We were travelers that broke down. Not too far from the dealership. Had to be towed in. Wheel bearing was bad and they had it fixed and we were back on the road in a couple of hours. Lost an injector in my diesel P/U and had to be towed into Emporia Va from Jarrat Va. After checking with the service consultant, Delano Washington via cell, that Boyd GMC would and could accomodate my vehicle being towed in, looked at, and me probably receiving a "this is what we can do" report before they closed for the day was a good enough for me deal.
When I arrived with the vehicle in tow I met Delano and he was the real deal. Looked me in the eye, promised nothing, but told me the who, what, where, when, and how they would approach the situation, I felt a lot more comfortable post meeting. Turned out Dennis, the diesel mechanic, diagnosed something other than what Delano and I thought it might be, and so the injector issue would need a deeper dive. By close of business we had a plan and based on their work schedule, the vehicle would need to be in house for approximately a week...!
Taking DEEP BREATH, and knowing the vehicle was in capable hands I made plans to rent a vehicle from one of the nationals nearby, which turned into a shxx storm for the next 16 hours.
Boyd GMC arranged to give me a ride to Roanoke Rapids 20 miles, Thank You Tommy, but two national rental companies lost my forever business due to employees who..forget it.
As promised, between Delano Washington, the service consultant, Dennis the diesel tech and Tommy the chauffer everything was all A+. Dennis and Tommy both spoke to me like I had known them for years, and Delano, well, a lot of companies I have dealt with, national ones at that, when I was working, could learn a lot on how to deal with client/customers if they sat down with Delano and had a cup of coffee. Just sayin' Thanks again!

Let's be real - everyone dreads going to a dealership to buy a car.

As I drove up 4 hours from Charlotte, NC to look at a Corvette on Boyd Chevrolet's lot, I know I was. You never know what to expect from a dealer.

Upon arrival to the dealership, I began the most pleasant, easy vehicle purchase process I've ever experienced in my life.

Wade waited at the door and greeted me as soon as I pulled up, and immediately offered a test drive of the Corvette I was looking at, no questions asked - whereas my local Chevy dealer wouldn't even let me drive one of theirs. Huge difference. Zero sales pressure from start to finish.

After test driving, Wade got me an out the door price with no BS added, just the nominal dealer fee and sales tax. No surprises. Him and Tim then proceeded to get me an extremely competitive warranty quote which shocked me, and I added it on. Not only that, but they beat my pre-approved financing terms from my credit union by a long shot, saving me thousands of dollars. Once we finalized the deal, Wade took the time to show me the car's features, answer questions, gas the car up, and clean it.

A couple hours later, I drove off the lot in my dream car. I was stunned by how great of a process it was and can't recommend Tim, Wade, & the Boyd Chevrolet team enough! 10/10, world-class customer experience!

I when to get inspection on my car. I sat there over hour waiting. Then I ask what was taking so long. The girl told me oh, you need new wiper blades. No communication in there. I felt like they just wanted to get more money out of me. So I had to sat there hour while waiting for them to get the wipers on my car. This was only to be 20.00 not a 76 00. Oh they give me 25 00 off for my wait. But this still bad severe. They have lost a custom. I used them for my oil change. Not only did lose me, also my husband. Which they did a oil change on his truck and told he had a oil leak, but didn't know where. Because he had a honda they could not tell him. Because they don't work on honda. Please tell why are you in business.

STUCK ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AFTER CAR “FIXED” AND PICKED UP FROM BUICK SERVICES!! If I could give zero stars I would. My daughters car was towed here after hours on Saturday 6/29 after her car over heated. She waited until Tuesday for her car to be looked at. I had to pick her up over two hours away after she stayed in a hotel Friday to get the car to Buick. Once they said her car was fixed that Wednesday , we were able to pick it up that Friday 7/5/24 due to work schedules which again was over 2 hours away. We picked up her car and it overheated on the way back home. Now it is at a new mechanic with sludge in her radiator because they misdiagnosed. Their solution is to bring back the car over 2 hours away when it is not drivable after they misdiagnosed her car as she needs a new radiator and we were stuck on the side of the road on a Friday after 6pm. Maybe rethink your customer service and problem solving skills because calling me back on 7/8/24 at 2:37pm with the response to bring the car back is not a solution you and me both know is reasonable. after paying over $500 to end up on the side of the road before getting home and had to have it taken to another mechanic. Unacceptable! Do better!

