I have had an order for an addition to my carport since October 2024. It is July 31, 2025 today. When I call to ask when…. I’m told they can’t give me a date. And they have no interest in trying to find out. They’re rude and act like I’m annoying them.Seems like a terrible way to do business.

Do NOT be tempted to order anything from this company. I do not think I have ever written a negative review before (I always like to promote businesses) but I felt obligated to share my unfortunate experience(s) working with Carolina Carport/one of their vendors.

I fell for the trap of ordering a carport based on how cheap the price for our structure was. I placed an initial order in January and at first the dealer I was working with was very communicative. After our deposit was processed, I was told that it would be about a 2-3 month wait - which was fine. Closer to the end of three months I could not get in touch with our dealer and I finally was able to contact Carolina carports directly. Apparently our order was never placed (even though they had our money) and we were given a new “rough estimate” for waiting a couple more weeks. I kept calling weekly and was given the same answer that there were no guarantees on delivery/construction time.

Fast forward and Carolina Carports comes in May (4 months after ordering) after hounding them for weeks. The crew saw our site and told us they were unable to proceed since the ground was not 100% level. There was a slight grade that was not visually obvious. We were told that we would need to modify our order and we would be back to square one on getting a new delivery order scheduled.

I confirmed the modified order and we went through another series of weeks calling Carolina Carports with no answer on when we could expect a delivery. In early July we got a confirmed date for the reinstall.

The crew came out and was unable to have direct access to our site (even though we communicated this). We were able to provide some of our personal equipment to help them and gave the crew water. After going out of our way to help as much as possible at the end of the day - the crew leader told us we owed an additional $150 that could be paid directly to him (that was a lie to cheat us out of more money and we did not pay this). In addition to this, they did not complete our build to the ordered dimensions AND they forgot to install corner trim pieces. At this point I’m glad we have a structure and that I will never have to do business with them ever again.

We placed the order in January, and the structure was built in July. Please save yourself months of stress and do not order from here.

Lisa at Carolina Carports was very knowledgeable and helpful. She went out of her way to answer all of my questions and assist with the design of the building.
The installation team was fantastic. They worked virtually non-stop from their early arrival each morning and into late dusk each day. They kept us informed throughout the process and completed the build as scheduled. Amazing to see what 3 men were able to complete in four days. They did a great job with clean up when completed and left the property in the same condition as they found it.

We were very pleased with their work and highly recommend.

Carolina Carports just completed my new shop! Juan and his team put up this 60 x 100 building in an unbelievable 6 days, worked hard to make sure I was happy, and even returned to fix one piece of metal that was damaged during construction. Highly recommend Carolina and Juan’s team!!!

The installers arrived on time. They were courteous and take time to answer all my questions. I was very pleased with the workmanship and the product quality. I will highly recommend this company.

Despite showing up later than scheduled, the young men who installed the carport worked very hard the entire time and did a very nice job.

The reason I gave a 4 was the amount of time that passed before I was scheduled for the installation of my building. The men of the construction crew were exceptional good They were a good team and worked well together. Each man knew his job and did it well. I am very happy with my building and I thank you for sending the crew that assembled my building!! It was really hot and humid which was hard on the construction crew. That is why I wanted it done in May or June.

Carolina carports worked with us to build our dream barn. They were very knowledgeable and meticulous in every detail and went above and beyond. Shout out to Gloria who explained everything, drew her own pictures, and went over every detail to make it perfect!

I spent $80,000 with these people. The process went smoothly in my local representative in Knoxville was wonderful. Afterward, my building wouldn’t pass inspection because of four simple bolts in decorative pieces in the corners that the inspector said we needed. They kept putting me off about putting the bolts in and I had to proceed with my building schedule so I installed four bolts myself from Home Depot. Just now, three months later, a girl called me about installing the four bolts I needed. I explained how that had to be done three months ago so I had to do it myself. She was really ugly to me and said I just voided all the warranty on the building. Then she said that if I installed one additional screw into the building, my warranty would be voided anyway. Since I was making it into a barndominium, she said again that I would have no warranty because of that. Then she said, if you were putting water or electric in the building, your warranty would also be voided. I explained that I spent a lot of money with them, and I am intending to build another building and if that’s the way they do business I would not be giving them another dollar. She asked why she should care. I hung up the phone and called my local rep. He was absolutely disgusted. The crazy part is, the whole process went so well, then after the fact, this lady was so incredibly ugly. There is no reason for that. They have burned this bridge.

