Ken Reeves sold us a new roof and the first rain storm it leaked. I've tried to get him on the phone but can never talk to him. I have asked the office to fix it and nobody will show up. I have had to hire another roofing company to fix my roof.

I had a leak in my roof after we had a big rainstorm. I called Reeves Roofing and they came out charged me $850.00 to repair the roof. That night it rained again same thing water pouring in the home. They told me I have a 1 year warranty on repairs they wont come back and Ken Reeves the owner will not come to the phone all the times I have called.

BEWARE I gave them a deposit for a roof replacement and after 7 months of calling them and getting lied to I realize they took my money and didn't start the work. Ken Reeves from my understanding has gone to many states after storms and stole money from several people.

Ken Reeves did our roof from storm damage. He cant be reached and I had a leak in our roof. After calling the estimator on his cell phone he alerted me he no longer works there and to take appropriate action that Ken is a storm chaser and has a history of not paying his sales people roofing crews and material suppliers.

BEWARE!!!!Ken Reeves is a fly by night operation. He has traveled to several states where there been hail storms and did shouty work and not warranty the work. He has collected deposits on jobs and never did the work. He has been doing crimes in many states over the years doing this storm chasing. Don't become a victim of this criminal.

Absolutely Horrible. This was the worst experienced as home owner I have ever had. The horrible workmanship and customer service is appalling. Reeves installed the wrong color shingle and used the wrong size nail ruining our back porch ceiling. We have had leaks resulting in 4 rooms with water stain damages. In 3 years, the shingles are falling off!!! This does NOT happen if you get a quality roof!!! Reeves is unresponsive, they lie, they do not show up as scheduled and they do not care about making things right. For every 10 calls you make, you may get one return call. I have asked to speak to Mr. Reeves multiple times and Donna Reeves said "He does not want to talk to you". I called back due to the zero response and she said "I will pass on the message but don't expect a call back". Again, after no response I called Reeves again to let them know that I would be filing a BBB complaint if I didn't not get a call back. So, I want to warn you to chose a roofing vendor that actually does good work and provides customer service. Reeves construction does not care one bit about their reputation and it shows. Their customer service is appalling. I have spent thousand in repainting ceilings and having my roof fixed properly. The B- rating on BBB is far to generous. Reeves construction is only deserving of an F. Please protect your home and your sanity by choosing another roofing option.

May 2020... Highly rated roofing companies would have obliged our pleading for the opportunity to conduct a simple, inexpensive roof leak repair on a new 3 year old roof replacement due to improper workmanship due to installers. Hence, these companies stand behind their work and offer quality workmanship warranties. These companies satisfy paying customers and are always highly recommended. Reeves Roofing workmanship warranty is one year, two years? Employees not sure? Or you can pay to extend warranty? Install, walk away and pray nothing happens. After many calls and no-show appointments, through April/May 2020, a Reeves inspector unexpectedly arrives on 5/5/20 to look at roof leak. Inspector demonstrates, from photos on his phone, the water leak was coming through an unsealed soft metal vent cover due to the installers improper workmanship. Cleverly, Inspector directed me away from roof leak area and cunningly changed solution to attempt to create a contract for a new roof replacement due to hail damage. Reeves owner claims that he and I both contacted insurance company to request claim due to hail damage which was false. I never contacted insurance company to request roof replacement claim in May 2020 because there was no hail damage. A+ rated roofing companies inspected my roof and determined that there was NO hail damage to my roof to warrant an entire roof replacement. Reeves Inspector demonstrated a photo from his phone, of one single shingle with two discolored spots, side by side, that was to indicate the necessity to replace entire roof. No one has been able to locate that one hail damaged shingle. Reeves Roofing- Construction just earned another negative review, complaint, and disgruntled customer.

I had a scheduled estimate for new gutters and Sam Clarkson came to my home. He asked for the insurance paperwork (we had storm damage). When I told him that we had sent it to the mortgage company for them to sign the check he was done. No measuring, no quote, no nothing. He then referred me to another place for gutters. I contacted this company because we had used them at our previous house with no issue, but never again. I called the office about this experience and was told "we go by the insurance estimate". It has been 8 years since we used them before....I guess things change.

If we could leave zero stars we would. We hired this company in January of this year to do some work on a property that we were flipping. Per our contract Reeve’s (Bradley was our initial point of contact) was to do repairs on our roof and replace the downs in a few spots where water had caused the boards to rot. When the roof was completed did a walk through with Bradley to express our issues with the fact that roof dipped in the spots where they replaced the board because the contractor Wendell and his crew replaced the boards with the incorrect boards. At this point we had paid them over $13k for a roof that was improperly done. Reeves construction failed to show up on the date agreed due to them working on another projected but insured us they would be there within the next couple of days to make the necessary repairs however they never showed. We contacted Wendell on several occasions we would agree on a time for them to come and they would never show. We have since have not been able to contact them. In March our attorney on multiple attempts tried to serve the company with a letter so that they would contact us to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, our attorney was never able to contact them. On top of the roof, that we are now having to pay to have repaired again, they charged us for cleanup and haul off of the disposed roofing materials which their crew ended up filling up OUR dumpster so we had to pay for an additional dumpster and Wendell and his crew left food garbage all around our construction site. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY !

