This was a truly seamless experience starting with Jason, moving to Doug and then finally the installation team. Everyone was super friendly, professional, informative and timely.

This is the second solar experience that I had on two different homes in Vermont. The first round was a massive headache with national company . Initial on boarding went smooth, and then the installation lead to damage to the roof and their lack of interest in creating a remedy for their issues. There was no negotiating until I hired attorney at which point they paid for the damage. Shortly after they pulled out of Vermont and left a lot of people in a tough spot.

My big takeaway is to work with a local company with the sound reputation and staying power to service you in the long run. I give Catamount Solar 5-Stars!!

Catamount were totally great. Came in with the lowest quote; smartly adjusted the design along the way; did the installation in a two-day blitz with minimum disruption. And it all works perfectly. Plus the employees own the company. We only have praise.

We booked a solar consult for this afternoon for our entire farm and camp. It was two separate jobs and an hour and a half after the consult should have begun I got a message saying they were not coming and that trying to find our house was a waste of their time. The employee that was supposed to be coming here was rude and unprofessional on the phone. He told me that I wasted his time by not giving directions when in fact, I had been very clear about that when I booked the appointment. We are disgusted and would not recommend them to anyone.

I highly recommend Catamount solar for any type of solar installation or upgrade. Chris and his team at Catamount upgraded our 15 year old off-grid solar electrical system with a new inverter and lithium battery replacing our old inverter and bank of 16 lead acid batteries. They completed the work in one day. Their follow-up support to answer any questions that we had was outstanding. Such a pleasant experience working with Catamount.

The staff was easy to work with and any issue with Tesla (we were the first to get the Powerwall3) they handled. The only issue is that their estimate for solar production for the winter months was way off. We are still happy we did it and especially since we have had more small outages this winter than before and we always had enough power from the batteries.

I live in an off-grid home and was using a lead acid battery system and was in need of an upgrade. I called last spring ('24) and they came out to review my set-up and was extremely helpful in directing me to the best upgrade for me which was a lithium battery set-up. They answered all the questions I had and when it came to the day to install, all the guys were great, friendly and helpful!! and best of all took away the 16 lead acid batteries, weighing approx 100 lbs each!!
I love my new system and love it being maintenance free! No more monthly adding distilled water to the batteries!!

Great people make a great business. I had a problem after installation, due to no fault of Catamount, and they have been on it like fur on a cat. I could not give a higher recommendation.

Catamount Solar is fantastic. Really. I can't say enough good things about them. They are knowledgeable, efficient, and the customer service is superb. They helped us get our off-grid house up and running and have been there for us every step of the way! Catamount is the best.

Although it has been close to 8 years that Catamount Solar installed our panels, we still think they did a great job and are contemplating getting a battery to use as a back up during January -March. We do have a generator also , but are thinking we could use one of the backup batteries too….

The installation team was efficient and friendly. Even after 1 1/2 years we still enjoy checking our solar production several times a day. We would highly recommend Catamount!

Catamount took on the challenge of upgrading our existing solar system to add more storage capacity. They did a great job designing a good upgrade path, finding the right components, and installing them in a way that keeps the old components happy. First class effort end-to-end.

I just worked with Catamount to enroll in GMP's Powerwall Battery Backup program, and I can't recommend them more highly. We've tried to join this program twice previously and got stalled by either terrible communication or full waitlists, but Catamount made the whole process so smooth and easy. I love that it's an employee owned co-op, and everyone I interacted with from the salesman to the installers were knowledgeable, courteous, and very responsive. I've been telling all my local friends and family what a great experience we had and encouraging them to reach out to Catamount and anyone reading this review should do the same!

They installed our system two years ago and went with them again to increase our capacity. Design to installation / implementation was great and they handled everything end to end. The folks I’ve dealt with from the office staff, sales, designers / engineers, electrician, and installers were all very professional and friendly. The inverter was tripping recently, for no apparent reason.
Catamount solar stood behind their installation, and sent techs to diagnose and reset the system.
No charge to us.
I appreciate their commitment to stand by their installations and am impressed with their techs, and their willingness to work through the issue.
Rare for a company to stand behind their work 9 years after the equipment was installed.
Consider this an excellent recommendation, much like the one I gave them when the system was initially installed.

Chris Sparadeo and the rest of his crew did a excellent job. We had lengthy conversations prior to replacing my entire off grid system. Got several qoutes on several off grid configurations amongst other things to get what was needed and exactly what I wanted. Even went out of his way to come earlier than scheduled to install system knowing my batteries were going to quit at any moment leaving me with no electricity. My system replacement was a 3,000 watt rec alpha panels, complete new mounting pole/rack, StorzPower lithium iron phosphate batteries and Sol-Ark inverter/charger. My entire old system was also removed and taken away.After the installation completion he even came back to do a manual software upgrade to ensure my system worked as designed. Highly recommend Catamount Solar and my new system. I give Catamount Solar 5 out of 5 stars, 2 thumbs-up and a bag chips.

Catamount Solar did a 6 kW system for me two years ago at a good price. Very professional. Has worked great without issues. Wish I had done it sooner. Highly recommend them.

We are small, off-grid, organic vegetable farm in the Northeast Kingdom. In December we had a tragic fire on the farm where we lost a dear friend. In the process we lost our farm building and our solar array as well. We were underinsured, as we had just finished the building. The entire community rallied around us as we began the process of raising money for a rebuild. When Catamount Solar, who were installing solar panels at another local farm, heard about our tragedy they offered to donate and install solar panels at our farm. The crew that came were so amazing, knowledgeable and generous. The solar power allowed us to run power tools this winter to rebuild our farm building and will be critical for us to be up and running for farming this Spring.