This business is horribly run. You place an order and they do not communicate with you for months, even when you reach out to them. This is the worst service I have ever experienced in terms of communication on something you are spending 10s of thousands of dollars on... DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!

Ramon and his team did a great job…they made sure everything was safe, clean and good workmanship. Would highly recommend this team.

My experience was very good.all questions I had were replied back to me in a very timely manner.the quality of the building seems to be very good. Setup was very quick and efficient.i would recommend this company to people for the ease of ordering all the way to installation.

I have to give credit when it’s due. They kept me very well informed the whole time and the installers were awesome. I can’t believe how easy this was. A++++ all across the board. Thank you so much.

I signed a contract with Alan's Factory Outlet (CCI dealer) on February 4, 2025, and submitted my site photos to Carolina Carports on April 27. From that point forward, I upheld every part of my agreement—yet not a single communication was ever initiated by the company. I had to reach out repeatedly just to get the most basic updates, which were vague and unhelpful at best.

When I asked to speak with a supervisor or manager, I was told, “they will just tell you the same thing,” as if escalation was a waste of everyone’s time. One employee, H******, falsely claimed I was the first customer in over 20 years to raise concerns like mine—despite the hundreds of 1- and 2-star reviews that raise similar issues regarding communication.

She also falsely told me that the company’s CEO, Adela Herrera, was “just a shareholder”—a claim I later confirmed to be completely untrue. Official business filings in Rhode Island, North Carolina, Georgia and Florida clearly list Mrs. Herrera as CEO and President.

Even more concerning: when I referenced a promise made during an earlier call, H**** told me she would “listen to the recorded call.”** There was no disclosure that calls were being recorded, and since Carolina Carports services Florida—a two-party consent state— this either means the company is recording customers illegally or that the threat was simply used as an intimidation tactic.

I have since canceled my order and received a full refund. I’m now working with a local builder who values honest timelines, transparent communication, and respect for the customer—three things sorely lacking in my experience with Carolina Carports.

Bottom line: The product may be fine, but the business culture is broken. The communication failures, misrepresentation, and dismissiveness I experienced were not just inconvenient—they were unacceptable. I hope leadership will take accountability and make real changes for the sake of future customers.

Carolina Carports is a great place. The environment is fast paced but supportive, and the team is friendly. I’ve learned a lot since and appreciate the opportunities to grow.

The building has flooded because there was no silicone or waterproofing of any kind between the concrete and the walls. They required an extra 8 inches of concrete slab which means even more rain runs into the building. The garage door’s seal is faulty so the 2-inch gap at the top of the door allows birds to fly in and make nests. The garage doors are very poor quality. The garage doors are shoddy. Shame on them!

The final product is fine, but the customer service and communication aspect of this company is terrible. Rescheduled three times in the course of six months. On the day of construction, I was not notified of when the crew would be arriving until the very last moment at 7pm. Very difficult to reach anybody and talk to them without having to go through three other people first. I'm just glad the carport is finally installed so we don't have to deal with them anymore.

I can’t say enough great things about Eddie and his crew! From start to finish, the experience of having my carport built was nothing short of exceptional. Eddie was professional, responsive, and clearly passionate about delivering quality work. Ordered a carport thru alen metal building online and Carolina carports showed up a day early and quickly installed the carport and was very professional and cleaned up after they were done can't say that about Calderons who did my 3 bay shop I still can't use 3 months later. I'm very happy with the work performed by this company on my small project

Do not do business with this company they have told me lies from beginning to end.was told I have been on there schedule for 1 month to install my garage.once I had concrete poured which I did.i call back to tell them like they all said to do.now they say they do not come back to install.now I have a $7,000 building that I have paid in full laying here on the ground.that will now cost me more money to hire someone else to install.trust me stay away from these people.

Leo and the guys did a wonderful job. Would use them again 40x60x16 with a12ft leanto on each side. 2 10ft roll up doors 1 14ft roll up 4 doors and 4 windows. The crew showed up at 7 most mornings other morning was 6:30 and they worked till 9 or 10 that evening. They cleaned everything thing up and went over it several times. Very proud new barn owner.