I was very happy with this company. Post Hurricane Florence, it was almost impossible to get a return phone call, much less a visit, quote, and appointment. Fortunately I had a patch on the roof that allowed me to wait a few months. When I called Reeves in early January to quote a complete roof as well as an elderly neighbor’s roof, I received an immediate return call, and a scheduled appointment within a week. Hans arrived a few minutes later than scheduled but called in advance to warn me of the delay (much appreciated!). He walked and measured my roof, then my neighbor’s roof and stayed to write the quote and describe the materials used, offer color selections, and give us a timeframe for completion. This was in a very reasonable time frame.

Workers showed up as scheduled, on time, and worked diligently on first one, then the other roof. My neighbor and I were thrilled with the work and the cleanup afterwards.

I recently received the paperwork for the warranty from Atlas.

I will definitely call them again when I have a roofing need!

During hurricane Florence the roof on my home in Leland, NC was damaged to the point that I have to get a total roof replacement. The search for a contractor was difficult as so many homes were damaged in the Wilmington area. The first several contractors we contacted gave us the run around and wanted to know how much the insurance company was paying for the roof replacement. They were scammers! Our next door neighbor connected us with a contractor that was honest but said it would be a couple of weeks before he could start the work. We first agreed for him to do the work but then Maxine from Reeves was driving around and passing out flyers. She stopped and chatted with my wife and introduced us to Reeves Construction. My wife really liked what she had to say and when I returned home she said she wanted to change contractors and have Reeves replace the roof. We called Maxine and she stopped by with Hans (her boss) and we agreed to have them do our roof. Hans gave us the best price of all the quotes we had received and told us the work would start in just a couple of days. The work was done in the time frame given us and we could not have been any happier. Reeves constriction completed the work in 1-1/2 days. They were excellent to work with and we were happy to learn that they open a office to close to us. PS: My neighbor decided to go with the other contractor and it took him 3-weeks to complete her roof from start to finish.

This is such a wonderful company! I highly recommend! The owner is such a wonderful man, who truly cares for his customers and the community!

I had Reeves Construction build me a hudge fence and not only were they all such hard workers and the best company I have ever used . I sure wish I contracted them to remodel my old house instead of getting ripped off from the ( other company ) I had and I wont get into details , but I no doubt would have hired Reeves Contruction to do my whole house . personaly I give them 5 stars and more if I could . Will be using them again , and thank you , you guys were awesome !!!

DON'T CALL REEVES ROOFING CONSTRUCTION. The company does not care about their customers, only money. In May of 2017 we had a new roof installed and I caught the crew installing shingles without first putting felt down. No one from Reeves Roofing Construction was available to supervise or would respond at all while the job was being done by sub-contractors. I talked with the owner Ken Reeves and he didn't do anything to help , was rude, and did not care. He just wanted to get paid...without finishing the job. I paid them. Now in December 2017, shingles are falling off the roof. Shingles should all have 6 nails in them, these were barely put on. No one at Reeves Construction, Roofing, Gutters, Siding really cares about doing the job right. The workmanship is terrible and the experience terrible. I would not recommend Reeves Roofing construction for anything. Reeves Roofing Construction provided a bad experience and a terrible product and charges a premium price. When the owner Ken Reeves will not stand behind their work, then you know the rest of the company won't. I would not do business with Reeves Roofing Construction company of Spartanburg, SC.

2022 update: due to poor quality of work, no flashing, has caused me hundreds of dollars in repair. As far as below, the work was never finished.
I’ve been waiting since May of 2017 for them to finish the job. They are not getting paid until the job is finished.

This is still a on going nightmare. The replacement roof leaked as soon as it rained. They did more damage to the house than the hail storm. Since then it was been empty promises of when they will come and what they will fix. Phone calls are not answered. Voice mails not responded too.We thought they had abandoned the job as we could not get any response from them. Suddenly they want to come and finish everything. 5 people turned up and did some work. They asked if there was anything else to do. I told them no, as I wanted a end it all. When I get the final bill it is wrong, and it is now too late to claim the depreciation from the insurance company. They tried a second attempt at billing me, which is still wrong, but with the invoice is a threat of legal action if I do not pay within 7 days.
I can not call this company cowboys or clowns, as that is an insult to cowboys and clown. They only get one star because google will not let you post with no stars.

Recently I contracted Reeves Construction to replace the roof on my Mother’s house due to hail damage. I read the reviews and spoke with David Stilwell about them. He explained how the crack had occurred in their workforce, but assured me it had been taken care of. One bad apple can affect the entire bunch, and unfortunately Reeves incurred damage to their reputation. I understood what had happen and decided to hire them. I had the roof inspected after they completed the job, and the inspector said they did a GREAT JOB. The roof passed the inspection with flying colors. I understand this is not normal but the inspector was kind enough to come back and do the inspection under the circumstances. David Stilwell was wonderful during the entire process and it was such a pleasure working with him. I couldn’t be happier with the job they did and would not hesitate to recommend them. In fact they will be replacing my roof when it is time.

