I hired Alen to put on a new metal roof in July 2021 under the name Ex Amish Roofing. My skylights, chimney and roof have been leaking ever since. When I would call him he would just caulk everything. He also would tell me that nothing was wrong when he would come out. He would tell me he looked and there is no leak. First, he glued all 3 of my remote skylights shut. He put faulty flashing around the skylights and around the chimney. After almost 3 years of leaking this past January he told me he would rip part of the roof up and put paper down because he said it was condensation. He should have put ice and shield and protective paper down in the first place. I have had several roofers out because I was told that it was such poor installation that it could not be fixed and that I needed a new roof. Every reputable roofer that came out was very sorry to report to me that the roof was trashed. I have mold from all of the leaking and it's going to cost over $21,000 to remediate the mold. His two young sons installed the roof, and there's no way at their age they could have had the skill to do it. Please do not buy a cheap roof from this man.