This is an absolute Great Carport from the way it’s constructed and put together and from the time it was ordered to completion they stayed in touch with me either by phone,email or text so I could be there when they came to build on my property. From start to finish the crew was very nice and curtious working non stop till completed. Looks very nice next to my house.

Contractors showed up a day early with everything needed to build the 25x40x13 shop. Two man doors, 3 windows, a 10x10 roll up and a 10x8 roll up, 1’ overhang with trim all the way around, double bubble on all walls and ceiling, color matched screws. They worked 15-17 hour days, left a clean worksite, confirmed with me what I ordered before they started, and communicated with me every day. They went the extra step to make sure the lines of the building all lined up, no unsightly seems off a stud. The finished product is really a great shop.

Buying this building has been one of the worst financial decisions I have made.
I am writing this review on both Alans Factory Outlet and Carolina Carports as I bought my building initially through Alans, and then they subcontracted it out to Carolina Carports and I feel they are both responsible.

Where to start, the metal siding and roofing is paper thin, I have only had my building for a few months and it already has multiple holes in it from pebbles being thrown by my lawn mower. I have taken to just weed eating around the building so that I do not risk any further damage. I dont have this issue with my shed or my house. I can only imagine what will happen when a hurricane comes through, or if a small to medium sized tree branch were to fall on it.

The leaks. It leaks around the base, and it leaks from the roof. I got the "box eave" style roof and my problems originate from that. The leaks occur where the horizontal sheets of metal meet the fascia. Water runs down the back of the fascia from higher sheets and gets trapped in the seams where the sheets meet each other, then it runs down on the inside of the building. If I had paid more and gotten the vertical roof I dont believe I would have this problem. My issue is that it was not made clear to me that anything less than their highest dollar option would not be water tight. I am able to correct this issue myself, but I shouldnt have to. If you're selling an enclosed building, it should be watertight.

The leaks around the base are mainly a result of the concrete being oversized to the building. Because the concrete extends outward, it allows water to pool and seep underneath. I followed the instructions exactly on the sizing of the concrete. They have you make your slab larger than it needs to be to make it easier for them to install the building. The right way to do it would be to have the concrete be exactly the size of the building, and then have the siding extend down over the lip of the concrete so that no water can get in around the base. When I called in about this, I was told it was my responsibility to find a solution. There are products that exist that can be laid under the metal frame of the building when it is being built that provide this watertight seal, no such sealant was installed. My only option now is to use a "silicone" type sealant around the base of the building and try and seal it. I have tried several different products, and a polyurethane based elastomeric has been the only one that has been effective. Again, my issue is that this is something they chose to do to make their lives easier when installing the building, and saving themselves a few bucks. The right way to do it is relatively inexpensive. It was also not made clear to me before I purchased that I would have this issue, and that I would need to fix it myself.

The garage doors. They are cheap, and you pay quite a bit for them. I have two on my building, and neither seals correctly against the concrete. While the concrete may not be exactly perfectly level, concrete typically never is, the main problem comes from the doors not being installed correctly. The holes for the retaining levers were cut at the wrong height, and even when the doors are fully down, I can still see daylight under both of them, and as a result I get the majority of my water leakage from underneath them. The doors also just feel cheap. They are also pretty thin, difficult to open and close, and are uninsulated. If you wanted to fully insulate your building, you would need to replace these doors.

All in all, I am left with a building that is of too poor a quality for my uses. I planned on insulating it and putting in power, but with how flimsy the materials are, and the poor quality of construction, I am considering just cutting my losses and having another building made that is of good quality. Dont waste your money here.

Beware of buying one of their carports from them directly or any of their dealers!! My post is long, but please read it. It might save you a huge headache and some hard-earned money at the same time!

I ordered one of their carports in mid-Feb. The dealer told me Carolina Carports was running a little behind and not to expect my new carport for 6 to 8 weeks. I told him that was perfect as I would be out of town during the 3rd week and I needed the time to prepare the sight. Well, CC called me the very next week (week 2) and told me they wanted to schedule my delivery the next week (the 3rd week). I told them I would be out of town and that the site would not be ready until I got back. I asked if they could deliver it the next week and they said no because they had to move me to the back of other orders and fit mine into a new delivery route. She continually said my order was less than $5000 so they would have to squeeze it into another load!

