Carport1

Well, it is now been 68 days, 9 1/2 weeks, sense carport1 took my despot. They have failed to deliver on (2) secluded deliver dates. Make me wonder how many positive ratting are fake. Sure glad I didn't cancel my credit card dispute. YOU know they have a NO return deposit policy ?

The whole process from start to finish was excellent. I made several phone calls throughout the process, and could always get it contact with Amanda to make changes, verify something, etc. When the installation started, it was right on scheduled time, and the installation crew put in the work to complete on schedule, and I do mean work. They never stopped, great crew. Could not have been a better process. Thank you all, it was great.

This is my 3rd carport from different companies. Carport 1 is the best so far. So if your looking to purchase a carport call Amanda, She was awesome to work with and she is very Professional.

Though I did not wind up getting a carport from them,( I built us one) I must say that They did all they could do to for me, Answering all my questions and emails The Lady there, Amanda was just super Good about it all. Did all she could and then some I am sure! And I did and Do Appreciate that and I am Sure If I had been able to get the carport, I would been very Happy with it from them...

Called, filled out quote request form, nothing. After checking the site they say they serve my area but when I call to make a purchase they say they will not. I showed them the website lists my area and they have no response at all, I thought it was a dead line. I asked for a recommendation of someone who does service the area and they say call a contractor LOL This is sad and no way to run a business

Amanda was awesome to work with. We got a 18 x 36 x 12 Rv Carport. They are installing it as I type this. Thank you again Amanda!!

I placed an order with Magan Smith at Carport1 on July 29, 2021. She
wasn't helpful early on to get the required spec sheets and drawings
needed for me to pull permits required for the installation. I specifically
requested these from her multiple times and from their affiliate,
American Steel Inc., of which I am complaining about here. She just
told me to contact the steel company for other information as if it
wasn't part of her job to provide all the information. Then, when I
talked to American steel's dealer service manager, Brandon Falls, on
8/2/2021, I get the run around and excuses as to why the order wasn't
properly initiated and multiple steps still had to be handled before the
order was to be placed. Then, I find out more on wens, 8/4/2021 that
there was an additional down payment required that was not
discussed between Magan and I when i placed the order. Plus, there
was additional costs for the permit specs I needed which was an
additional $2000 no where on any paperwork. Now, I have to fight to get my money back since they have refused to cancel the order. BEWARE OF THESE SCAMMERS!!!

Best installation ever seen these guy were fantastic this company really knows what going on.
From the beginning helping me decide what I needed and walking me through the process.
Building was ready a head of schedule.
A pleasure doing business with this company and will be highly recommended.

2 STARS Installation crew showed up the next day. Installer came straight to me and went over layout to assure it was what I ordered. Next, he asked me “where is the lift?” I was never told that I would need to have a lift. Purchase documents said that buildings 14 ft and taller may require lift. Where I live, business is booming and no rental companies had a lift available. I do have a tractor with loaded that will reach 11 -12 feet, but it was not tall enough. I let the installer use my tractor which sped up the process. Luckily, I know a lot of other contractors and was able to rent a lift form one of them, $375.00 I wasn’t planning on spending.
1 STAR When the walls and roof were complete, they tired to install the roll up doors and 2 would not fit due to being too close together. Spec for front of building 16ft wall – 12 X 12 door – 1ft wall – 12 X 12 door – 3ft wall. When they attempted to install the 2 roll up doors, they were to close together and would not fit. My options were to move the center drive through door (then drive through would not line up) or lose 12in of my 3ft wall allowing more room between the doors, or tear the wall out and wait for more material to rebuild the entire wall. I chose to compromise my 3ft wall to allow more room for the doors to fit. I designed this with a 3ft wall so the $2000.00 in custom shelving I ordered would fit behind the 3ft wall, obviously I cannot do that now and have to be super careful when pulling in that bay to avoid hitting the shelving, big inconvenience when this amount of money is spent to get exactly what you want. This delay also cost me another day’s rental on the lift and another day off work. When expressing my concern of the extra cost and the extra day off work, the response was an apologize but I do not have to be on site so I could have gone to work. In my county, when you pull an older builder permit, the rule state that the owner must be always on-site, if you are not there at all times, you risk a $1000.00 fine.
1 STAR Once the door spacing was reconfigured, and the doors were installed, only 2 of the 3 doors close properly. I gave the contractor the check while they were finishing the last door as I had to leave for an emergency and did not want the contractor to have to wait for me to get paid. When I returned, this is when I found a 3in gap under one door where it’s supposed to close flush with the floor on one side, it was touching on the other side of the door (left vs. right). The second door had the same issue with a 1.5 in gap. The 3rd door closes all the way to the floor but is hard to open making a violent rubbing /scratching sound. I was shocked that they left it like this, highly obvious it was not correct.
On Monday after the install was complete, check given to contractor, paid in full, I contacted Carport 1 to report the issue with the doors. It took 4 days for someone to reach out to me after multiple attempts to contact them. I was told that they would address the concern and it normally takes about 3 days. Going on 4 weeks now, I still have doors that will not close properly, sand blowing under the doors covering my equipment worth thousands of dollars. Multiple emails and phone conversations later, I was informed that my only option was to wait until another installer was in my area installing another building and they would come repair the doors. I requested them to contract a local door company to fix the doors, I was quickly informed that this was not an option. Very frustrating to spend $30,000.00 with a company who has stellar reviews and end up with a workmanship like this, and no clear solution or time frame to resolve the problem. If I were a betting person, I would say that I will probably end up absorbing the cost to correct the door issue as I have no confidence there will be a solution anytime soon. DO NOT PAY UNTIL YOU INSPECT OR YOU COULD BE IN SAME BOAT AS ME.