Traveling from Florida today and ran into an issue with our tire. Thank God we notice the change in how the car started driving and was able to pull over literally 3 min from the dealership. Beware if you purchase a used vehicle!
I've given two stars only because it was a very simple deal, fast and professional. I guess maybe too fast because before we pourchased the vehicle, I didn't really take the time the look over the vehicle for dents and scratches. We did purchase a used 2021 Arcadia Denali that was in immaculate
shape. I did spot out a couple chips and was immediately told to bring the vehicle back ( we live an hour away) and they would take care of it. After getting home a day later I spot a small dent in the door panel. My husband calls the salesman to tell him and he was told it would be taken care of the day the chips were touched up. When we get here today the three chips was nicely repaired. However, we were charged $100.00 for the dent to be repaired which took all of ten minutes. This vehicle I'm mentioning here cost us $40, 000.00 and the dealership wouldn't absorb that $100.00 repair. I would have highly recommended Charles Boyd Chevrolet to our many friends and relatives, not now!

I was a little hesitant to drive so far (1.5 hours) to check out the vehicle, but it was everything Nick said it was.

I went to white motors about the A8 transmission shudder that everyone knows about. My car is under power train warranty and wires refused to warranty it. They told me that flushing the trans was covered under warranty but replacing the fluid is considered routine maintenance and I had to pay for the fluid because it costs more. I called Boyd and spoke to Mrs kathy as I knew whites was lying. She got me on the service schedule the same day and warrantied the transmission service with no problem and no hassle whatsoever. They have earned my future business

I talked with Wade about a vehicle that I was interested in. I live 2.5 hours away, and I wanted specific pictures and details about the SUV, so that I would not waste the time to make the drive if it wasn't acceptable to me. Wade was very friendly, sent multiple pictures from different views, answered all questions, and was by far the most polite car salesman I have ever encountered. We arrived about 30 mins late due to traffic, but Wade was ready for us. We took the SUV on a test drive, asked questions, and came back to talk numbers. No time was wasted in the offer for my trade, which was quite surprisingly a very fair value. We told them what the numbers needed to be to make the sale, and within minutes, we were in the finance department signing paperwork. There was no time wasted in back and forth shenanigans, hard ball, or any of the other things I've dealt with before.
This was BY FAR the best car buying experience that I've ever had, and will definitely recommend Wade at Boyd of Emporia.

traded in my 15 Audi Q5 for a 16 GMC yukon last year. Few days after purchase, I had transmission issues. Called in & service was supposed to return call, they didn't for days. Returned the call, got an appointment, they called to cancel day before. Day of appointment I asked should I have a ride pick me up because I had a 2 year old. they said no, wouldn't take long. I was literally there from 8 AM until 3 PM, just for them to tell me they did a transmission flush & my transmission would fix itself in 500 miles. Came back in within a few months, figured I'd give it a chance. The technician said he test drove it 20+ miles & it never even shuddered. As I pulled out of Boyd, I felt the shudder. Still had the same exact issues but didn't think I should take it back due to them already telling me they didn't find anything. Now, here I am - 1 year into purchasing vehicle with a messed up transmission AND rear end. It's an absolute disgrace. I usually praise Boyd for upholding high standards but this is unbelievable. Called in today just to tell them what had happened & it was basically "Sorry for your luck, those Transmissions are junk, sometimes the flush fixes them, sometimes it doesn't. however you haven't called so there's nothing we can do." they sold me this vehicle KNOWING the issues but didn't want to fix it.

will not cover warranty. the truck had a leveling kit on the front end a arm broke and they would not cover it and it was still under warranty the leveling kit was on it when it was bought and paid for a warranty but they would not cover it for the air arms being broke. BAD SERVICE!!

When I tell you I'm so over this place. So I than dropped my vehicle off Friday May 20, 2022 at 7:30 a.m. its now Tuesday May 24, 2022 and my vehicle still the same way I dropped it off. Not one screw been touched and all I want is my vehicle fix! Is that too much to ask? They over price when it comes to parts and labor, which my own Warranty people don't want to deal with them after this. The company I have my Warranty through called me personally and told me if I continue to use their service. That I would be responsible for all cost when it comes to my vehicle. However, if I move my service elsewhere then they will cover the cost in full. Meaning a $0 out of pocket cost because the cost I'm looking to pay now! I never paid at any other dealership, which I understand where my Warranty people coming from. They rude, don't appreciate their customers and they adding additional charges you don't know anything about! Unless you asking questions and getting them to break it down and you catch them in their mistake.

Saved the day for us! This is the service, sympathy and expertise you hope to find in a dealership. On a trip from NY to Savannah we pulled into Boyd's with ABS and Traction control lights which came on navigating an on-ramp in Norfolk and refused to reset. As we stopped to fuel up right in front of their shop, I asked for sympathy for travelers to see if they'd scan me to see what was happening - was I safe to drive or not? Kathy found a slot for me, and Dennis the Tech discovered I had a bad wheel bearing on the left front. He showed me the loose wheel. The parts dept. had the part, they took us in and we were on the road the same afternoon. Great job, Thank You!!

My husband and I were searching the internet for a 2019 Chevrolet Impala. We hated to see the Impala get discontinued because we love the history of the car, its body style, performance and reliability. We found a 2019 Impala on the internet at Boyd Chevrolet in Emporia, Va. with extremely low mileage and the in the color we were looking for. We called and spoke with Nick. He was extremely helpful and happy to answer any questions we had about the car. Even though we could see the interior and exterior pictures of the car on the Internet, Nic took the time to go out and video record the exterior and interior of the car. We have never bought a car site unseen before, and thought we never would. Nick assured us the car looked brand new inside and out and had the car delivered to our home at no extra charge ( we live in NC) We were not disappointed! The car looks brand new! We bought a 2017 GMC Acadia from Boyds about a month ago. When we were looking at it there was a mark on the back quarter panel and I asked if they would fix it and Rick said they would buff it out.
A couple of days after buying it I noticed it had a pull to the right and the infotainment system was messing up. I called and they said bring it in and they will check it out. They did an alignment and said the infotainment needed to be replaced, I had purchased a warranty and that would be covered, we had a 100.00 deductable. They ended up having to sand and paint the mark on the back so with that, they had done an alignment, sanded and painted the back quarter panel and replaced the infotainment system while giving me a loaner while mine was in the shop. I come to pick it up thinking I have 100.00 deductible and probably a diagnostic fee and maybe an alignment to pay for, to my surprise when I went to pick up he says there is no charge. Since we had just purchased the car he said they were covering everything including the deductible. Everyone there is so friendly and I am so pleased with how they handled everything. I would definitely recommend this dealership.

We were driving down I95 on our way to NC and an object in the road hit the underside of the car and left a rattling noise. We pulled off in Emporia to find that the panel was knocked off and dragging. We called around and only Boyd's agreed to put the car on a rack and check it out as busy and shorthanded as they were that day. They were able to pin the panel back in place and we were on our way about an hour later. The staff was friendly, let us bring our two dogs inside on that hot day, and even gave them water and treats. I wish there were more places that offered this kind of service.

They took me in without an appointment and had me back on the road in 2 hours, even though it was obvious that they were incredibly busy. Would highly recommend their service department. Wow here we go. Had a maintenance appointment today at 2. Arrives on time gentleman tells me I'm not in the system. Hey kept searching but then pretty boy had to put his two minutes in it. Stating he think he talked to me for the appointment and tried to come up with some balm excuse. If you made a mistake just omit it. Don't try to put the balm on me. Why would I take off from work to sent money. I really want to thanks to the older gentleman to solved the problem. As for Mr Pretty boy keep looking down on people with your arms folded. I highly recommend Boyd in Henderson North Carolina where everyone is treated with respect. Services there is great.

Brown and Wood in Greenville really put me in a tough situation when I purchased a 2016 Tahoe I was not happy with. I only had the car a couple of weeks and they were going to charge me a ridiculous amount to trade in. On December 31, 2018 I took my Cadalllic Escalade in for making a strang nose on my way to Delaware with my family for the New year. Also to let you know i didn’t have a appointment .The mechanic Todd test drove it checked it out Found out what it was I got it fixed I thought being a Dealer ship I needed to stay away ...Boy was I wrong The price was Reasonable Todd was so friendly along with the service manger I forgot his name He had glasses.,and Kathy jumped right on top of it .My running board came down and Todd pulled it back in the shop Pouring down raining and got it back up .Just saying again Boyd Chevrolet and staff Rock !! I have used Boyd for maintenance and repairs on my cars since moving to this area in 2011. I have had confidence in the service department and always felt all service was done well. However, this most recent repair was not a good experience. I didn't feel listened to and when I questioned the service manager, I feel I was again, not being heard. The experience was stressful. I have lost confidence in the service department.

I have Priority for Life with my 2018 which includes oil change, etc for life for free. I cant make it to colonial heights so I decided to call Boyd and pay for it. The lady Angie gave me every excuse possible, she doesn't know how much the oil filter is, she doesn't know how many quarts are gonna be used, basically saying they only service GM cars. That's fine I will take my money elsewhere.

Terrible auto auto service as terrible as their chevy cars.Brought my car for check light flash on problem and after 5 minutes of inspection charged me 60 bucks and said its my radiator problem whereas infact it was my oil that ranout.what a rip off.thats why people dont trust any dealership

Back in June, I drove halfway across the country and ended up not driving away in a new Krypton Green 2017 Camaro 2SS(there were issues with the car that GM would not fix under warranty).
