Previous review: If anyone is ever considering purchasing a home from Clayton (Clayton homes) just take this advice and don’t. For a company to be so large, you’d think they would be more responsive in fixing the issues that they’ve created. I guess a company that makes you sign paperwork not to sue them probably should have been a red flag. Came home today to a storm door shattered due to falling off of the hinges, in which upon walking through the house after completion was supposed to be fixed (over a month ago now). I could create a list of things that were listed on the “repair” list and none of them have been completed or repaired. The roof was reported damaged upon delivery (in December) and has yet to be repaired or replaced, the ceiling has brown spots, cabinet doors cracked upon initial inspection, floor is bubbled up, I could go on. I just moved in in March. All of these things were reported immediately and NOTHING has been done. We just keep getting “I’ll pass along the message or I’ll have someone come out”. Now I understand why they want you to sign the final paperwork before repairing things…. So they can give you the run around instead. Pathetic. Photos from today. “It’s probably just shifting from the house settling, we’ll fix it.” 1 month later and a shattered door is all I’ve got to show. Wonder how many other things are going to shatter and fall off the hinges .

Update:
The roof has now been completely replaced and the other issues as of now have been resolved. Seems with a public review it really got things moving but it shouldn't take that to take care of issues. I am not the type of person to leave reviews. It is still my opinion that if the manufacturer themselves & whomever assembles the house (not the local housing company) did things correctly the first time these problems wouldn't be a problem so I would still be cautious of Clayton homes in general and probably would take back my decision of ever purchasing from clayton.

I just want to say Andy O is a phenomenal home consultant. I am a first time home buyer and he has met every need when it comes to buying my first home. Thank you Clayton Homes for allowing my family to purchase a home that fits all of our needs. Andy O is amazing. I recommend me him when going to talk to someone about purchasing a brand new home.

We went to Clayton Homes of Asheboro after our house was burned down and worked with Omar. He was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process! Months after purchasing our home, Omar dropped by to see how everything was doing, he left a handwritten card thanking us again(and a gift card).

The windows flames arent right, there is no Insanelation in the walls at all..
They didint do nothing good at all but make us wait over a yr getting into the home..
They are high prices and cery poor build home badly.

I just closed on House #14 on June 28th,with Salesman Andy Orea. Andy was great,didn't push anything,but answered questions thoroughly,& if he didn't know the answer he found out. I got some changes made,& Andy was very patient with me on those changes too,& some of the things I didn't like,he made sure there was something else that could be done. Also I got a great & reasonable discount also.He gets tickled me calling #14 my house, but it will be my house & home one day in the near future. Go see Andy Orea & the team at Clayton Homes on Hwy 64 West in Asheboro,right by the BP station. They will help you find your forever home too. Andy...I'll be coming by my house soon to look,& think of ways to decorate it.

Gabe , our salesman, was very helpful and took time to let us walk through the trailers answering any questions that we had.

If you are anything like me, understanding the home buying process is very important in making educated decisions, after all, buying a home is one of the biggest financial investments an individual or family will make. Gabe is very knowledgeable about the intricacies of this line of work. He was always there when we needed him to answer all our questions with great detail.
There are many steps and people involved in this process and having a person like Gabe who is able to coordinate and communicate effectively can literally break or make a deal.

Waiting for the movers to move the house but I can't say I've had any issues or complaints about any of the process so far. Omar S. Has been helping us. It's not a small decision to buy a future home but he has made it super easy, he's explained everything clearly and efficiently always on time and always with a great attitude.

I cannot say enough good about Clayton homes! We went back in around May last year looking and was never pressured they were kind and helpful. so finally in October we were able to purchase our home from them and from papers signed until we got into our home just a few days ago they have been fantastic! We’ve had a few issues but they have been very quick to get someone out to fix them for us . I highly recommend Clayton’s you will not be disappointed! Also we dealt with Cesar there and he’s been wonderful he kept us updated on everything as the process went and stayed on top of things we can never thank him Enough

Been almost a year since we signed the paperwork they have done nothing but cost us a ton of money will never do business with them again and now seeking lawyer to sue them for what we been through still haven't gotten the home done and we get it the runaround Clayton homes is a joke but I'll get the last laugh when they get hit with my lawsuit

Went in to show other family members what their dreams COULD be a reality and as ALWAYS Clayton did NOT disappoint ! Now they family is on board with budgeting & planning to reach their goal of home ownership VERY SOON AND WILL DEFINITELY become a part of the Clayton family ! They were very impressed with the quality, home sizes, prices and sales people having a lot of knowledge about many aspects of the whole process and that they didn't feel pressured, like they were an inconvenience or village idiots for asking questions.

Not here to make anyone feel bad just to be honest. Everything from the start seems really good until we finally got the home, it took over a year to get the home and the inside just looked rushed. Bathroom mirrors started falling off, half the home had a/c the other half didn’t, the duct vent under my home wasn’t even installed correctly. When I called I was pretty much told it was on my end. It’s a brand new 2020 home and am spending hundreds to pay it off, it just doesn’t seem fair to pay for something new and get something less than that.

My husband and I retired to family property and wanted to build a new home on the land. We began working with Miranda a couple years ago and she was fabulous as we navigated all of the decisions to be made. Omar has help me twice he has always done his very best for me and my wife. We came to (Omar) clayton homes about a year ago but circumstances kept us from buying then. We came back in December and he helped us again just like before. This time we still didn't buy the beautiful home he helped us with but that was between me and the banks.
After all that Omar was and is still so very helpful getting our money back and just caring about us.

This particular store has great people. We were “dealt with” terribly at another location not too far from here, but Clayton Asheboro is truly top notch. We have been in our home a couple months now and have had no problems, no horror stories like people sometimes tell about “mobile Homes.” The only thing mobile about our home is how it got here. It’s extremely well insulated inside and out. We are still extreme pleased with it and Clayton Asheboro, and credit Miranda for taking such good care of us through the process!

Now it's July 2022 and I have referred as many people as will listen to me about this particular Clayton store. Miranda is the best! We are still very happy with our home and can't say enough about how good Miranda was to work with.

…and here it is November of 2024. Our house still has no issues, everything is as it should be. No issues. If we sell we will go back to Clayton Asheboro, and hope Miranda is still there to sell us another home. Thanks once again, Miranda!!

My family and I had been searching for what seemed like the longest time for the perfect house and floor plan. We tried other places before Clayton and we constantly got denied for the homes we looked and all they showed us were houses out of our price range.
