First off this place is a joke. Always have to wait forever to get your material. But, the only sales person I get connected with is " Emmanuel castano" and he is terrible. Last two times I needed a quote from him he didn't get back to me, so I called and he was out of office of course for days. Needed a quote again after that and it has been 2 days and still no quote has been sent to me. It's very frustrating and ridiculous I think he should be replaced ASAP so people can actually get their quotes in a timely manner. And not have to deal with someone who is never in office.

Great service .
They pick your order and load on your truck or trailer. Prices are better than the other big chain stores too .
They have about anything you need to complete your project.

Called to have a patio door delivered that would fit the frame measurements. It was off by a foot. They disregarded my request to deliver it after 2pm and delivered it at 8am! Then it's been a total joke to get it picked up and returned. Forest is stuck in the middle of all of this and the trucking department is lacking major leadership!

Needed six lock washers for deep cell battery posts. Asked the lady if I could take one (10 cents) lock washer out to my car to insure correct diameter.
She said I’d have to pay for it first, and do a (10 cents) return, if it was the wrong size.
Been a customer here for over 10 years,
both businesses and personal.
I’ll shop elsewhere !!!

Big store, good selection, friendly and more than helpful floor staff, if and when needed. And unlike other hardware stores in the area? They may not always carry exactly what you're looking for... But they know right where it's at if they do carry it. I'd give them a five star but pricing, while not super high, is higher than where it normally should be. But, that's life in the small town.

Great experience here. The staff go above and beyond to help you out. Prices were very good too. Will be my go to stop for materials and tools whenever we do work in Shelton. Jordan and Caleb were extremely helpful with loading up lumber and plywood. Highly recommended!

These people here are the best. A hometown store for builder and homeowners. It’s like a Home Depot if HD didn’t suck

They always have what is needed. It is convenient. I just hate their prices. 1/2 the time I am 50/50 on going to Olympia..

The woman cashier with a nasty attitude has lost you a contractor's business. We are willing to pay a little more to support local, but we have had nothing but bad experiences with her and have seen her be incredibly disrespectful to many other customers as well. I do not know her name, but your other employees have to know who we are talking about, as everyone else there is very kind and helpful.

High prices, but decent customer service, mostly. I called about an item, she told me it was in stock and even gave me the aisle number. I arrived, asked her again where it was located, she told me. I searched everywhere, and nothing related to my search was there. Went back and asked someone else. She said if it wasn't there, they didn't have it. Made a special trip there because the item was sold out everywhere else. Ended up ordering it from Amazon. This happens frequently, unfortunately. We're encouraged to buy from local, small businesses, but can't find what we need. Sad.

Builder's FirstSource and Forrest (salesman?) are quickly becoming our favorite lumber yard to go to. Forrest has been so helpful in our endeavor of weatherizing and repairing our RV home.

Staff friendly and helpful. They have had almost all things I've needed for home projects so I didn't have to travel. Prices seemed a little high. But also I'm not a price expect in the building supply area. It's been a great go to place when I've needed things in a pinch !

We Answer Frequently Asked Questions
Pricing questions
1. What is the average roof replacement cost for a residential home?
+-

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.

2. How much does it usually cost to replace the roof of a commercial building?

3. What factors affect the overall roof repair cost?
+-

Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.

4. What is the typical roof leak repair cost, and how is it calculated?
+-

Roof leak repair cost generally ranges from $300 to $800, depending on the size and location of the leak, the materials required, and labor intensity. Complex leaks involving structural repairs or interior damage will cost more.

5. What is the average flat roof repair cost for commercial buildings?

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?
+-

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