Amanda did a great job helping get my carport installed. It need to be 8nstalled before we left our winter home and she made it happen

Carport 1 was great to work with on my garage project. Amanda my sales rep was very responsive to changes that came about because of city planning requirements. In the end the project was a success and I’m very happy with the outcome.

I found Carport1 on the Tulsa Craigslist. Made contact with Amanda and off to the races. Amanda managed my project with true professionalism.
While I lived in Colorado, she, while in North Carolina, made contact with a builder in Arkansas, Arkansas Carports, to build a garage in Oklahoma, ALL during the Great Plague of 2020.

When I decided to buy my 2-car garage "steel garage", I decided to shop for the best deal and best service. After few days of searching I was convinced that Carport1 is the way to go. Therefore, I called and Amanda Vargas "customer service" answered my call. She was the best customer service person anybody can wish for. She took my order, and kept following up with me until the unit was installed. I truly appreciate all of her help and support during the period of placing the order until installation time. ROCKY IS THE WORST! GAVE ME A TIME FRAME AND THEN TOLD ME IT WOULD PROBABLE BE BEFORE THAT. 2 WEEKS BEFORE THE LATEST TIME I WAS TOLD BY HIM THAT IT WOULD BE INSTALLED i CALLED THE MANUFACTURER FOR AN UPDATE AND WAS TOLD MAYBE 4 MORE WEEKS. I THEN CALLED ROCKY WHO GAVE ME HIS CELL PHONE TO CALL IF I NEEDED ANYTHING. WELL HE DID NOT ANSWER HIS PHONE, COULD NOT LEAVE A VOICE MESSAGE BECAUSE IT WAS FULL. SO I TEXT HIM WITHOUT A REPLY EVER. THEN I FOLLOWED UP WITH A EMAIL AND STILL NO REPLY. 1-1/2 TO 2 WEEKS LATER HE SENDS ME AN EMAIL ABOUT A SPECIAL THAT IS ENDING. SO I REPLIED TO THAT AND STILL DID NOT HEAR FROM HIM. IF YOUR IN HIS SERVICE AREA I WOULD LOOK INTO BETTER BUILDINGS IF YOU NEED A METAL BUILDINGS IN SANDERSVILLE, GA.

This was my first experience and order from Carport 1..although i normally deal with larger projects, this order was for a small carport covering and it blew me away that Jerry would have such patience with answering my questions and calling me back several times to make my project happen, this is a quality rare in today's marketplace, companies are too narrow minded to realize a small order can turn into an abundance of business down the road. Kudis to Jerry!

I ordered my carport a month ago. I paid the deposit, was told I would have plans to submit to my County Permit agency and I never received them. Everytime I call Carport 1, they tell me they will check on it and call me right back. The last time Rocky said, I'll call you back in 15min. NOPE no call. I requested my Money back and they refused. I would not use this company if at all possible!! STAY AWAY!
2 days after this post still no calls! They took my money and are avoiding me. Every time i call Rocky pack it goes to voicemail. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Either give me the plans or give me my money back!!!!!! Wow it's been a year since I posted this and now the owner comments back. This company is bs. The 4 star ratings are spam. Not true. Stay away!

