I did not have a good experience with Calderon Construction , they broke my adt sign, when I reached out to the company they kept putting me off a d did not finish the gutter. As of April 14th they still have not completed the job. If you choose to use this company inspect the cleaningness of the job and finished product before before you pay. Would not recommend

Luis has done work for us for many years. Everything from Bathroom remodels, new window and fan installations', interior and exterior painting, appliance installation, new floor removal/installation. His attention to detail is exceptional and if anything is missed his is courteous, polite and responsive to address and correct anything that may have been missed. Can't recommend Calderon Construction enough

The subway tile was not installed properly and is bumpy because they didn’t prep the wall properly.
This wall had an opening into the living room which was never drywalled properly.
The new kitchen cabinets around refrigerator were built incorrectly.
During the demo of our kitchen they left numerous hot wires dangling in the crawl space.

Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

Terrific job. Timely and high quality. The whole job was completed while I was at my secondary residence. Very trustworthy and honorable in their delivery and quality of work. Painted the whole house (inside and out), gutted and rebuilt 2nd floor bathroom, replaced and modernized all electrical fixtures, and much more. On time and cleaned up the house completely before move-in.

I’m very disappointed. I got this company from Angi’s list and what started well didn’t end well. I have possibly broken light fixtures and my laundry room was never repainted. I also never got the box of flooring that I asked for to have on hand. The owner made many promises to bring the flooring and come to fix the lights but so far it’s broken promises. Here is a list of all that was wrong after the job was finished. Who paints doors, trim, crown molding and baseboards in flat ceiling paint? Especially when the job didn’t start that way. They started the job correctly, it was when they went upstairs they tried to cut corners.

Hi Luis. I just want to let you know what all isn’t correct with the paint. The office/bedroom base boards, door frames and crown molding is all flat or ceiling paint. It should be semi gloss for door, door frames, baseboards and crown molding, then white paint with eg-shel finish for the walls.

Same with entire upstairs. The crown molding, doors, door frames, baseboards and walls have been painted with flat or ceiling paint. It should be semi gloss paint on the doors, door frames, crown molding and baseboards with white paint with eg-shel finish on the walls.

The stairwell wall also needs to be repainted with white paint with eg-shel finish as it is also flat or ceiling paint.

The 9th and 10th step will need to be touched up along the wall with semi gloss white paint.

The entire laundry room, door frame and baseboard were painted in flat or ceiling paint. That will also need to have semi gloss on the door, doorframe and baseboard then white paint with eg-shel finish on the walls.

The baseboard shoes were also not painted. Where they were cut, you can see the raw wood.

I’m not sure what happened. They painted everything correctly in the other areas.

We hired Calderon Painting for an interior paint project and it was worth every penny! The process was made simple for us from Luis coming out to generate an estimate when we wanted, communicating when his team would start work, and watching our house transform into something beautiful! The team was respectful and nice to speak to throughout the process. The estimate was fair based upon the work that needed to be done and we’ll be using them for other painting projects in the future!

We hired Calderon for drywall and painting a client's home addition in a neighborhood with high price-point homes. They were highly unprofessional and there was a serious lack of attention to detail...not what you want in a painter.

Our request was to match the quality of the rest of the house. We had to ask them to touch-up multiple areas they had already put primer and 2 coats of paint on (you could still see drywall mesh tape).

After the 3rd truck "break-down" we asked them not to return. Not only did we ended up finishing the job ourselves, our client stepped in to do some painting as well.

The crew's lead also damaged the neighbor's yard by driving on it with his truck.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend.

In the process of building a deck for my neighbor, a truck and trailer with this company's name and number upon it was backed onto my property, crushing some recently installed drain pipe and creating a 45ft muddy rut in the yard.

They've been contacted and provided with extensive documentation pertaining to the damage -- photos of the truck/trailer actually in said rut, GIS maps of the property line, etc. -- but, despite it being plain and clear that they're responsible for the damages, the fella I spoke to said, basically, to take a hike.

Further action is in process; this is just to let folks know what kind of people they'll be dealing with at Calderon.

