Nick with Carolina contractors redid our roof in 2022. His communication was outstanding, the job was done incredibly fast and incredibly well. I was dreading the entire process of replacing the roof and Nick made it a snap, from the initial inspection to the end. I would give 10 stars if I could. It’s rare to find a company now that calls/comes when they tell you they are and does what they say they will do.

It's been a while since our roof was replaced, but everything is still fine. Their work is top notch and they are my go-to company for any replacement or repairs. Nick and his crew are also my trusted friends.

I had Nick and his crew at Carolina Contractors replace my roof after a hail storm came through our area. I found Nick to be very professional and knowledgeable about all phases of the process from inspecting the roof and dealing with my insurance company and their inspector to replacing the roof and follow up after the job was completed.

Nick and his team are awesome - very knowledgeable, reliable and professional. He was very patient with me and helped me pick out the right color. He knows many of the local Insurance adjusters so filing a hail damage claim was seamless. We were so impressed with Nick that we hired him to put a new roof on our lake house after we renovated it. Nick and crew did an amazing job on our roof. When they arrived, they had the old roof stripped in no time and within 2 days, we were all set! The crew was courteous and cleaned up after the job was done. I cut grass for the first time yesterday and expected to hit several roofing nails but I saw absolutely zero in the yard. A+ job from a great company!!!

The "salesman" who roamed our neighborhood for business inspected my roof and said it had enough hail damage to definitely warrant a claim. I asked him several times if he thought it had enough to justify a valid claim and he always said , Oh Yes. So, I file an insurance claim with his assistance and my insurance company sends their inspector & claims adjuster. They found the very opposite, hardly any hail damage at all and nothing even close to justify a new roof. So now, I have been DUPED in their efforts to get more business! And, by filing an insurance claim, I will now lose my claim-free discount and my homeowners insurance will therefore increase significantly at renewal because of filing a "frivolous" claim for them. This company sure didn't work well for me and this certainly seems like a deceitful practice they use!

12/5/21: In Response to the Owner's 12/4/21 Comments to my Review:
Then, perhaps someone should improve their record-keeping skills?? Your rep, Ubaldo, inspected the roof 6/19/20 & 3/26/21, filed claim 3/29/21 & met insurance adjuster/inspectors 4/1/21. I also previously had another roof inspector evaluate (2nd Opinion) the roof and he stated "... not enough damage to submit a claim." And I was told that you (Nick?) had reviewed the insurance denial. So, again I question what was the justification to submit a claim when everyone else was saying "...not enough damage to submit a claim..."? As I stated before, now I am a homeowner that will be insurance-penalized because of a BAD DECISION from your rep to file a claim.

12/13/21: Well, Nick, I thought that you would have responded by now to the info above that you requested from me. Do you not have any further comment or advice as to how this can be remedied somehow in the future??

11/29/22: In Response to the Owner's 1/15/2022 Comments:
OH YES, it is "REASONABLE" to blame your rep for this Fiasco that he generated. He, and your company, are the professionals, not me. If I consented to file the claim, it was solely because of his Guidance & Suggestion that the roof would be Approved for replacement. Don't try and point the finger elsewhere; take the responsibility as the Owner (for your rep) & OWN IT!
And NO, Ubaldo did not discuss with me that insurance is always 50/50. He assured me that the roof would be approved. And YES, this was a BAD DECISION solely on the part of your rep. Not on my part. My only bad decision in this process was relying upon and allowing Carolina Contractor's rep to file this claim based on his assurance it would be approved.
And I noticed that you stated: "this doesn't seem to be as big of a deal, other you wanting to leave a 1 star review." (Typical response from a Denying Owner). And I would expect you to not think it's a big deal since you will not be the one eventually penalized by your insurance company. There are SEVERAL REASONS you got a 1-Star Review as noted above.
In Summary: I finally contacted the "other" roofing company in our neighborhood who had a professional inspector do the photos, claim and submittal and immediately got the roof approved for replacement. Guess they know how to do it PROFESSIONALLY.
As I noted, my only bad decision in this entire process was involving and relying upon Carolina Contractors to do the job as one would expect, and was told, much to my extreme disappointment, Mr. Owner.

Nick, the owner of Carolina contractors, LLC, was very pleasant. Being concerned about maintaining his reputation as an honest businessman, he resolved a major issue we had: the color of the roof was not what we expected. Nick replace the roof at no additional cost to us!

I can't recommend Nick and his crew enough. They knocked it out of the park. We had hail damage and one of Nick's sales people walked us through the process with our homeowner's insurance. The process was a lot easier than I thought it would be and our homeowner's insurance had the first payment in our checking account within days. We had a lot of rain in the spring but Nick keep us updated on when it would our turn on the schedule. Nick has completed at least 8 roof jobs in our neighborhood, with 3 of them being close neighbors. Unfortunately, some contractors aren't honest but I can assure you, Nick and his company isn't one of them.

Nick and company did an AWESOME job with our roof! His inspector walked the roof and noticed hail damage we were unaware of. The inspector coordinated with State Farm, and we are proud owners of a brand new roof. Thanks, Nick, for going above and beyond to insure we sustained no interior damage because of our damaged roof. Many neighbors have observed your professionalism and asked for your information.

Nick and his crew did a great job for me. My roof suffered damage from both a wind storm and a hail storm the insurance company only wanted to do patchwork. Nick hired an independent inspector to write up a report which I then sent off to my insurance company. The report convinced them to send another adjuster out to then approved and getting the roof completely redone. They did a great job as far as the work and they did a good job with their cleanup.