You might say, 3 weeks was quick on their part, it was! Except for the little matter of me telling the dealer I would not be home nor would the site be ready!

Fast forward to the 1st of April. I called for an update and was told that my carport was in que on a truck for delivery for late April to early May. As of yesterday 05/02 I still had not heard from them about my order, so I called again. Guess what they told me...yep, the exact same thing they did in April. My order was scheduled for a route. I asked "what date was I scheduled for"? and she said "we don't know that yet". So I said my order isn't really scheduled yet? She said, "yes". and I said if you don't have a date, then it isn't scheduled yet. So, I asked when do you expect my delivery to be here? She couldn't give me an answer. so I said...2 weeks, late May or when? She replied yea, about then and once again reminded me that my less important under $5000 order would be sqeezed into a larger order. I said thanks and hung up.

I promise I am almost finished. I decided to call other companies to see what I could get done. I called another company and the first question I asked the rep was "are your carports made by CC? He said no, so we went straight to his business and ordered a carport from him and saved nearly $300 with a 2 week guaranteed delivery.

Bottom line is, if your order is less than $5000, Carolina Carports will get to you eventually because your order is not valuabe enough and therefore you're not important. I bet if everyone who's unimportant order of less than $5000 took their $2-3-4000 order to someone who cares, that might get their attention.

I called the dealer and canceled my order. He told me that he die not understand what was going on because others who had made purchases from him after me already had theirs buildings installed. I told him that it appears they are kicking the can on my order down, down, down the road to teach me a lesson for not being ready even though I told them up front I would not be ready until after the 3rd week!! Thanks for letting me bore you!

A crew came out and did a addition to one of our CC buildings and put in a crappy door that does not close all the way. CC says the warranty is voided because we added electric to the building. Something that has nothing to do with the door. I will be posting all over the internet about this terrible service. Thank go I have a daughter who has her own marketing company. this will be fun!!

When you order something like this online, you never know what you’re gonna get. I cannot tell you how pleased I was with the efficiency of the operation and the quality of the product. It was a lot easier than I’ve ever imagined, and when they left the place Was cleaned up well.
I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Ordered from them LAST YEAR, they put up our building, and it had horrible problems, left screws and everything all around. Called and they promised timely repair. Didn't hear from them for 3 months, tried calling, nothing. Then when we refused to pay the rest til it was finished. They showed up unannounced several times without calling, and each time no one was home.
This morning they showed up before 8am randomly. And the crew does not understand that the things they are "replacing" aren't the complaints that we had, because they only speak Spanish and we can not communicate.

The worst part of it is the fact they show up unannounced, before 8am on a Saturday. Absolutely disrespectful and horrid. This company should go out of business. They have been reported to better business bureau and I should have called the police but I chose not to.

The work they do is awful, and the disrespect.

A company should ALWAYS call before coming out.

Apex Company sold me drip stop insulation, which they don't carry. There was no mention of that when confirming my order and taking my deposit.
So then tow weeks later at the time of scheduling, Carolina carports informed me they don't carry dripstop and canceled my install date on a Wednesday. Apex eventually offered to swap me with double bubble, which I didn't want but had no choice. The very next day, Thursday, I called to confirm the schedule, but they already filled my spot.
This caused the installers to cancel my install appointment and now are telling me it will be 5-6 weeks before they will have a "load" coming to Wake Forest meaning I have to wait until other customers slabs are poured and cured before they will send installers to my 36X32 building. It's not a relatively small build.
If your area doesn't have multiple customers ready, be ready for a long wait. In spite that the salesperson confirmed over and over, it would be less than 4 weeks. Liars.
These people don't care about serving the customer as once they have your deposit money and have you over a "barrell" if you cancel.
After speaking with other builders, I found I could have been installed easily by now. Due to the lack of communication and frustration, I am seeking a refund from my CC company to reverse the deposit and buy elsewhere simply due to the egregious frustration Apex Steele and Carolina Carports has put me through. Loss of money is better than this frustration.
I'm very sorry I chose Apex to begin with. Be ready for a 2 month wait once you send the pictures of your slab.

The installation was very good and fast. Carolina Carports great job. My hat is off to the installers. Castillo installers did an awesome job. The 24 x45 X 12 building looks great. And a thanks to Robby Jones and sales team.

