green mold is gone. The black mold was on the west side of the house. Gone!
I usually scrub my deck with a combination of bleach, simple green and very hot water. No getting the mop and pail this time. I didn’t realize my deck and furniture were part of the bargain. Table, chairs and even my favorite lounge chair were invitingly clean. No more Cinderella! Thank you Clean In Between. I’m getting ready for the big interior clean next!

I hired Clean In Between for a construction clean up recently. Samantha, the estimator came out that day, bid the job and got a crew of three ladies out the next day. Most of the mess was in my bedroom. My father was at home during the time they were there. After I returned home the next day, I noticed that there was a huge problem. I have had a crucifix on my nightstand for 23 years. A priest handed it to me the day of my mother’s funeral. I noticed that the Jesus was missing from the crucifix. I was notably upset. I searched everywhere and could not find it. I called their office and left a detailed voicemail. The next day, the owner Darcee called me and left me a voicemail apologizing. She said that she “would sit all three ladies down on Monday morning and get to the bottom of this.” She said protocol was to immediately call the office if they broke something. This did not happen. As I was bringing in my garbage can that Friday morning, I noticed one small garbage bag in the trash receptacle. I thought it was odd since the garbage truck came early (thankfully) and they left a lone trash bag. Upon opening that bag, I discovered the cleaning crew’s used gloves and used paper towels. Digging further, I discovered a clear plastic bag. In that bag was the Jesus that was missing from my crucifix. I was stunned. The cleaning crew is instructed not to leave garbage on the customers property. Somehow this was the only bag left behind. I reported this to Darcee. Days later on a Wednesday, I called their office to follow up since no one had gotten back to me. I spoke with Samantha. She admitted that one of the ladies broke the crucifix and that she wasn’t sure why she didn’t call it in and report it. She said that the cleaning woman’s “intention was to return it to the office, hence the clear bag, and somehow it ended up in the trash.” She said she was glad I found it and asked if I had it repaired. Unfortunately it cannot be repaired. I let her know this and her response was dismissive. There was no offer to compensate my loss (although I’m not sure how they could possibly compensate me for such a loss). The owner never called me back. I find it horrific that they took no responsibility for their actions. The cleaning crew had many opportunities to report the incident (they could have told my father who was in the next room. They could have followed company protocol and call it in to the office.). Instead, they took something so special to me, removed it from my property (some could call that stealing) and threw it in the garbage. In summary, this company should be ashamed of themselves. I would obviously never use them again. I have decided to dispute the charges made to my credit card and I am hoping for a positive result.

Clean in Between deep cleaned my mothers home today. Her house was sparkling when job was finished. The staff was fabulous. They were polite and extremely hard working. I highly recommend them if you want your cleaning done right!!

I have used Clean in Between's services at my home for many years. I have always found the staff to be courteous, prompt and professional. When I ask for certain areas to be cleaned a specific way, they have always listened. The office staff is always friendly and professional as well. Highly recommend.

Hired Clean in Between to do a deep clean of one of my apartment units. The employees that came were incredibly professional very diligent and did an absolute amazing job would recommend 10 out of 10.

I did not have a good experience with their services, and their customer service is rude. The only help I got was from Samantha. Otherwise, I was told they "had never put so much effort into a property" because I was inquiring about lost towels and bed linens at my short term rental. They even left one of my beds without a fitted sheet, did not say anything to me until i brought it up that a guest was disappointed (I would've been too!) Even better, when I cancelled their services, they "lost" my laminated cleaning manual I had made for my property. I waited 3 months with a new company to write this review: and I have not had ONE lost towel or bed sheet since switching cleaners.

Sorry to have to look elsewhere after years as a loyal customer :(.

It's a genuine shame when a company like Clean in Between -- that was once focused on quality service and commitment to their long-time customers -- is now too busy to even return phone calls about property damage and customer dissatisfaction.

We've been using Clean In Between in Westbrook to clean our house for years and, up until lately, had been very happy with their performance. We've used them twice in the past few months, and both times have been "rush" jobs -- they're missing the attention to detail that we used to love about them.

Moreover, on their most recent trip to our house, they inexplicably used industrial cleaning spray directly on several refridgerator dry-erase planners and calendars that my wife spends hours creating each month to keep our family organized. Not only did this ruin the dry erase, but the cleaning solution wiped out weeks and weeks of upcoming events that she had meticulously laid out on the schedule.

I have no idea where someone's head would be at to see a wall of schedules written on calendars and then spray industrial cleaner on them. Maybe they were sniffing the cleaning solution as well?!

My wife tried reaching out to the Clean In Between management, even sending them photos, to let them know how disappointed she was and how this had cost her many hours of work. No one ever responded to her.

This, along with the lackluster performance their cleaning crews have displayed on recent trips, likely means we'll no longer be using Clean In Between.

There are some good alternative companies and individuals that do quality, trustworthy housekeeping in and around the shoreline; I'd strongly recommend you call them before Clean In Between damages your property as well.

I am not familiar with their cleaning services, but I am familiar with their driving. Twice I was almost hit in front of their business because apparently they all need to pull out on the road together regardless if there is traffic. I wouldn't use this company simply for the fact that they can't obey simple road laws, which makes me think would they care about any restrictions I had.