Previous job (exterior painting of a shed) was well done 5-star work! And the cost was reasonable.
Current job not so much. Being a previous customer I trusted my quote would be a fair value. After a job that lacked attention to details and speaking with neighbors, I feel over charged for this work.

Great customer service. The team was very responsive and professional. I'm happy with the results. They painted the exterior of the house.

Calderon started off painting with the wrong color even after being given the sample color. The crew worked very messy with little clean up when they left. After they were done we came to look at the finish project. Most the walls looked decent, but the cabinets were a absolute disaster. There was paint peeled off when they pulled the tape off trim, one whole cabinet was not painted at all, and one was a complete different shad. After contacted Luiss several times to have the issues corrected, he made several appointments to have someone fix it and we were stood up every single time. Unfortunate for us we paid in full already. After getting the run around for a couple weeks we cut our losses and had the issues fixed elsewhere. I would not recommend this company to anyone who is interested in a professional service.

Luis and “The Crew” were prompt, personable, and professional. They painted almost every room in our house and did drywall repairs, and my family and I could not be happier with the end result.

Luis is easy to work with, communicates often, and he is timely in responding. Calderón Painting & Remodeling will be our “go-to” for home painting.

Calderon Construction painted the lobby of our building as well as several other areas. The crew arrived on time, they were polite, paid attention to detail and did an outstanding job. I will call them again when I need more work done.

I was thoroughly pleased with all of the work, from repairing rotten wood and painting the entire home to helping get other work done as well. Totally professional and hardworking. I highly recommend!

We recently had Calderon Painting do 3 rooms and some drywall repair. After receiving 3 estimates Phil, the owner followed up with my wife and showed pictures of their previous work. We were very happy with their work, their promptness and how neat they left everything upon completion. Would highly reccomend Calderon to anyone.

Calderon painting did a job for us recently on the exterior of our house and garage. The garage is from 1950s and had a lot of layers of paint that needed to be scraped and so did the house siding. They did an excellent job of prep work and we couldn't be more pleased with how everything turned out. They are hard workers and seemed to be enjoying the job that they are doing and are very friendly. We will definitely use them again for any other jobs that we have coming up. My sister found them highly recommended from two builders in Oak Ridge North Carolina.

Update: Thought everything was fine, but once the paint actually dried, the sloppiness started showing through. None of the surfaces were prepped before painting: oak cabinets weren't sanded down or varnish removed (makes the white cabinets look custard yellow), the inside of the cabinets were barely sprayed (most of original oak shone through), liquid laundry detergent spilled on walls by previous tenant wasn't wiped up and shone PINK through the white spray job, cutting in on baseboards in bathroom so sloppy that it flaked/peeled off in a month (no one living in house), trim around windows on door to garage not painted at all (I had to go back myself)... so frustrated at this point that I wrote the check without noticing these details that I didn't even bother contacting Filipo, just sold the house and am done.

Initially Filipo didn't show up as scheduled to give a quote. An emergency at home detained him. Next day he arrived and gave a very reasonable quote asking what he could do to earn my business. Ultimately, a backup person needs to call customers to reschedule in emergency situations.

I did hire this company to paint out kitchen cabinets as well as the ceilings, walls, trim, and doors inside a vacant 1200 sqft ranch. Though the crew worked diligently, with so much that was done a few things were missed that were rushed to be taken care of last minute (such as painting out wooden trim in an all white bathroom). The upper kitchen cabinet doors were hung upside down (with hardware at the top) but were rehung correctly as soon as I pointed them out. Mini blinds were never rehung after window casings were painted; I let it slide since the casings were still tacky from not being completely dry. Honestly, the doors/drawers should have been given an extra day to dry as they were still tacky and stuck closed when rehung. Filipo was great to work with and made sure his guys cleaned up when they left.

Calderon Painting was highly recommended by a local Asheboro business owner whose home had been painted by this group. I am very grateful for that referral, as Calderon group just completed painting the interior of our house, plus the kitchen cabinets, and it looks like a different place. The crew was trustworthy, conscientious, professional. We are very pleased with the work and would certainly hire them again.