The installers were on time and did a great job on the building. They cleaned up all around the area. I was worried about my dog stepping on a sharp piece of metal, I couldn't find anything after they left.

Diego Arroyo n crew worked through the rain and into the dark evening hours to get the job done right and on time. Did a nice job leaving the place just as they found it too - uncommon for contractors! Good job, team!

I have had a great experience with Carolina Carports. The crew that they sent worked tirelessly to get the building up. They got here early, worked until dark and then back at first light to complete. Everything was as ordered. Would highly recommend.

After over a year I have to say this building is a nightmare. I was told build the slab big and I asks sales rep about water leaking under the walls and they said it would be sealed. OK no problem. The building was built and I asked if they sealed it good and they said no that I didn't give them sealer to do it with . WAS TOLD THEY WOULD DO IT NOT THAT I HAD TO SUPPLY WHAT IS COMMON SENSE SHOULD BE DONE REGUARDLESS. I asked the crew why make the slab big they said so they knew they could build it as most are out of square and if so they would loose jobs and buisiness. So now for over a year after trying to seal it around the parameter in and out all I have is a fish bowl when it Rains. No including the doors that will not seal at each corner and leak profusely as well. Bad bad experience thanks

We bought 2 carports from Carolina Carports.
Awesome purchase experience, very easy process, delivery and set up was done much quicker than expected and the crew that did the work was thorough and professional. A+ company zero complaints.

Great hard working crew put my building up quickly considering the extra hurdles they had to overcome w a bunch of welding. I would highly recommend.

Had issues from the beginning. Installers no showed and then when rescheduled they showed up with wrong materials. Which caused me to pay to rent a telehandler for them to use 3 times. Fast forward and I am not surprised now that Car port only lasted a year and half. Called them and they were unwilling to assist with helping find someone to repair or sending someone out to repair.

This is truly the best contracting experience I’ve ever had, and have worked with several. Leo and his crew are beyond amazing-we got extremely lucky getting our building assigned to them. There are many other builds from Carolina Carports by other contractors that have unfortunately terrible reviews and I feel for those people because this is an expensive investment and I was nervous about the potential outcome here - but I am beyond ecstatic with true perfection from them! Leo ensured everything was done meticulously and left the site even cleaner than when they arrived! (and the previous contractors who put the cement pad in left the site absolutely trashed with literal garbage and construction debris that took several contractor sized garbage bags for me to clean myself -this was not the case at all with Leo and his crew and I cannot be more appreciative!). They were beyond respectful, friendly, and professional -truly good people who are incredibly skilled. It is for this reason alone that 5 stars are given (customer service on the phone with Carolina Carports themselves was a little rough throughout the whole process, but with the phenomenal outcome of the building itself thanks to Leo, I give it 5 stars). I would absolutely have any work done by Leo’s group-cannot thank them enough!!

We purchased 2 20x20 carports from Carolina Carports through Alans Factory outlet. They made it very easy to customize exactly what I wanted, had the best price compared to several other resources. Carolina Carports made completing the purchase so easy and kept us up to speed on all phases of scheduling and installation. They delivered and set up within a few weeks, much sooner than expected but very appreciated. The crew that came to set them up did a great job, very professional and did an awesome job as well as made slight modifications to improve water drainage and left the yard as neat and clean as they found it. Couldn't be happier with the results.

I ordered a custom carport via a large authorized dealer for this company. Everything went smoothly until the structure was scheduled to be installed. The crew never showed up, never called. I didn't receive any communication whatsoever, even into the following day. I called that morning multiple hours after the office opened at which time I logically should have already heard from someone. I was told the crew would come later that day, when I would be out of the state. I could see the writing on the wall and promptly canceled the order and requested a refund.

Delays happen, but absolutely zero communication, and the assumption that the customer will simply sit and wait for however many days the crew decides to take is unacceptable.

The staff I spoke to at Carolina Carports was unapologetic and the instalation crew manager made excuses for the delay, rather than giving a reasonable explanation for the lack of communication.

Since there was only one subcontractor to complete the job in my area, and they had already proven to be unprofessional, I certainly wasn't going to risk further interactions, and simply cut my losses.

I give Carolina Carports an A+++
The process was so easy, the price was very competitive. They scheduled us promptly and the team showed up on time. They worked hard Dawn to Dusk. Very professional, and knowledgeable. The barn turned out better than expected. I knew they only offered the roll up door, so I asked for them to frame out for a barn door which we will supply. They cleaned up everyday after themselves which I appreciated. The pictures are when work was still in process.

The crew from Nevada, MO had our shop up in about 24 hours. Arrived at 2:45pm one day and left around 3:15 the following day. This includes them not working all night. They ran like a well oiled machine. Friendly as well. Cleaned up after themselves well.
Very pleased with the building and we've been enjoying it for several months now!

The building is perfect! The installers where amazing! They worked together as a team flawlessly! Would purchase yet a third time!

The lady on the phone at Carolina Carport could’ve been nicer realizing I was stressed when I called to get an ETA and was told they were not coming that afternoon and apparently I was only going to get a text/call when they were on the way. And she said “the person who previously scheduled should’ve told me I was the last job on their trip and it was schedule to change depending on the other jobs” (and it was already changed a few days earlier to be a different day) I was nervous never having dealt with this company and now they couldn’t come on a day we were home so they put up our building when we were away on vacation. And because of that also wanted payment of the balance due the day before arrival instead of at completion like I was originally told. The only other option was rescheduling and it could be another 6-8 weeks and we didn’t want to wait that long. That being said they did a good job we have cameras and were able to watch the men putting up the building and we are happy with it. Also the price was very good. We originally purchased through Alan’s factory outlet online and Carolina carport was the local contractor that came and put it up.

The final quality of our steel-framed house was excellent. Would have liked a insulation wrap after frame was completed but it wasn't offered. The only problems involved deviation from the planned porch initially which created a long delay of building completion. Crew was friendly and efficient.

Very good Crew and I love the final product. Now I will just have to get it set up to put my wood shop in. I know I will highly recommend them and I definitely give them five stars out of five stars

I order a 20 x 20 metal building from Carolina Carports at the end of 2023. I was later instructed that I need photo's of a flat surface , 3ft. clearance of any structure to be sent to them before any prosses begins. Afterwards I waited for further instructions for delivery that never came. By February 2024 I was told it will take 90 days before my building would be ready. By May I was told it would be ready in August , I received a call middle of August telling me they had an opening and to call back. I did and I was told delivery for September 5th at noon, I set home all day and no delivery. I called next morning after twice to be told checking for delivery. Last call at 2:55 pm "no answer". September 10 they said they had opening , I called the next morning they said working on a date. This went on up until February 2025, after a week into February I call once again but "no answer" for my delivery and ask a question on the answering machine if they were affiliated with BBB ? That same day I received a call for delivery in March but no date. February 24th I was given a date of March 12th, after setting home all day "no delivery". They called for the next day because of some material they did not have. the next day I finally March 13, 2025 received my building. I feel I should have been convinced for over a year of waiting and false dates of delivery not to mention a military vet, but this company has no heart or concern of customer service their just interested in the money their receiving. My personal opinion I treat people the way I want to be treated but this company I have no love or respect for . For anyone who dare take the chance "Good Luck".

We're very happy with the barn. Everyone we dealt with at Carolina Carports was very nice. The two guys who built it did great.

We recently had a carport installed, and we are beyond pleased with the quality and the overall experience. Terrible customer service! I purchased a replacement garage they originally installed! Hellene took it out so we reordered being told 6 weeks to deliver! After 6 weeks I called and they said I had not responded to an email from them and it was postponed so additional weeks to deliver! I had responded and had proof I did! The staff never called me back after asking to speak with a manager about my concerns! Finally after several additional weeks they came to install but did not have all the necessary trim work for a door! My husband was trying to be nice and suggested they deliver it to us through the dealer and he would install it! To this day NO ONE has called us back! Even the local dealer is disgusted with their customer service (which is none) I would not recommend purchasing from them! We have paid them in full and it has been over a month since they installed! Horrible customer support!!!

Communication with scheduling at Carolina Carports was a bit challenging, but Roberto and his crew with Shark Contractors were absolutely fantastic! Happy with our build! Highly Recommend Shark Contractors!

Except for a few screws on the ground, the crew and the up graded frame and vertical roof looks great and it's good quality. I'm happy with the information that I got when I talked on the phone with the lady before ordering while I was still planning for one. I advise everyone to call them before ordering so you to will be satisfied.

I would not trust this company to install an umbrella much less a metal building or carport. They will tell you they are coming out to install them you wait around all day and get no call/no show. Then they reschedule and sure enough no call/no show that day as well. Your time and schedule means nothing to them. Luckily got my deposit back and went with a company more local to me.

Quick to take a deposit slow to actually do what they say, now they have my money and constantly throw another step on me as to why they haven't completed the job. Was told they handle everything until after several months of waiting on them they now claim they have been waiting on me to pull permits. I was very clear up front I pay for job you do job, simple right. I do not pull permits and never have had to before. I've done 3 roof jobs siding and had a similar shed by another company I should have used again before....again never pulled a permit myself or had septic approval needed or any of these steps.

Complete thieves and ripoff!! I purchased a 40x60x20 to be installed and did the 12awg upgrade on the steel. I paid $10 to the first company and then the $21k to Carolina carports. The installers completely trashed my concrete, ran over my electrical pipes, doors don’t shut all the way, chain falls off the doors, entire building makes popping noises all day, and I can keep going. I sent them the final payment but deducted all the items I had to have repaired and sent them invoices for everything! They tell me we don’t cover that and I still owe them $1500ish, which there isn’t a chance. I also took pics of the steel they installed and only half of the steel was 12awg and the other half was 14awg. Their response to this was “only structural steel was upgraded”. After reviewing the signed contract there is no mention of only some steel would be upgraded. They refuse to make any repairs to the popping sounds, the door chains, nor the doors jamming up. Also they didn’t install the ground rails as per their own signed prints and still won’t respond!!! They are con artists and thieves!!!!

Now that it's been some time I'm comfortable doing a review for the 26x45 garage I bought through Alan's factory outlet last year, built and installed by Carolina Carports.
The entire process went very smoothly, even when I had to make some changes due to local zoning restrictions. Everyone I dealt with was great. The install was scheduled a few weeks before I expected it to be and the crew were fantastic (wish I could remember their names, but they were great).
We did have one issue with a leaking window a few months later when it finally started raining again, and they had someone out within a week or two to address it.
Overall we're very happy, and would buy from them again with no hesitation.

Would not recommend this company. I ordered a shop from this company, which they installed in May of 2023. I paid half of the amount before installation. After installation, I was having issues with the doors and latches shutting properly. I requested that someone come out to fix the doors before I provided any further payment. They were scheduled to come out and cancelled due to weather and never reached back out to come fix the issue. I spoke to Deanna on multiple occasions and she was extremely rude and unprofessional. A year and a half went by and I heard nothing from the company, no calls, no mail, no invoices, until I received a certified letter in the mail, including an invoice of the remaining amount only a few weeks ago. I called to speak to someone to remind them that no one ever came out to fix the doors and they advised that due to the time frame, they would not be coming to fix the doors. They even stated they were going to repo the shop if I did not submit payment. After several phone calls, they offered to provide a discount off of the remaining amount, which I accepted because I was done dealing with these people. Overall, the customer service was terrible and it was just not a good experience. I will say, when I spoke to Nicole, she was polite the entire time and no where near as rude as Deanna. This company throws a shop up and contrary to what their website says, they are not concerned about the quality or the satisfaction of their customers. I've had multiple people ask where we purchased our shop and I make sure they know about our experience with this company.

Justin Medoro, the engineer is extremely rude and condescending. Does not properly review materials sent via email before rudely demanding things already sent.
Didn’t schedule building date the same business day as site was shown done, as I was told he would do.

I really loved the idea of working with this company, but now am debating cancelling my order all together. If being respected by the business you’re working with is something your interested in, I would look in the direction of another company.

We are very pleased with our new building. The company is very easy to work with, the installers were very professional, and the building itself very high quality and a very reasonably priced.

Ok so yes Carolina Carports done an awesome job fabricating & constructing my 30x40x14 metal building, I love it! My chain-operated 12x12 roll-up door got in a bind and needed repair. Very thankful for Natalia with Eversafe Bldgs and Jennifer with Carolina Carports for coordinating and getting the repair done in a very timely manner. Very impressed with customer service. Thanks to you both for communicating with me during this repair. I am proud to recommend these companies.