I had a new roof installed in 2013. Here it is 2017 and I have leaks in two spots in my home as a result of faulty installation. When I called Reeves they informed me that my warranty was for 2 years which is typical. With that being understood, one could only hope for good work being done. Be careful what you sign and read the fine print on the contract. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!

What an absolute joke of a company.
My house was damaged by the tornado that hit Simpsonville in November 2016. We hired Reeves because one of their employees lived in our neighborhood and gave us assurances that he would be fair to us because he was our neighbor. Four of my neighbors also decided to hire Reeves for this reason. To date, the only thing that has been completed is our roof. Not even that has been done correctly. The plywood they used to replace a piece of the roof was cut incorrectly resulting in a gap in the roof. You can see this gap clearly in the attic where the weatherproof sheeting can be seen in between pieces of plywood. It took them 3 weeks to get this done, and the company who did it left an enormous amount of debris in the yard for 3 days. They did a patchwork repair to my fence during the roofing job and put a latch on my fence that prohibits me from opening it from the inside. They replaced a whole section of fence with new wood – except for the framing. Their excuse was that the insurance company didn’t approve that specific section of fence (about 4 feet long) and said they went “above and beyond” to fix this for me. They’ve still yet to complete the following projects: shutters, siding, windows, window screens, gutters and downspouts, exterior fencing, interior fencing, tree removal, new exterior HVAC unit, and carpeting in my office The insurance company has approved all of these things.
They sent a woman named Marie out to take pictures for supplemental repairs and Marie promised that they would be submitted to my insurance company immediately. It took over a month (almost two) for these to be submitted and I had to call the foreman himself (Wendell) in order to get them submitted. After expressing to them very clearly that I wanted both fences replaced and not repaired (which has been approved by my insurance company) they have yet to replace either fence. They tried to repair the small fence in my backyard that was damaged although I have stated numerous times that they’re not to do this. They’ve ordered the wrong windows for my house THREE TIMES. First they never showed up, then they were the wrong size, and then they were the wrong amount of panes. The guy they sent out the second time tried to install the incorrect windows BEFORE EVEN MEASURING and said he thought he “could make it work”. I refused to let him try and rig my windows so he put the broken windows back in and left the incorrect windows leaning up against the side of my house. That was a month ago and they’re still there. As of today, I still have 2 broken windows and glass embedded in the carpeting of my office. I haven’t been able to use that room in my house for 3 months. I’ve had to beg for siding and shutter samples. First, they just delivered 3 boxes of the siding with the intent of patching what was damaged. Three boxes wouldn’t even come close – and they were the wrong color. They’re still sitting in my yard killing my grass. They’re not even neatly stacked. They just threw 3 boxes of siding in my yard and abandoned them. It took them three months to get me siding samples, and I had to borrow shutter samples from my neighbor. Then Wendell calls to ask if we’ve picked one (before we even had the samples) because he’d “like to get the work done”. Multiple phone calls to John Rickson, Marie, Wendell Cooper, and Ken Reeves have gone unanswered. I’m beginning to think the employees of Reeves Construction don’t ever speak with each other. When I called Wendell a month ago to see if the supplements had been submitted, he didn’t know what I was talking about. He said he would personally handle it and I haven’t personally spoken with him since. Again, phone calls and text messages have gone completely unanswered and ignored. I wouldn’t recommend Reeves Construction to anyone and if I could rewind this whole nightmare and hire another company I would do so without hesitation. I left one star because I couldn't leave zero.

They get a contract. Take 4 or 5 weeks to finally show up to do the job. Do a lousy job and then want paid right away. Overcharged on what the original price was for the roof. Months later, show up, unannounced to put facia around the garage and then weeks later, put in down spouts. Never did come to repair vinyl damage. Called in Sept., 6 months after the hailstorm and said we owed more money. Couldn't give me an amount nor a statement as to what I owed. I told them I wouldn't pay unless they gave me a statement. Went from asking for $1200, down to $918. Mailed them a check on 9/6/16. It was cashed 9/15/16. Got a bill this week for the $918 again. Idiots can't even do their books correctly. Don't use this company.

My apt complex has hired this company to do some work around our complex. While what I see is good working people, I just had a bad experience with 3 of their workers. I had received a paper that says they will be on the property at 11am- 5pm to change switches today sunday, July 24th. Just at 9pm, 3 workers, two in no uniform or t-shirts showing they work for the company, and only one with a company T-shirt, knocked on my door asking to come in to do the switches. It's 9. At night. I didn't feel the company was professional with sending workers to my home at night, looking more like thugs than actual workers. Didn't feel safe enough to have them enter my home, so I sent them off.

I have known the owners of Reeves Roof and Gutters for well over ten years. In that time I have had the opportunity to see many of their home and business clients up close and personal and witness first hand, the integrity and manner in how Reeves conducts its business and honors it clients. I have also had the pleasure to recommend them to a friend who lives in Greenville, SC who called, got a quote and ultimately contracted their services. They were 100% satisfied. The job was completed on time, at budget and the clean up according to my friends, was stellar! This is the kind of reference I am honored to write. Great job Reeves General Contractor, Reeves Roof and Gutters.