After 7 months of construction at our home we just bought and running our business , we finally admitted we need professionals to come help keep our home clean . The team that came did a phenomenal job, very thorough! So pleased with the initial interview with Darcie, she answered my many questions and was able to get us scheduled quickly. In addition they used environmentally friendly cleaning methods, we were very happy with that!

We needed a professional cleaning service for our new condo that had renovations. It was full of dust and small debris. Owner Darcy came to the house, assessed our needs, and estimated total cost on the same day. The price was reasonable -- and I never could have done the work myself.She was thorough, asked good questions and reflected our agreement in the proposal. Quick processing of our deposit. There was verification of our date and confirmation of arrival time by email and phone.

The team of three women who cleaned our new home were terrific. They worked as a team, sharing tasks, helping each other out> They arrived with all supplies, cleaning equipment and materials. They NEVER stopped. They were efficient, thorough and responded with good cheer when we asked for some additional tasks.

The actual cost was less than the estimate. Tiffany, a supervisor, came both in the morning to assure there was mutual understanding and after the team finished to assure work was done to our satisfaction. I couldn't have asked for more or better service. That you, Clean-In-Between. I highly recomnmend.

This shoreline cleaning business gets high marks for their organization and communication's. I found them easy and reliable for return of phone calls and quotations. I had asked for quotes on deep house cleaning, deep carpet cleaning, and windows (tilt-in windows). Their pricing for the deep house cleaning was (I felt) a bit high, but pricing for the other services seemed competitive.

I was raised in New York City in the service industry. I have high expectations. Clean in Between’s customer service is excellent at the office, the three ladies that came and did a deep clean (in a house that needed a deep clean and hadn’t been lived in for a few months) were excellent, efficient, quick thorough and professional. I have also used Clean in Between’s dumpster service and the pick up and drop off was instantaneous and easy. I am so impressed with the whole operation. Thank you for making my life easier!

I am extremely disappointed with how my experience with Clean In Between (CIB) turned out. I sought a quote from them in prior to returning to a full-time job. The owner was very responsive and arrived same-day to begin putting together a quote. I sought out 3 separate quotes from companies that were licensed and insured. CIB’s initial cleaning quote was substantially higher than the other companies:
CIB: $665-775
Others: $400-$600
CIB’s bi-weekly cleaning fees were slightly less. I asked that we forgo cleaning our finished basement, which CIB said would decrease our initial clean estimate by about $92 (dropping the estimate to $573-683). Our final Bill for the first clean was just under $800, my house was picked-up prior to cleaning, so there was no excess filth like dirty dishes to account for extra time. They forgot to clean part of the stairwell, I re-mopped the kitchen floor because there were places still visibly dirty. someone turned on the sink in our master bath and walked away, the sink overflowed, flooded the bathroom floor and leaked through the ceiling in the kitchen. Because of this I decided to let the lapses in cleaning go, figuring that there was a bit of chaos and things got forgotten. It seemed like CIB was going to be very helpful getting our ceiling restored. Had that been the case, they would have earned a glowing review and recommendations to anyone who asked.
We had a contractor we had used before for a quote to fix the problem. CIB thought this was too high, and sent their contractor to look at the problem, their estimate was less than half the cost, but when we asked for a business card, Business name, contractors license, website, photographs, or other proof of legitimacy CIB was unwilling to provide that information. They did, however, accuse us of trying to scam them. We proceeded to have two additional contractors provide estimates, which came back nearly identical to the first estimate we solicited.
After difficult back and forth CIB agreed to proceed with one of our estimates. I had been having CIB continue with bi-weekly cleans, but those were mediocre at best; debris left under kitchen cabinets and in the grout between tiles gave me the impression that vacuums were not run prior to mopping hard surfaces. Once we finally got the contractor in to fix the ceiling I delayed several cleanings first because the contractor was working in the kitchen, then because my husband was working nights and didn’t want his sleep disrupted. The Contractor did a lovely job on the ceiling, but he had to repeatedly ask me if I’d heard anything from CIB about his final payment (deposit took several weeks to arrive so he could start work), because it took them so long to pay the deposit and the contractor had gone several weeks without payment, I kept our account with CIB open so I could try to hold them responsible. He finally confirmed payment 5-6 weeks after he had sent his final invoice.
I had been planning to simply close our account and move on without reviewing. But, last contact, I called to skip a cleaning due to my husband being on nights and to ask about the status of the contractor’s payment, the owner, understandably frustrated with me, proceeded to chew me out for being extremely rude, the exact conversation was: “Would you like to just close your account?” Me: “Yes, but I would like to make sure our contractor gets paid” CIB: “I knew that’s what you were doing, and I think that is Extremely Rude!”.
This service that was intended to relieve some stress associated with returning to work and buy me more family time on the weekend has resulted in added stress and I am now back to square one, but unable to interview new cleaners during the week.

Darci and Tiffany were incredibly helpful in tackling a big cleaning job at a new Inn we bought. Everything sparkled and shined when their team was finished. The service was prompt and professional. Highly recommended.