Joel was amazing! He asked me the right questions to help me make a decision on exactly what I needed. I even called a few days later to change the color of my carport and he took care of that also. Really nice young man and extremely personable. Superior customer service.

1 star. Everyone knows there are horror stories floating around about metal carport distributors. Well, Carport1 is no different. They will tell you a time frame for having your carport delivered then once ordered it will double. I placed an order on a Monday. Tuesday, I changed the dimensions of the carport with Carport1 ensuring me this would not affect the time frame of delivery. This new carport was much smaller in size effectively reducing the price of my deposit by half. I was told by Carport1 that the extra part of my deposit would be refunded. This never happened. Fast forward 2 weeks, I get a call from the manufacturer saying they wanted to confirm the order which they had the wrong dimensions and they also told me it would be another 2 to 4 weeks for delivery on top of the two weeks I had already waited. It was at this point I decided I didn't want to deal with Carport1 anymore since they had so much trouble getting the dimensions correct and the timeframe that was originally promised had doubled. Jody (the "sales manager") dodged my calls for 2 days. Every time I did get to talk to him, he would tell me he would call me right back then he would leave the office for the day. Carport1 agreed to refund me half of my deposit. Keep in mind, this half of the deposit should have already been refunded two weeks prior. So, essentially, Carport1 only agreed to refund me the amount that was already owed to me and nothing more even though the entire mess was their poor management to begin with. I would highly recommend you look else were.

I recently purchased a tractor for my farm, so I was in need of a building where I could store my tractor. After doing some research, I came across Carport 1. Everything was so simple from start to finish. Erik Rosas answered all my questions and helped me thoroughly pick out the building that would meet all of my expectations. I have to say, I'm very pleased and happy with my building. Everything from ordering the building to the installation exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Carport 1, I will actually be ordering a second building from these guys!

Place an order for a 36x41x14 Vertical. August 15th and got it install within a week. Customer services was very helpful and professional answer all the question's I had. I recommend it to my friends and family who have place an order the past few days and have already been contact to verify the order. Love my building and recommend installation crew as well. I worked with Erik at Carport 1 and was completely satisfied. He not only assisted me with designing my building he also worked with the manufacturer and installers to get me my garage in less than 3 weeks. I did my shopping around; trust me this is the best dealer out there.

Carport 1 was great, I just received my new garage. 30' wide thanks to Rocky 31 long and 10 tall. The customer service was excellent . This is probably the easiest large purchase I have ever made. Rocky was very knowledgeable and he broke everything down to help me understand the process. He actually helped to decide what size structure I needed and I am glad he did. I otherwise I would have been unhappy with the width of my garage.
These guys have it together, he explained the process from the time I made my deposit until the time the installers came and erected my garage. No surprises during the process.
I would highly recommend Carport 1 for your building needs.

This is a great company and even a better staff. They very knowledgeable and courteous. I would deferentially buy another building from them. Joel was a great guy to work with, he looked over my order from start to finish.

This Company does false advertising.this list a price for a metal garage,then when you call them to place an order ,they tell you oh that's an old price we need to update our page..you think instead of losing a sale of 1,145 plus tax they would honor their website instead of losing a new customer,,very bad business decision on my part. I am a business owner and I stand by my word...

Update:A couple weeks ago I was contacted by Carport1 & was told they’d like to make it right on their end and give me my full deposit back. Last week I received a check for my full deposit. I appreciate Carport1 reaching out to me, making it right, and their honesty in this situation.

One star because no stars isn’t an option. Ordered my building over 2 months ago. Crew showed up to site 2 times (but documented showing up 3 times) and would not install building due to the ground being wet and somewhat muddy. First time wanted us to gravel down sides, which we did. Showed up second time only to want the entire floor graveled and the 20-30ft of Road graveled. Documented our site as unlevel which is also completely untrue...I had a licensed contractor come and level it before ever calling them to order. They told me they could leave the building for my husband to put up but would only give a 5% discount as that’s what installation costs. Wanted to schedule for Monday but I canceled due to it raining all this week and knowing it will be wet and muddy come Monday. It’s end of February in WV so it will be muddy for the next couple months. I asked for my deposit back since I met all requirements for site prep and they can’t install and was told I can’t have it. They said they have to pay for the men showing up-even though I was already told complete installation is 5% (which is way less than my 1,300 deposit). Now I’m out $1,300, waited 2 months & still have no building and it’s my fault because I don’t want to wait even longer for them to install a building that I ordered middle of December. Hope this review saves someone the headache we’ve had to deal with. Looks like we will see them in small claims court. ���
